@YashmisCrone thanks for the recipe and guide to oils in pregnancy. It sounds divine - I'll have to give it a go when I've got more energy.

@BesselVanDerKolk welcome! I really resonated with your attraction to the elements and wanting to ground yourself in nature.

I hope everyone is having a lovely morning so far. I still feel very off kilter. My energy is low and I've woken feeling really groggy. I'm trying to respect the process of creating life by taking things a bit easier (e.g. I napped yesterday!) but it's hard with the demands of life.

YashmisCrone · 14/08/2019 12:14

I hope everyone is well today, and able to experience some magic amongst whatever calls for your attention.

I’m working the 8 of wands energy my deck gave me in order to get stuff done! A busy witch today.

I enjoyed this take on ‘the rebirth of venus’ Venus is in Leo in my chart and this really resonates so I am gladly and consciously abandoning the ‘masculine’ that I am often required to inhabit and celebrating my divine feminine as I work. Candle lit, oils burning and an image of the goddess beside me on my desk. I’ll focus on sharing this energy and celebrating it in us all at 8pm 🕯

I hope you’re easy to take it easy today purplefig and go with what your body tells you it needs. As you say life creating can be an exhausting process. Sending you some uplifting energy 💫

Wishing everyone a blessed afternoon

@YashmisCrone - The moot is open to anyone who wants to come. Details here www.bristolopencirclemoot.org.uk/about.html

Well that's the chutney finished and bottled. Luckily it's raining so I'm spared any more fruit processing for the moment. Might go and make a cake instead. There's a lemon balm and lavender one I want to try.

@purplefig - pregnancy is really hard work. Also sending a little energy boost :)

Hello @BesselVanDerKolk and welcome

VioletCharlotte · 14/08/2019 16:20

Good afternoon everyone, such lovely energy here today.

Welcome BesselVanDerKolk I smiled when I read your post as so much of it resonates with me. I love this time of year too, and always get excited by Halloween. And like you, as a teenager I was fascinated by witchy shops!

Purplefig sorry to hear you're energy is low. Growing a baby is hard work! As you say, it's not always easy to get the rest you need when you have to go to work, etc. Try and take it easy as much as you can and be kind to yourself ❤️

Elphame the Bristol moot sounds interesting. A bit far for me unfortunately.

SalemSpellman · 14/08/2019 17:40

Good evening all, I'm dropping back into thread and can feel the positive energy radiating from you all. I need to ask for some help. I'm facing my last two days at a horrible job, today has been particularly stressful and just plain horrid. I want to go in prepared for tomorrow with protection in place.

I'm planning on some reflective jewellery, a bit of tinfoil in my bra. I'm starting to build up layers of white light around me this evening in preparation, is there anything else I can do?

speakout · 14/08/2019 18:31

Good evening, this thread moves sofast and so many wonderful contributions today.

Magical energy is running high right now, I feel a shift in the air, thinking about Mabon too.

I will have a berb salt bath tonight, and burn a special candle.

Someone was asking about a "spa shower". It is just a way of having
a scented shower, just sprinkle a few drops of your favourite essential oil in the bath or shower tray- away from the place you stand- it can be slippy underfoot.

The warmth of the water causes the oil to evaporate and fill the air with fragrance. Leaves the bathroom smell divine for a while afterwards too.

It is one of the many things I do on a daily basis to incorporate magic into everyday life and to nurture myself.

Try making your whole aura reflective Salem like you're encased in a shiny mirrored shell, either a lovely polished smooth one or a big glitterball, shiny shield, whatever takes your fancy, That will bounce everything back to whoever sends it. it's draining to keep up but just for a short time it's easy enough.

I like the Silver Surfer for reflective imagery sometimes Halloween Grin

Remember that every minute that ticks by over the next two days is a minute closer to you leaving.

You can do it!

SalemSpellman · 14/08/2019 19:34

Thank you @BlankTimes you have inspired me, I think tomorrow I will be a very sparkly astronaut. I will be having a nice spa shower this evening as recommended by @speakout and my husband has been despatched to the shop to bring forth chocolate!

BlankTimes · 14/08/2019 19:51

You're welcome Salem hope you can enjoy your last 2 days there behind your sparkly spacesuit a lot more than you'd have done without it!

YashmisCrone · 14/08/2019 20:05

Just here to share some glorious wild water energy, from the woods, in the spirit of sunflowers! 🌻

Sending an extra boost to purplefig Salem and anyone else who needs it tonight. Our collective roots are strong, take the energy you need.

BlankTimes I love your use of the silver surfer!! Brilliant.

Thank you for the moor info Elphame

Love to all x

Good morning, and good luck today at work Salems the time will fly by hopefully.
YashmisCrone thenk you for sahring that water energy, those photos are stunning, it's lovely to have a place nearby to recharge,

DD is off this morning for a few days on a teacher training course to Yorkshire, so will be getting up soon to help and make her a coffee, then I have a quiet day working. May take DS out for dinner tonight is he wants to come.

It looks like a fine sunny day, so perfect for some laundry magic.
Off for a sweet orange spa shower, I hope everyone finds some magic today.

Good morning sisters. It's bright and sunny here today after a day of torrential rain yesterday. It's certainly feeling autumnal all of a sudden.

Salem good luck for today, it won't be long until it's all over!

Yashmis thank you for the pictures. I do love sunflowers ❤️

Speakout I hope your enjoy spending time with your DD and DS today. Time spent with older DC always seems so precious doesn't it? I'm always over the moon when mine choose to take time out of their hectic social lives to be with me!

I'm feeling a bit sluggish this morning. I went to a spiritual group last night, which was great, but I never sleep that well afterwards as my head is always buzzing with energy. Time for a coffee I think!

purplefig · 15/08/2019 10:14

Thank you for all the kind words and energy yesterday - it must've worked because I feel like a new woman today!

@speakout your planned day sounds lovely. I love the idea for making time for little nourishing rituals (e.g. Upgrading your shower to a essential oil shower). These seemingly little things all add up.

@YashmisCrone gorgeous woodland water pictures. It looks so very peaceful yet energising.

@SalemSpellman all the best for today. I hope your sparkly astronaut suit works wonders!

@VioletCharlotte it definitely feels autumnal today. I love that crispness. Your spiritual group sounds interesting - what happens when you meet? Thank you for your kind words. I've been culturally conditioned to only feel worthy when being productive (somehow growing a human from scratch doesn't count 🤣) but I'm learning that it's ok to slow down and rest when needed.

FilledSoda · 15/08/2019 11:32

Good morning friends ,

Just checking in with my chums.
SalemSpellman, it's rotten but it has an definite end . I would echo the shielding advice you've had here and also keep the thought and inner smile that YOU ARE OUT . Your happiness is your defence . Keep to yourself , game face , don't give them so much as a crack in the armour . It's been a bad time but it's almost over . Hopefully just one day to go now . Have a celebration tomorrow night , do something you love .
Speakout I can practically smell magic in the air , it must be Mabon approaching . There's a charge.
had a little pocket of time today felt the urge to get back in touch with the magical .
Hello Basselvanderkolk I love to hear peoples first experiences with witchcraft , I use that word intentionally because you are a witch. You believe , you practise. We are all students for our whole lifetime . Whether you blow out your birthday candles and make a wish or cast a circle for every ritual it's all tapping into the same source.
I was drawn to anything esoteric when I was young too , although it was a good deal harder pre internet.
There were things I knew instinctively though . I could always find things , I would focus on a related item and it would appear. I understood thinking things into reality from a young age as well . It's fascinating.
I knew I was tapping in to something and the more frightened or excited I was the more power it had .
I had a wee pocket of time this morning so I gave thanks to my grandmother, she always finds a way to show me a sign when I ask . Sometimes pure compassion , sometimes a kick up the bum. She reminds me that everything comes to pass.
Gratitude is the key to it all don't you think?
It makes us strong.
My little pocket of time is closing.
Always late for everything Shock

BlankTimes · 15/08/2019 12:12

Serendipity, Filled Soda I had an article on gratitude yesterday, detailing its medical benefits.

"Gratitude has a long tradition within world religions, where it is viewed as a virtue that leads to a good life
One simple and proven way of cultivating gratitude is to keep a gratitude journal, in which you document the things you’re thankful for each day. Several other strategies are also included
From a psychological perspective, the practice of gratitude has been shown to increase happiness and life satisfaction, lower stress, increase your perceived level of social support, improve emotional resiliency and reduce depression
Biologically, gratitude reduces pain and lowers inflammation, improves your heart rate variability and lowers your risk for heart disease, and improves sleep and general health by encouraging self-care
Studies have also shown gratitude can have a beneficial impact on other areas of your life as well — boosting productivity, reducing materialism and increasing generosity, for example, all of which can improve your general happiness"
Thank-you for reminding me of that Filled Soda Flowers

More here articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2019/08/15/practice-gratitude.aspx
There's an EFT video for Gratitude at the end too.

speakout · 15/08/2019 12:50

Interesting talk about gratitude.

Also a lovey thing to do at Mabon- a time to think about abundance in our lives and all the blessings that come to us through the year.
A nice ritual that can be performed alone or in a group is to write down blessings on a small piece of paper, fold it up and put it into a glass jar.
The blessings can be as simple or as large as you like- a moment you were understood, bees that visit your garden, being grateful for clean drinking water..
Light some candles and give a spoken invocation or meditation.

When we start to open our hearts to abundance then good things flow our way.

I would be interested to hear when anyone receives their essential oil order. Just to see what others think of the quaility.

I ordered myself another few oils yesterday too.

Blessings to all.

Ha I love the serendipity BlankTimes , I make notes when that happens , otherwise it's like a memory of a dream.
Interesting article, I agree with all of it and I think it actually goes further .
If the power of reiki is essentially love then does the similar energy of gratitude tap into that source too ?
As you say Speakout opening your heart to abundance good things flow. I will be doing your ritual it feels like a natural extension of where I am now , thank you Thanks

RosaWaiting · 15/08/2019 20:46

speakout you are about to cost me a fortune - those essential oils look great, what a fab selection.

Lovely to see everyone, mad few days. Loving the nature pictures. Salem I hope it’s all good at the end.

PP suggested Hampstead Heath as good green space for Londoners. It is my first choice but sadly not very near. I was thinking perhaps I should put two weekly visits set in the diary, otherwise I tend to fit non work time round mum. I should say, this isn’t her being demanding but possibly me being over protective.

I have a question if anyone fancies it...using tarot or cartomancy or anything....it’s to do something, or not to do something. I won’t say anything else because I’m interested to hear what cards or anyone’s instinct says!

speakout · 15/08/2019 22:37

Just as i settle down to sleep I can see the most beautiful full moon just rising through trees on the horizon.
It fills me with calm knowing she will watch over me tonight while I rest.
I hope you all have a restful night safe in her arms.

Filled soda you asked
If the power of reiki is essentially love then does the similar energy of gratitude tap into that source too ?

I think any practice that you do with an open mind and an open heart would come from that place. Once you tune into it, it's such a wonderful place to be, peace you can breathe.

Rosa you asked for divination for your question to do something, or not to do something Any simple yes/no is most often solved by the person who asks the question tossing a coin. It's the quickest and least complicated way.
Why give other people the ability to influence your decisions, go and spin that coin in the air and see what happens Halloween Smile

Maybe have a look at locus of control?

Speakout thank-you, my reading of your post was superbly timed to see the full moon in a wonderfully clear sky.

There's something here for everyone, stunning images, the photos in the DM are a much better resolution on my monitor, really clear.

Blank yes, I did that just after I asked!

I think sometimes the universe tries to advise you, I’ve ignored the advice on a particular issue for a few weeks now but it’s coming to a point where I have to take it on board. I actually don’t often follow signs but sometimes they are very strong.

BesselVanDerKolk · 16/08/2019 00:47

Thank you all for your welcomes ☺️

I have had a few worries that in being so inexperienced and not having anybody to guide me, I might somehow be opening up or inviting energies in that I shouldn't. (I probably shouldn't be reading local ghost stories at the same time as learning about witchcraft!) Has anybody had similar concerns?

I wanted to recognise the full moon tonight but I've been out til now, so just lit a candle and spoke to her to show respect for her energy and sat quietly in the glow. I've left a ring on the windowsill to charge with her energy. I really don't have a clue what I'm doing but I just did something that felt right! What did everybody else do?

I've really enjoyed the pictures of your natural places - such wild beauty!

BlankTimes · 16/08/2019 01:27

Hi Bessel welcome, do read the earlier threads, links are at the top of this thread, there's loads of advice in there and lots of suggestions for reading materials and beginners' how-to's.

It's up to you if you want to follow a particular Path, or if you want to find your own way. Again, read as much as you can and see what resonates with you.

Always use protection before you do anything and if anything makes you feel uncomfortable, don't do it.

Standing outside and letting the light of the (full tonight) moon wash over you is an empowering first step. Catch her light on your palms and place it in your heart, with thanks. Learn about the moonphases and the natural cycles of Mother Nature, see how you can live a more mindful and harmonious lifestyle.

Hi fellow witches.

Does anyone have a spell to get rid of a stalker?

speakout · 16/08/2019 06:32

Good morning everyone, a damp rain start to the day here. N slepet the sleep of he goddess last night, such wild and vivid dreams.
My calm continues, I came home yesterday to find DS making pizza dough, which is now proving in the garage for dinner tonight.
Then the two of us went out for a Nepalese meal- ate far too much, so I am off to a Vinyasas flow class this morning to make amends!
I need to do some suplly shopping and then again work at a nice steady pace. My favourite kind of day!
A warm wlecome to BesselVanDerKolk lovely to hear of your magical sturrings returning
Many of us are "inexperienced", and even those of us who have years of practice in one area know very little about another. We are a mixed bunch, some are exoert in Tarot, some have never used it at alll. Some of us do a lot of spell work, others have never tried it. Some of us work mostly wih food magic, or may be crafted onl in divination. Some work with deity, others not, some may be Wiccan, others not. Many prefer to work alone, some are members of a coven or group. Others may have a little knowledge about many things, some have only just started a magical path, some have been practicing for decades.

It doesn't make any one of us more expert or worthy than anyone else. it does mean that we are a huge collective source of wisdom and guidance. I would be wary about looking for one person to guide you in your path. There are many svangali type figures in real life seeking to mould and direct you along a path for their own ends.
Your path is yours and will be quite unique.
Your ceremony last night sounds just perfect, and exactly the type of thing I would do. Be bold and own your own path, your instinct, your choices and your way are valid. I hope you enjoy wearing your moon charged ring.
