Good morning all,

It’s bright and blustery here today, I’m going to try and get some washing out while it’s dry. I agree with speakout on the magic of drying things outside!

I hope everyone is doing as well as can be with all that’s been going on, holding on through mercury retrograde. I’ve been having delayed emails, lost phones, misunderstandings.. quite a stereotypical retrograde! But then, I have have my sun and mercury in Gemini I don’t know if having mercury as a ‘ruler’ in this way has an impact on how retrogrades are experienced?

I planted some more seeds yesterday- herbs, salad, veg and sunflowers. I’m looking forward to seeing how they go. I think there’s something very satisfying about getting your hands covered in earth!

Sok1ere do you mean this Sunday or next Sunday isn’t good for the candle connection for you?

speakout next Sunday sounds good to me, depending on what’s good for everyone.

Wishing everyone a magical day 💫

speakout · 09/03/2019 09:45

Good morning- bright and blustery here today too- although quite a bit of rain scattered in the wind.

YashmisCrone that's so interesting, I have the Mercury in my Natal sign too ( also in 4th house- rules the home).

Do you know how far apart the sun and Mercury are? I have an aspect - Sun?Mercury conjunction called "camazi", very close in the sky.
Lots of differing astrological views about this, but I have come to work out what it means for me.

I think maybe next Sunday- 17th may be better for our candle connection, moe of us can join, and some posters may only check this thread every once in a while, so a longer notice will mean more people have a chance to join in.
If that's OK for everyone?

Sounds like a good plan for the candle connection speakout, more chance of more of us coming together.

I’m fascinated by astrology and researched it extensively years ago but it’s so complex it doesn’t stick with me so I end up looking it up all over again!

This is my chart- I have mercury in my sun sign, in Gemini in my 11th house, sexitile Jupiter, opposite Neptune, it trines my moon and is conjunct with my sun. Whatever all that means! (Prone to rambling for sure! Grin ) I might spend some time re-looking at it all. I do find it fascinating.

If anyone’s interested in their birth chart and like me isn’t an expert, I got this free one here

www.micheleknight.com/free-psychic-reading/natal-chart/

It’ll give you an outline of what the position of planets in your birth chart mean for your character. A good starting point for further research I think

@Yashmis Most Sundays are difficult for me.

PS Thanks for posting those links. Will read through those later

VioletCharlotte · 09/03/2019 11:00

Good morning. I've come here for a bit of solace after a difficult night. My Grandma was taken into hospital yesterday evening with chest pains, so my Dad and I were in a&e with her until 3am when they decided to admit her. Happily, this morning we've been told she's much better and they're sending her home, which is a huge relief. Feeling rather worn out though!

Yashmis thank you for posting that birth chart. Like you, I'm really interested in astrology, but don't know a huge amount about it.

Speakout next Sunday is good for me for our candle connection.

YashmisCrone · 09/03/2019 11:51

Oh Violet you must be exhausted. These events really take it out of you don’t they. Very pleased to hear your grandma is doing better this morning, sending love and hoping you can take it easier today, nurture yourself a bit 💖

Sok1ere that’s a shame, it would be lovely to have you join us, although I do know I’ve still felt the benefits when tuning in mentally to the candle connections. I hope you can be with us in this way x

I saw this yesterday, it made me think of the root strengthening work some of us did over the Yule period.

I do feel more resilient for it. Another reminder of the importance of attending to our own needs wherever we can, ‘banking’ that energy for tougher times as our experience ebbs and flows.

A friend of mine always says ‘A wise woman waters her own garden first’
Makes a lot of sense to me. When life gets tough and time sparse, a well cared for garden will look after itself for longer.

I thought this was an interesting read. It’s a subject we seem to come back to a lot here so I thought some of you might find it interesting too.

As I’ve said before, for me it’s also important to be honest with myself about why I put myself in the role of ‘helper’ if I find myself getting burnt out.

Popping in, just to this thread, because there is something on my mind.

Does anybody or Has anybody known or experienced the feeling that their own gut instinct, was in direct contradiction of everyone else's instinct but to point this out meant to point out facts that other people either wouldn't believe or deep down know but would still refuse to acknowledge ?

I'm super vague here I know it's really unhelpful it's really on my mind, I could do a vague thread under an NC but I wouldn't necessarily feel comfortable even then outlining the specifics, particularly not after recent journalistic tactics on a thread in relationships, which is the issues ideal home.

If someone had the spare time and mental energy to discuss this via PM it would be appreciated but you must be guided by what you have spare

Also though I do read for myself if someone could pull me a Tarot Card that would be good xx

VioletCharlotte · 09/03/2019 22:08

Barton yes I've felt like this. I think all you can do is tell the other people of your concerns, but ultimately it's up to them whether they decide to take notice. It's difficult to advise without knowing more (and I totally get why you don't want to share) but I'm guessing this the other people involved are people close to you? If it were me, I think I would say my piece and explain my feelings, then step back. And be there to help pick up the pieces when it all goes wrong!
But do make sure you protect yourself.

BartonHollow · 09/03/2019 22:36

Yes it's a family matter Violet

I can't voice my concerns because they would cause unnecessary worry if unfounded

BartonHollow · 09/03/2019 23:35

YashmisCrone

Thank you for your PM. Have replied. The card that was pulled was eerie in accuracy.

MrFMercury · 10/03/2019 00:34

I'd like to be part of a candle connection next Sunday. Do we all agree to sit for the same amount of time?
I've only just caught up. I 'd day I Have had one of those weeks but to be honest it's actually just one of those lives. I've had the self care conversation several times recently, antidepressants doubled and the only thing I find soothing currently is reading every witchy book I come across!

Sending love to everyone that needs it x

queenrollo · 10/03/2019 07:57

MrFMercury
I light a candle above my main fireplace as it's safe for me to leave it burning there. I spend a little time with it to connect to the others (this is sometimes only a minute) and then just leave it to burn. I have two kids and all the demands that come with that, so in reality I can't committ to spending dedicated time on a ritual during the day.

A very wet day here. Our bedrooms are in the eaves so I was woken by the sound of a heavy downpour on the slates. For me it is such a soothing sound.

YashmisCrone · 10/03/2019 08:51

Good morning,

It’s a wild and windy one here too. I like the sense of clearing and movement that brings. I always feel drawn to tap into the power of the elements and high winds/storms particularly appeal to me. Put me by the sea with that and I’m in my element! Fire and earth I need to make more of a conscious effort to connect with. I love the sound of your eves bedroom queenrollo, sounds perfect to me.

Mecury glad to hear you’re finding the books soothing. When I’m struggling, if I find something that soothes me a bit I try and give it as much of my time and attention as I possibly can- really focus on the feeling of being soothed with the aim of generating more of that feeling. Sending love x

Violet I hope you’re better rested today and that your Grandma is settled and comfortable

Barton just going to get myself another tea then I’ll focus on your message and respond

MrFMercury · 10/03/2019 09:59

Thank you both. If DH is around I have a bit of time to myself otherwise I'd struggle too. Leaving a lot candle somewhere safe makes sense Smile

VioletCharlotte · 10/03/2019 10:53

MrFMercury sorry you've had a bad week, mine's been a bit like that too. Nothing horrendous, just a never ending cycle of frustrating stuff to deal with at the moment. I woke up this morning thinking "I just want to spend the day walking in the forest, doing yoga and meditating myself off to another place!" That's not all going to happen today unfortunately, but I'm determined to find time for some self care before the working week starts again.

Yashmis thank you for asking about my Grandma, she's doing well and is very pleased to be home. I'll visit her later. She's an amazingly strong women.

Loyaultemelie · 10/03/2019 13:26

Violetcharlotte sorry to hear that, glad she's doing a bit better!

Next Sunday would be good for me for the candle connection.

Yashmis thanks for sharing the links for the chart I'm going to have a look at that this afternoon!

It's been a whirlwind of visitors the last couple of days and one turned out to be very interested in herbs and very knowledgeable so I enjoyed a great conversation there much to his DW and my DH's boredom! Now I'm hoping for a quiet day or two to recharge because there's a big meeting on Tuesday night which DH and I have to go to and even leaving the house is a (painful) pantomime at the minute.

Loyaultemelie · 10/03/2019 13:28

Posted too soon but MrFMercury sorry to hear you are struggling sending caring and positive thoughts your way

SockPortal · 10/03/2019 16:36

I'm looking forward to a candle connection next week, I've been thinking about this and was wondering if it should be scheduled in regularly, maybe every 3rd Sunday of the month? Then other extra ones as special occasions?

LittleOwl · 10/03/2019 18:21

Knock knock

Merry Meet - could I please join your nurturing circle?

I am a Christian, still very much in tune with worship. And I love the White Goddess, nature ways, my garden and Angels. The older I get, the more I recognise both are part of me, both work together (Deep down), and it is okay.

queenrollo · 10/03/2019 18:28

Welcome LittleOwl

SockPortal I think it's a good suggestion for a regularly scheduled candle connection. Even if only a few were able to join in some months I think the continuity would be lovely.

VioletCharlotte · 10/03/2019 18:50

Welcome Littleowl ❤️

Sockportal I think a regular candle connection is a great suggestion ✨

I hope everyone has had a restful Sunday, especially those who have been struggling recently. My mood has lifted after spending the afternoon with my lovely DS (19). Even though he lives with me, I've not had much quality time with him recently as he works odd hours.

YashmisCrone · 10/03/2019 20:05

Good evening,

Just popping in for a warm by the aga with some night time tea Brew

Violet pleased to hear your grandma is doing well- what a wonderful woman to have in your life Smile I smiled as I read about your spirits being lifted by your time with your DS. Wonderful Smile

Loyaul hope you had chance to look at /enjoyed the astrology stuff. I chuckled at the image of your enthralling herb talk, respective DP’s fading with boredom in the background! Wishing you a restful couple of days ahead of Tuesday eve Flowers

I’m looking forward to the candle connection too sockportal I do love the energy we generate, so nourishing. I’m thinking if we do decide to make them a regular fixture here perhaps we could alternate between Saturdays and Sundays or another day that’s better for others to join. Are Saturdays better for you @Sok1ere?

Welcome LittleOwl, help yourself from the magic teapot SmileBrew

I walked in the woods earlier- lucky to catch some sunshine between the rain. I saw an offering/the workings of a spell- an arrangement of 7 apples and several beaded bracelets- amethyst and lapis I think. Thankfully no tree ribbons!

Somewhere along the way I’ve lost my purse (had it in the supermarket after the woods.) I’ve retraced my steps with no luck. I don’t know if I’m just being mindless and can’t remember where I’ve put (although it’s usually in my bag) or if I’ve dropped it somewhere.. finding spell ideas gratefully received! 💫

MrFMercury · 10/03/2019 21:35

Thank you everyone, it means a lot. I love the idea of a regular candle connection too ☺
I'm thinking it's time really embrace spring as a time of new beginnings so I'm going to try my best to. There's a very good chance I'm perimenopausal after a hysterectomy which I'm sure is impacting my mood on top of multiple other issues but I'm reading as much as I can about nurturing myself, self care and actually living my mantra of nourish not punish.
It's so helpful reading experiences and thoughts here as always x

Mistymount · 10/03/2019 23:05

Welcome LittleOwl and a blessed morning to all. We had a beautiful sunrise here – it has been really misty most mornings of late. Although I love these cool, misty mornings, it really lifted my spirits to see a clear morning and the distant misty hills when I got up today.

Just popping in to grab a cup of tea from the magic pot and catch my breath. We have a rental inspection tomorrow so I’m deep cleaning the whole house. The kitchen is now gleaming – next stop, bathrooms/loos. I always feel a real sense of comfort and satisfaction after a big clean. I’m itching for another de-clutter too.

I think a regular candle connection is a lovely idea, especially if it falls alternate weekend days. Of course, I may only be able to join in at the tail end (it will be very early morning for me here) but it is lovely to share in the energies all the same.

Yashmis I hope you find your purse. Back in the UK, the house would “borrow” things frequently, so I used to ask for them to be returned. Things came back after a while, usually in a very obvious place I had searched before. The house kept the old clay pipe we found when we did some landscaping work in the garden though – I assume it went back to its original owner.

Violet glad your Grandma is doing better.

MrFMercury hope you have a better week ahead of you.

Barton thinking of you and sending positive energies to you. I’m always around when most people are asleep. If you ever feel the need to talk, just message me.

Anyway, tea break over

Sleep well, all.
