Right, summary of prayer requests from last thread......

Mars - As always, her buses have all come at once! Prayers for smooth juggling of essays, births and homelife.

Katz - Prayers for her DD as she attends another appt for her skin condition.

SueBaroo - Prayers as she has recently change her meds for depression - Prayers for this period of adjustment as she is feeling tired and weary.

MaryBS - Continued prayers for her friend N who has been hospitalised with a flesh eating bug She is making good progress atm DS has just been diagnosed with Asperger's and Mary has fears she may have the condition too, prayers for this period of adjustment and acceptance. Prayers for her studies and for her Boss at work whose mother has died suddenly.

NotSoFarNow - Has gone MIA! COME BACK!! Lots of prayers needed atm. xxxxxx Also prayers for her friend who has just had surgery for a detached retina is in a lot of pain and discomfort.

Quadrophenia - Prayers for the family of a little girl from her DS' Pre-School who has recently died while waiting on the transplant list for a new heart.

harrisey - Banish those bugs, Lord!! The harrisey household has been v.poorly of late. Prayers for her DH as he changes depression meds .....Prayers for DS who is being bullied at school, he only started in Aug.

Mummy2T&F - Her DH suddenly died while on holiday not so long ago Prayers for her & her children as they struggle to accept his abscence and for them all as they investigate the possibilty of Mafan's Syndrome possibly being a cause of death and an inherited condition for their DS.

RoseyLea - Prayers for continued much better health.....Prayer as she contemplates her "vocation" and ponders the possibility of giving up work!! Prayers for her brave DD and her eczema, particularly as it is causing a bit of bullying at school.

QueenofQuotes - Praise God her and her DH are "getting it on much better"!!!!! Prayers for her grandad who is dying, a swift, painless end, Lord, surrounded by those he loves most. xx

Trace2 - Prayers for her 13 week old baby girl, Chloe, who is in hospital experiencing seizures.

Bobsmum - Recently wrote off her Range Rover in a car accident while she was driving with DD in the car. Prayers for their health, that all is well after the horrid experience, especially for MiniTBean.

NotQuiteGrownUp - Prayers for Sandra from Housegroup whose DH died while they were on holiday recently Prayers that all her grumpiness would disappear and that she would be positive and cheerful in her approach to life, esp with DS1

Pepperpots - Absolute CRAP about being punished for being a "bad mother" ...... I am not sure what wonderful, intelligent, wise things I can say about your not being able to concieve so far, but I just KNOW for a fact that your inability to concieve at the present time is NO WAY anything to do with being punished!! {{{{more hugs}}}}

x-posted lots while sorting out poo and wee accidents from both older DD's .... sigh ..... plonked them in front of Charlie and Lola now so hopefully have a few spare moment til friends arrive to play.

thank you all for your prayers, have been soo busy haven't had a chance to report back after DD2's 2 hospital appointments. The first with the Dermatologist went really well, he thinks the rash is receeding which is what we'd hoped but didn't like to actually say out loud. The second with the gastro guy also went well, he has added to DD's medicine and we shoud hopefully she an improvement in digestive system soon and we can then start to potty train! so again

prayers for everyone else - just off to read the rest of the thread!

Oh stop you've made me cry now I know it sounds silly but i just could not think if any other reason as to why this has happened. Is it because i didn't give thanks when my two were born or when i mc'd blamed Him?( i know that is an awful awful thing to say )

Pepperpot, I'm another one who thought I ought to be punished for something I'd done, to the extent I didn't go to church for years. Its worth saying again, that when I finally did ask for forgiveness it was like "at last! I forgave you ages ago, what took you so long"!! He is a loving lovely God, and wouldn't punish you in this way. Sometimes what IS his way isn't clear, but its a question of trusting him to do what's right. He has the big picture!

Please pray for me. Something awful has happened at work. It's not my fault, but because of who I work for, it may make the papers. I can't say anything more than that... if it makes the papers I'll let you know... (I thought I'd had my 15 mins of fame because of Eggheads! ). Please pray that it all gets sorted today (in my absence!) and that Mon/Tues won't be TOO horrible...

Pepperpots - welcome - glad you came along

Don't know if this makes any sense to you, but your situation reminded me of a story I heard once and I thought it might help. Forgive me if I don;t tell it brilliantly, but hopefully you'll get the gist

A sheep gets lost on the hillside. It wanders away and falls over a cliff landing on a precipice. It's badly injured.
The shepherd finds the sheep and watches over it from the top of the cliff. Meanwhile the sheep is terrified, panicking and thrashing around. The shepherd is still watching. After many, many hours the injured sheep is exhausted and stops struggling and allows the shepherd to approach him. The shepherd is able to climb down and rescue the sheep now it is still.
Sometimes it is only after we've exhausted ourselves and all the opportunities that (we think)are available, that God is able to step in and do the impossible. When we stop trying to do things in our own strength, his power is able to take over, but only if we let him.

Pdmog - I had a similar situation in a previous church. A "powerful" person in the congregation decided to drop our friendship and the repercussions were wide and horrible. Years later we're finding out that we weren't the only ones it happened to, but nobody said anything because you're not "meant" to fall out with people in church. Which is pants and unbiblical. People were just too cowardly to do the right thing and would rather keep their heads down. I pray that this is resolved quickly, sensitively and gently - you need to pray to remain blameless in this and ask for wisdom. Gossip and bitterness can rip a church apart - so pray for protection against that too. hth.

And as for me! Well thank you everyone for your prayers! The police were supposed to come and speak to me today, but phoned and cancelled at the very last minute. He said he didn't want to stress me anymore because I'm pregnant and that he would submit a report without charging me!!!!

I'd really like to pray for Burma

We heard about what is going on today in college as one of our lecturers is a bit of an authority on Thai/Burmese Bhuddism, and has links in the counrty.

Apparantly in one of the monasteries the "riot police" (who appear to be basically street thugs recruited very recently and armed by the government) they lined up 200 monks, stripped and tortured the head monk and bludgeoned him to death and then killed all the monks by smashing their heads off the wall. 10 survived by hiding and had got out with this info.

In the meantime more 'riot police' charged the crowd outside with bayonets and then fired into the crowd.

What else can we do but pray. (oh and bother your MP if you do that sort of thing)
