First of all we want to give thanks for Peter's new heart and keep praying for Misdee (LadyVictoriaOfCake), the three girls and the extended family. Pray for continuing healing and a full recovery.

In tension with that we pray for Onlyjoking and Steve and their three children, together with Steve's mother and his (twin) brother. Let us commit them in prayer to the God of miracles and of blessing. Pray that they will find help in the most unexpected places and that the 'peace of God which passes all understanding' will fill their heart.

Prayers for CaptainCaveman in a difficult situation with dsis in hospital. Praying for grace to cope from day to day with issues that are longstanding and unresolved. Prayer for restful nights and an deliverance from panic attacks.
Give thanks for an understanding manager at work.

CaptainDippy gives thanks for dh's new job, which is going well so far and for Phoebe sleeping through the night. Prayers to cope with all the stress of having three 'ickle pickles'.

Harrisey - thanks for a holiday that was better than expected. Thanks for a smooth start to school for ds. Prayers for dh, proper adjustment of medication and for an end to H's migraine.

We pray for MaryBS for a wonderful time on holiday also for Mufti. NASWM (Losty) Let's give thanks that she is getting better, although she is nowhere near well. Hoping to be discharged in September. Pray for the necessary help to be found. (Thanks to DumbledoresGirl for the update). If possible post a message on the thread. here
NotSoFarNow Pray for her as she continues to adjust to life without husband. Pray for relationships with her family and for the new beginnings that may be possible. Pray for wisdom in the situation.

PandaG Pray for her and her friends who are moving away leaving a void.

Podglet Pray that the house situation may be resolved very speedily

QueenofQuotes Give thanks with her for an improving relationship with dh. Pray for the older dss that they may find time to have some Christian teaching as well as sport on a Sunday.

Roseylea gives thanks for the wonderful wedding of fil and for good conversations with dh. Pray for this to continue so that all issues may be resolved. Pray also for recovery from cold and protection from threatened Crohn's attack.

Xaviella has seen the end of her relationship in the last week. Pray for the peace of God to surround her and her family as she adjusts to life on her own

ZipadySuzy is back after a wonderful lady at the library gave her a computer. Unfortunately all stuff from her old computer has been lost at the repairers.
Pray that she will be able to pace herself

Also remember Katz NQGU and Worzella.

Finally:- Give thanks to the Lord always. Rejoice in the Lord always. God is great. ..all the time

Oh Podglet...One comfort:- Your Father in heaven knows exactly what is happening and can turn anything to good. If you are prepared to submit your will to His then everything will turn out for the best. How far gone are you? Can't help smiling about yet another little life being prepared for life on earth. Every blessing

yi-ppee podglet!! Hope this is a wonderful blessing for you. Ds insists we add smilies...

DutchOma · 31/08/2007 18:47

Quote from Karl Barth in Tear Fund magazine:- "To clasp the hands in prayer is the beginning of an uprising against the disorder of the world"

Just wanted to share that with you.

Hello all - sorry to interrupt but I wondered if you would pray for my friend's son who might be about to be diagnosed with autism. If he was, they would have to leave where we live in Germany and move back to the UK as there aren't the doctors in place for him out here.
His mum, who I've only just met but hope to get to know better, is an amazing woman who had real problems with drugs and alcohol before she became a Christian and I know she would appreciate the combined efforts of Mumsnet praying for her lovely son.
Thanks x

notsofarnow · 31/08/2007 21:22

praying scootergrrrl don't know what else to say.

can we pray for my xh he's down feels he's trapped as he still can't have his driving license back, says he's been drinking loads which is so dangerous because of his addictive personality - says he doesn't even like the stuff - so what does that tell you. Has been asked to be taken off the church roll as his lifestyle doesn't fit that what it should be and says he's got nothing left to think about God.

Poor dd can of hairspray fell on her poorly head this evening. ds seems to have a bit of a dodgy tummy this eve hopefully won't turn into anything.

DutchOma · 31/08/2007 21:48

Praying for scootergirrls (?) friend's son and for his mum. Difficult when you are in a foreign contry.
Also for your exh problems nsfn, hopefully you can hold fast to the promises of the Lord for you and support him through your faith. Must be hard after what you've both gone through.

CaptainCaveman · 01/09/2007 08:40

Scootergrrrl praying for your friends son, may the Lord surround your friend with all the support and care she needs.

Praying for your xh too nsfn, as you know my dsis is now a recovering (thank you God) alcoholic. Its so hard to see someone you care about in freefall self-destruction. As one of these wise christian mners advised me - pray it all up to God for He is the one who can make a difference.

Well what a gorgeous sunny morning! I'm really really happy so Praise God!! I have an ironing mountain to conquer but even that doesn't dampen my spirits . Must be the drugs .

how are all you lovely ladies? x

ZipadiSuzy · 01/09/2007 10:26

CC - Hia! I don't know where our sunshine is this morning, cause we havent got it in the south of notts may well have to come to town to reach the warmth continued prayers for your dsis, I bet you are so proud of her 'keeping of the booze' I pray she gets lots of encouragement and support to maintain her good work! also prayers for her dd

Podglet, please hang in there, I'm sure your dp will be thrilled, if you were going to start after xmas, its not much out of your time scale, perhaps this might strengthen him and put things into perspective a little bit. We are always here for support. Hope everything goes ok

scootergirl - welcome and prayers are zooming all the way to Germany, hope your friend can find some support for her child without the upheaval of moving to uk, may the lord see her christian strength and help her and her lo

NSFN - prayers for your xh, I hope he can find his faith to strengthen his mind to help himself, and prayers for you to manage with dc through what must feel very sad for them.

Right I must start painting twins room, will I ever get it done!

Prayers for my dneic, 16wk pregnant with identical twins and suffering

Please send the sunshine the other end of notts CC

hi
wonder if i could ask for some prayers, please?
for my mil, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer at 76, and fil and lovely dh as they deal with it
for dh and me as we have started trying for dc no. 2
for me as i find my way back to the church, much to my surprise (but pleasure)
thank you

DutchOma · 01/09/2007 15:06

Welcome CommanderChaos.
Will certainly pray for all the issues mentioned, cancer is such an awful thing.
Very glad that you are able to make your way back to church, hope you find all the support you need there. Is this a church you were involved with before or is it a new church altogether?
I just heard this morning that one of our old ministers and his wife are expecting a new baby in February, a second one after a very scary IVF baby three years ago. Praise the Lord for all newly expected babies, conceived or in the planning.
