Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

I’ll join you in lighting a candle for parliamentary progress from a place of love and harmony speakout

And yes to the energies. The personal and political are intertwined.

I too sense a huge shift coming. There is tension, like the air before a thunderstorm, I feel it personally too something needs to snap or change. I hope the way forward is a good one.

Morning all

It's been lovely reading all the advice on here about supporting our children, whatever their age. You are all so wise, I hope to be able to do the same. Well I hope I already do!

My parents are supporting my brother today, who is in my thoughts very much. His lovely dog is 10 and has been a bit unsteady on his back legs for a while but in the past couple of days he has deteriorated badly and they are taking him to the vets today. I think it's likely he will be PTS. I'm so glad he won't have to suffer but so very very sad too. Remembering when he was just a tiny little pup and can't believe how the time has flown.

I think I may go light a candle for him, there's nothing I can do but it feels right.

YashmisCrone

Just ordered those Oracle cards. Could not resist! Thanks for the information.

Hello all

I don't sense a big shift. Different things for different people I guess.

Today, I had to do something I really didn't want to do. I was at mum's house. There was a cat circling from front to back for a while, then she sat on the doorstep till just before I left. I think she was trying to be supportive 😁

YashmisCrone · 19/10/2019 18:56

Ooh, exciting speakout, I keep putting them in my basket...

Love to you and your family Tempest, I think lighting a candle for the dog is a lovely thing to do. They really are an important part of our families aren’t they Flowers

Cats are very perceptive aren’t they Autumn!

Elphame · 19/10/2019 19:48

Hello - waves to everyone. Rather a flyby I'm afraid as I have stacks of paperwork to do this weekend, including the dreaded tax return and company accounts.

Life is crazy at the moment - I'm just packing to spend a few days next week camping in Snowdonia - yes I think I have lost the plot. Any weather witches able to divert storms away from Wales please get busy!

At least afterwards I do get a trip to South Cal to experience an American style Samhain/Halloween/Day of the Dead - and to dry out a bit!

See you all in Mid November when I'm back ( assuming I first survive the camping trip!)

YashmisCrone · 19/10/2019 20:28

Good to see you Elphame and wow, what adventures ahead!

Best I’ve managed with weather witching is moving clouds but I’ll give it a go!

Look forward to hearing about the American style day of the dead.

Wishing you wonderful times away and dry, still weather 🤞

speakout · 20/10/2019 06:47

Good morning.

An early start here, I went to bed early last night, and feel fresh and ready to start my day.
Just about to take a morning bath then I thought I would take myself off to my local forest to enjoy the sunrise.
The comet show sounds amazing YashmisCrone- I remember it last time, in 1986, also a turbulent year. I wonder if this is part of the current energy shake up?

OP posts:
InTheTempest · 20/10/2019 09:22

Well the dog had a temperature and possible infection so he's been put on IV antibiotics and seemed to perk up when at the vets, he managed some food and water too. It might not be as bad as it first seemed but he's getting older now. None of us would want him to suffer. I just hope he can be around, pain free, for as long as possible.

Elphame exciting plans ahead for you, hope the weather in Wales isn't too bad!

Yashmis that comet show sounds amazing.

Hope everyone has a magical Sunday ⭐️

Glad to hear your dog is better.

Very cold here today, I have a pot of carrot and lentil soup simmering on the hob, I love soup in cold weather.
I also have too many pumpkins! lots of little ones and a couple of big ones to carve.
I love this time of year, I can have all my witchy stuff on open display, my broomstick etc, and no one asks questions!

Morning everyone. Just finished a yoga class and popping into up catch up while I drink my coffee. Look at this fab mug a friend gave me yesterday, I love it!

I spent yesterday afternoon doing tarot readings at a fayre. I was buzzing afterwards, such a fabulous way to spend the day.

Speakout your walk

in the forest to watch the sunrise sounds amazing. I do wish I was an early riser. I'm hoping to head out to the forest this afternoon with my dog.

Elphame so lovely to see you. Good luck with the camping! Snowdonia is beautiful. And how exciting to be off to California! I hope you have a wonderful time.

Yashmis those oracle cards are great aren't they? Like you, I don't normally work with Oracle cards, but I do like these. I know exactly what you mean about your primal instinct kicking in to defend your DC. I call mine my 'inner lioness'!

IntheTempest so pleased to hear your dog is feeling better, it's awful when they're ill isn't it. Sending him love for a full recovery ❤️

VioletCharlotte I love the mug- also full of admiration for you doing readings at these events. It takes courage and insight- you go woman!!

Thought I would share this word I discovered.
Pluviophile - (n) a lover of rain; someone who finds joy and peace of mind during rainy days.

OP posts:
InTheTempest · 20/10/2019 13:46

Thankyou Speakout and Violet.

Violet I love the mug! This is my favourite mug, bought in Glastonbury earlier this year. I hope the readings went well yesterday.

Speakout what a fantastic word, I think I could be a pluviophile. Some days there's nothing nicer than being cosy inside and watching the rain come down. Although it never stops be going outside for a walk too. I've found it to be a good hangover cure, a long walk outside in the rain, when it's cool outside even better 😄

VioletCharlotte · 20/10/2019 19:53

Inthetempest
I love that mug, it's beautiful!

The readings went really well thank you. I enjoy doing them so much and It feels like such a privilege to be asked. I always get a bit nervous beforehand, but I put myself in spirits hand and they just take over. Most of the time I can't actually remember much of what was said afterwards.

I hope you've all had an enjoyable Sunday. I went for a walk in the woods with my dog and DS2 earlier and made a veggie sausage casserole for dinner. Perfect for an autumn evening!

SalemSpellman · 20/10/2019 22:23

I am just flying by to say I am reading the thread, life has been busy since the last full moon! I love the mug pictures, I hope they will contain many a restful and nourishing brew.

BlankTimes · 20/10/2019 23:20

I'm having a lot of synchronicities lately, love the mug Violet I saw it on a website recently and put it on my wishlist.

Just a reminder for everyone to look for the shooting stars emanating from Halley's comet in the Orion's belt area, some tonight, best show Mon and Tues, from Yashmis' link upthread a little way.

Wow Elphame have wonderful adventures, go girl!

Speakout think I'll be more pluviophile when I've had my leaky window fixed, I prefer pluvio outside rather than in Halloween Wink

YashmisCrone · 21/10/2019 07:28

Good morning,

Just catching up with a tea ahead of a busy start to the week.

Lovely to see the pictures of the gorgeous witchy mugs (joining in with one I found in tkmaxx a couple of years ago around Halloween) and come here to find a new word! Wonderful, thank you.

I love the sound of both carrot and lentil soup and veggie sausage casserole. I’ve been busy with practical/physical jobs over the weekend and ended up with a chip butty for tea last night- enjoyed it! On the subject of soup though, I tried this recently and thought it was tasty and autumnal

simple-veganista.com/smoky-lentil-quinoa-soup/

speakout I’m going to have the oracle cards too! As you say, hard to resist if even for the artwork.

Thank you for the shooting star reminder BlankTimes, it would be amazing to see them. Interesting what you say about 1986 being a turbulent year too speakout.

‘Inner Lioness’ I like that Violet! I love the feel of your energy when you’ve been giving readings, full of connection and flow.

Sounds like this moon cycle is keeping you busy Salem, always lovely to see you.

I’m glad to hear the dog seemed brighter Tempest, hope he’s continuing to improve.

I always love it when this quote from Hafiz pops up and particularly like this image. A reminder for anyone who needs to hear it.

Wishing everyone a magical Monday 💫

Yashmis that soup sounds delicious, I've saved the recipe to give it a try. I never seem to have much success with soup for some reason. This looks pretty foolproof though!

Speakout thank you for reminding me that the last time Halley's Comet was visible was 1986. It's triggered an awesome me of being 10 years old and going for a walk late at night with my Grandad to see it. I'm really hoping to see shooting stars tonight, the skies pretty clear so we may be lucky 🤞💫🌟

speakout · 22/10/2019 07:23

Good morning wise friends.

I fell asleep last t night to the sound of bagpipe music. A neighbour was playing nearby.

Music is not unusual where I live, my next door neighbour is a piano and singing teacher who leads the local church choir.
So always lots of hymns and religious mucic wafting in- a little distracting when I am performing some magical endeavour!

No sign of comet trail here, it has been cloudy, and will be light soon.

Sending some magical dust with the sunrise.

OP posts:
YashmisCrone · 22/10/2019 07:46

Cloud here too speakout but I have enjoyed being with the night as it gently yields to morning. Thank you for the magical dust to accompany this, a wonderful sparkle to infuse the day ahead ✨💫

SalemSpellman · 22/10/2019 12:56

Hello ladies,

I am feeling much more at peace then I have in a long time. Today is a very autumnal day, I've got the back door open and enjoying the crisp air and sunshine.

I've made a bright orange soup - butternut squash, carrot and sweet potato with a bit of cumin.

I've been offered two very lovely jobs which will allow me to spend time at home. I feel happy after a traumatic couple of months.

InTheTempest · 22/10/2019 13:29

Afternoon all, just catching up with the thread.

Yashmis that soup recipe looks gorgeous, definitely want to try that.

Salem as does yours, I love these autumnal recipes. Very glad to hear that you are feeling good after a difficult time, that's great about the jobs as well.

I've also had a really good morning. I posted on here a couple of weeks ago about learning to drive. Well my lesson last week was cancelled due to an accident which obviously couldn't be helped, however my instructor didn't get in touch to rearrange. Perhaps I could have contacted him but tbh it was feeling like hard work just getting weekly lessons with him, when he knew I wanted to learn semi intensively. I was chatting to my boss last week about it, and she mentioned a friend of hers who is a driving instructor and gave me her details. I contacted her yesterday and spent 20 mins on the phone today chatting- she was absolutely lovely, and can fit me in far more frequently. I just have a really good feeling about having her as my instructor.

I hope everyone else is having a good day 🌟
