First of all we want to give thanks for Peter's new heart and keep praying for Misdee (LadyVictoriaOfCake), the three girls and the extended family. Pray for continuing healing and a full recovery.

In tension with that we pray for Onlyjoking and Steve and their three children, together with Steve's mother and his (twin) brother. Let us commit them in prayer to the God of miracles and of blessing. Pray that they will find help in the most unexpected places and that the 'peace of God which passes all understanding' will fill their heart.

Prayers for CaptainCaveman in a difficult situation with dsis in hospital. Praying for grace to cope from day to day with issues that are longstanding and unresolved. Prayer for restful nights and an deliverance from panic attacks.
Give thanks for an understanding manager at work.

CaptainDippy gives thanks for dh's new job, which is going well so far and for Phoebe sleeping through the night. Prayers to cope with all the stress of having three 'ickle pickles'.

Harrisey - thanks for a holiday that was better than expected. Thanks for a smooth start to school for ds. Prayers for dh, proper adjustment of medication and for an end to H's migraine.

We pray for MaryBS for a wonderful time on holiday also for Mufti. NASWM (Losty) Let's give thanks that she is getting better, although she is nowhere near well. Hoping to be discharged in September. Pray for the necessary help to be found. (Thanks to DumbledoresGirl for the update). If possible post a message on the thread. here
NotSoFarNow Pray for her as she continues to adjust to life without husband. Pray for relationships with her family and for the new beginnings that may be possible. Pray for wisdom in the situation.

PandaG Pray for her and her friends who are moving away leaving a void.

Podglet Pray that the house situation may be resolved very speedily

QueenofQuotes Give thanks with her for an improving relationship with dh. Pray for the older dss that they may find time to have some Christian teaching as well as sport on a Sunday.

Roseylea gives thanks for the wonderful wedding of fil and for good conversations with dh. Pray for this to continue so that all issues may be resolved. Pray also for recovery from cold and protection from threatened Crohn's attack.

Xaviella has seen the end of her relationship in the last week. Pray for the peace of God to surround her and her family as she adjusts to life on her own

ZipadySuzy is back after a wonderful lady at the library gave her a computer. Unfortunately all stuff from her old computer has been lost at the repairers.
Pray that she will be able to pace herself

Also remember Katz NQGU and Worzella.

Finally:- Give thanks to the Lord always. Rejoice in the Lord always. God is great. ..all the time

Sorry I DO think it would be good if you could find time for yourself though...

Shreksmissus - sorry I never said welcome before (and you Commanderchaos!). Hope DH got home safely. Its hard when you have a tough night with the children. They're allowed to be grumpy and tired, but you have to carry on regardless!

I'm slowly starting to feel normal again, although I've got lots of work to do, and as deadlines approach, I've no doubt I'll get more stressed... . Still, faith in the Lord, he knows what he's doing!

God bless all! Looks like another sunny day here, which always lifts the spirit!

MOrning all

thanks to God that DS has settled really quickly and happily into his new (junior) school. Also that DD has settled quickly back at the infants.

Praying for your workload Mary, and that shrek gets home for you to spend some decent time together shreksmissus!

Good morning!

Wow - a spare moment before the school run! Dc all dressed and washed and brushed, no major tantrums - thank you God! (first day this week that the morning has gone well!)

HI Shreksmissus - hope you get some time with your dh soon. That's very late to be working! Does he do shift work? If so I know alllllllll about that and the strain it is on family life...

NSFN hugs (if you do hugs).

So ds went off to nursery yesterday and had a lovely morning. In the afternoon his new teachers came round for a "home visit" and I just thought I'd share this with you; he asked them if they wanted to play "ice hockey with food" or, failing that, have a "race with food"! He was talking about some little cards he's got with pictures of different foods on them, but the teachers weren't to know that! I should have gone along with it and said "Oh yes we love playing this" and gone and got some broccoli out of the fridge and a few bananas...! We could be the local eccentrics!

Hello ladies, I am back again - for a while this time!

Dh and I have been away for a few days - MIL came to look after the kids, we went to a Civil Partnership in B'ham and then to visit my bro in Swansea - great fun all round. Nice to get some time just the two of us, and to not have to get up in the morning.

Not so great since we got home - MIL used to be fab with the kids but this time was a bit all over the place - letting them eat whatever they liked, too many sweets, keeping them up late, not brushing the girls hair (cos they didnt want her to), etc .. feel a bit bad for moaning tbh but they are all in foul moods as they are tired and havent been eating properly and have been totally indulged behaviour wise for 5 days. Its one thing to treat them when it is the holidays but not so good when it is term time - she was letting them stay up over an hour past their usual bedtimes on a school night. AH well, we have the weekend to get everything back to normal!

We are going tomorrow to a kids 'Praise Party' with Doug Horley (if you have come across him you will remember - fabby kids Christian music) so that should be good fun.

Today is housework day. Esp the bathroom -- its disgusting!

Nice to be back, though!

Message from CD - she asks me to send you all her love and let you know she is praying for you all. DO - would you mind summarising and setting up a new thread please? Can we all pray for CD and her stress levels - she is fine, just she is very busy and things are getting on top of her, plus if we could pray for peace for her for a particular awkward situation...

(sneaking on at work again... so v. quick visit!)

DutchOma · 07/09/2007 15:48

I wondered where CD was. Of course I will be praying for her. I will gladly do a summary, I'll see how far I get, it may have to wait till tomorrow or even Sunday
