Hi StG - I did wonder if any of you lot lurked... . Speaking for myself you are welcome to add your healing thoughts to our prayers (and post here too!).

Good to see you back JARM! Absolutely fantastic that your prayers are being answered! And HOORAY for your DH! I love hearing stories like that, it gives me hope for my DH

CCM - Psalm 139 if read very slowly is good for anxiety

CaptainCaveman · 16/07/2007 07:59

Thanks Mary, that has helped, and its made me cry too! I do have coping techniques, they come and go too but thats maybe because I don't remember to use them when I'm feeling 'in-between'. Ie. if I'm panicking they are great at getting me back on track but if I'm feeling anxious without panic I don't remember to use them then too.
Am going to try to do that today.
Failing that, I'll see how I go this week and go back to my lovely gp if necessary.
I told my mum last night how much my dsis is stressing me out and feel slightly better for sharing.

Great news JARM - wow that really is evidence of the Lord at work and I take that as an inspiration for all of us. Praise God for you!!

Praying for Misdee and Peter and family. May God hold them all close at such a hard time.

Hello everyone!

Notquitegrownup · 16/07/2007 09:27

Good morning all.

Aww JARM - great to see you back - and what lovely news you bring!

Hello StG! for your Iona service, Mary. It's ages since I have been to one of those lovely lovely services. (Am I allowed to covet my neighbour's church service??!)

Special prayers for all those in need, especially Misdee and Peter, and for you and your dsis CCM. Praying too for Pudmog, MTGAA, and NASW, that you might know His love and His arms around you this week.

Prayers that NSFN and her family feel rested and refreshed by their holiday. Are they still away?!

God bless all.

PandaG · 16/07/2007 09:54

Hi Panda! I'm sure someone has an address for NSFN or we could CAT her. She was due to be organising birthday celebrations for one of her eldest dds yesterday, so might just be shellshocked from that.

JARM · 16/07/2007 13:05

Thanks for the welcome back, im so ashamed i let myself slide, but it feels good right now.

The lord has really excelled himself this time, and i can only be thankful. The nightmare past 18 months is about to come to a close and then starts a whole new chapter - please lord help me cope! 3 babies under 3.4yrs is going to need the patience of a saint!

worzella · 16/07/2007 13:13

But it will be fun though - and at least you won't have to do the school run!!

Afternoon everyone, I'm feeling a little sad today - don't know why really. Please pray that I would cheer up... perhaps it's because it's the last week before the school holidays start and I'm fed up of the weather!

Praying for Misdee and Peter too - we do live in a broken world...

MaryBS · 16/07/2007 15:28

Feeling outnumbered StG?

CCM - sorry I made you cry. I know what helps me when I feel down, and I've been feeling a bit down myself lately! And hugs to you Worzella too! Perhaps we're still tired from Saturday???

JARM - don't worry about how long its been, we're just glad to see you - don't leave it so long next time!

Just checked my emails, its been a month since NSFN said she was going on holiday. I have a mobile for her though, so will text her...

weirdbird · 16/07/2007 16:14

Please continue to pray, we are still the plague house, Megan and Hannah both came down with it Sat night and have had raging temps, all a bit scary as they where really high, I am starting to feel better but am now just waiting for DH to come down with it.

Really gutted to have missed meeting up with you all, but you wouldn't have wanted me to share this with you! When are we going to have another?

Also I really need a miracle, I don't know why but I am having a really hard time trying to get a cupboard built in DD1's room, this has been going on for almost 3 years now

I just keep being messed about, really need a reliable carpenter to land in my lap as its really starting to get me down!

Roseylea · 16/07/2007 16:36

Hello all!

Just popping in to say hi and that I am praying for all in need, esp. Misdee. Having just started visiting on the stroke unit at our local hospital I can imagine a bit of what it might be like.

A prayer request of my own please....I am making an appointment to see the SENCO / INCO at dd's school prob. tomorrow, and I am going to ask for a written care plan / IEP for dd's excema. Ds's wonderful childminder has given me a load of "Every child matters" literature to read and to base my argument on, so please do pray that I will say the right things and that my lovely dd will finally get the care she needs!

We had a remarkable service at church last night. You'll never guess how long it went on...

DutchOma · 16/07/2007 16:46

Worzella, don't be sad. Thank you for letting me hold dd on Saturday, she is such a sweetie.
Rosey, praying that you get the desired result, your dear child is worth all the effort you can put in.
Weirdbird, hoping you all soon feel better and that dh doesn't get the dreaded lurgy.
Mary, hope you get through to NSFN. Have you got a mobile number for MumtoGusnAlbie by any chance, it's a month since she posted

MaryBS · 16/07/2007 17:22

DO - no, I've nothing for MTGAA. I've just had a text back from NSFN - she is fine, its just she's changed internet supplier and they've messed up, so no internet connection!

RL - prayers for tomorrow. So go on then, how long was your service??? 2 hours?

WB - hoping and praying the lurgy leaves you all soon, and that you get your carpentry sorted out!

Roseylea · 16/07/2007 17:32

Ummm....kind of double that, Mary! It was amazing - at the end of the service after he'd given the blessing, the vicar said "Wow - I could go on singing to the Lord all night!" So we did! We have a remarkably talented pianist, and she played and we sang until 11 pm! It was so fantastic, and I felt God's presence so strongly. Kind of surreal though, still being at church at 11pm - it felt a bit like a "spiritual lock-in"!

MaryBS · 16/07/2007 17:37

11pm - kicking out time!

4 hours is pretty impressive! Admittedly I spend about 3 1/2 hours in total at church yesterday. You would have loved yesterday evening's service.

Roseylea · 16/07/2007 17:39

I'm sure I would, Mary. I pop along to a High-ish CofE church which does fab Iona services and wonderful Taize servoces too. It's very creative! I'd love to go to Iona [sigh!]

PandaG · 16/07/2007 17:39

Praying for your health, Weirdbird, and for a good carpenter soon.

JARM - no need to be embarrassed, just glad to see you.

Mars - praying for you.

Worz... you know where I am honey, will pray.

My friend's DD has a heart scan tomorrow, to assess the affects of the illness on her. please pray that no ill effects are seen.

PandaG · 16/07/2007 17:42

Praying for your meeting Rosey, and for your lovely DD's skin.
4 hour service - wow! Did your DH think you had got lost?

MaryBS · 16/07/2007 18:01

Well, this was our first ever Iona service - so perhaps not such a good idea for an expert such as you!

I was having a look at Ampleforth this am for my mother's friend, and they have some interesting looking retreats, quite reasonable too £45 a day inc. full board (or free if you can't afford it). Do you reckon we could persuade our respective DHs to let us go off together?

Panda - praying for your friend...

CaptainDippy · 16/07/2007 19:14

Ooooooh, sounds exciting Mary .... would definitely be up for it!

{{{{{hugs}}}} Worz - feeling any better this evening??

JARM - I currently am experiencing 3 under 3.4 and it is ok .... so far! Email me anytime .... captain_dippy "at" yahoo "dot" co "dot" uk Really is great to "see" you back!

Awwww, weirdbird - poop to all this crappy illness in your household - praying you would be released soon. {{{{hugs}}}} Praying that a reliable carpenter would turn up asap too, wish I had a solution....

Praying for your meeting at school re: DD's skin care Rosey - Wow to your 4 hour praise sess, great stuff! Do let us know how you get on ......

Praying for the heart scan for your friend's DD tomorrow Panda - do update us.

Please pray girl's settle tonight, pretty wired and DH & I have stacks to do ..... sigh ....

Will do new thread & summary a bit later on .....
