Welcome Littleowl
*
Mistymount* I love hearing your descriptions of where you live it sounds amazing

Yashmis I hope you find your purse

I think the idea of a regular candle connection sounds good, people will know when and can dip in when they are able.

Today is a day of peace and self care to try and rest up and ease the pain slightly. I'm going to do lots of reading (Yashmis you have me hooked on the astrology!) and finish up with a haircut and colour which luckily enough the hairdresser comes to my home but is weeks overdue.

TooManyPaws · 11/03/2019 09:17

Elphame I liked your flower essence so I picked the last of the snowdrops and hung them to dry in the utility room which has a conservatory roof. We're late here in a frost pocket in Fife - hawthorn is late May.

Thank you for the warm welcome.

Yashmis good luck with having your purse returned. Have you first asked for it to be found and then thanked for it being given to you? Works from time to time.

I love the idea of regular candle connections- might be a bit hit and miss for me, but I can always connect in spirit.

All these storms - all this cleansing. May the elements be gentle in their cleansing. Do you call upon the Sylphes and thank them for their work and ask to be gentle with the flowers and trees in your area?

Brew to cleanse, heal and restore to all who wish.

YashmisCrone · 11/03/2019 22:29

Hope everyone’s had a good start to the week and can see glimpses of the promise and regeneration that spring will bring us.

Thank you all for asking- I have found my purse Grin

I used speakout’s technique of leaving a chocolate offering out for house spirits and found it later on in the place I’d looked several times already! Funnily enough my mum had rang me (she never rings as she’s severely disabled and can’t operate the phone without help- she just waits for me to visit) this morning and told me where it was. I said thank you but it wasn’t because I’d looked there several times already. I found it there this evening. I then gave the money in it to a homeless man so he could get a bed in a hostel for the night. We had a long chat and I hope I provided a little bit of comfort -he had his sleeping bag stolen, was scared and felt like giving up. He said he felt better for talking. Sometimes I’m so appalled at the state of our society.. but that’s probably another thread..

Misty I love that you keep the kitchen cosy for us while we sleep and love to hear of the beautiful place you live. I hope the inspection went well. Your energy feels zingy from here!

Pleased to hear about your self care day Loyaul glad you’re enjoying the astrology wormhole! There’s so much to explore isn’t there. I’m going back there myself when I have time.

Lovely snowdrops Paws Smile

I find storms to be a very cleansing energy too LittleOwl My DS loves them too. I have a very vivid memory of standing on the doorstep, heavily pregnant with him soaking up the glorious energy of a big storm. I felt so content and he seemed to be doing cartwheels inside me Smile I don’t always have a good memory for events but I have these very vivid snapshots of moments that are connected to a particular feeling. It’s like I can visit them and feel it all again.

Mecury I love your ‘nourish not punish’ mantra! And your positive attitude to embracing springtime. I think you have a lot of strength x

I thought this might be interesting to those on Facebook who are just starting to think about tuning into their intuition more:

Wishing everyone a restful evening and replenishing sleep 💫

Loyaultemelie · 12/03/2019 09:02

Yashmis I have a very similar storm memory too! We got married in Gretna when I was over months with Dd1 and travelled to Edinburgh for a couple of nights after and there was a storm one evening and I stood on the balcony of the hotel and just enjoyed the energy with Dd1 doing the most spectacular movements!

I love your snowdrops Toomanypaws

No rest for me today before the meeting I have a customer who really needed help with some paperwork and our agronomist both coming, luckily the agronomist has also become a good friend so can be sent to make us all tea but he is always here for hours. However candles and oil burner are being lit to keep me going

Loyaultemelie · 12/03/2019 09:02

Elphame · 12/03/2019 10:54

My snowdrops dried to shrivelling point Toomanypaws! I'd not have known what they were. All the bulb flowers have done that.

Bit sad this morning - I opened my FB page and the first post n my feed was the death of Raven Grimassi. I know he was a controversial figure for some but some of his work was excellent and I am sad that he has now passed on. I have a mandrake man he made for me years ago so I'll use it to wish him a good journey onwards.

Travel well Raven

VioletCharlotte · 12/03/2019 11:55

Morning everyone. It's a wet and windy day here. Interesting that some of you like storms and find them cleansing. I love a storm in the summer, there's nothing better to clear the air when it's hot and muggy. But I really don't like the wind and rain we've been having the last few days, the wind unsettled me and the relentless rain makes me miserable. I think it's because I want to be getting outside now it's spring, but the weather's keeping me indoors.

How are you all finding the Mercury metro grade? So far my hoover and fridge have stopped working! And plans keep getting cancelled or changes. I'm trying to just accept it for what it is and sit it out!

Yashmis glad you found your purse, so frustrating when things like that go missing.

Loyaul hope you're doing ok. Sending healing your way ✨

Misty I love that picture, your posts always make me smile, I like thinking about you on the other side of the world, but still connected with us 💕

SockPortal · 12/03/2019 12:11

How long does the Mercury retro grade last? I've so far fallen over three times, and quit my job. I strangely don't feel worried about it all either!

VioletCharlotte · 12/03/2019 12:43

Sockportal
It goes direct on March 28. Then there's a shadow phase from 29 March to 16 April. During this phase, errors in communication that occurred during the retrograde can often be revealed.

I've been doing a bit of reading about mercury retrograde. One article I found interesting said that it reveals our shadow in our communication and interaction with others, and to look at each cycle as a wake up call, a time for introspection and becoming aware of your own. patterns of behaviour.

BartonHollow · 12/03/2019 12:49

Seriously befuddled by Mercury Retrograde also Sock

Have this chaotic sense

SockPortal · 12/03/2019 12:49

@VioletCharlotte wow! That has literally blown my mind, and accounts 100% for the things that have happened to me, especially the events that led to me quitting my job. Can you recommend any sources so I can do some reading?

Also how interesting the shadow phase comes as Brexit happens. I'm not political in any way, but I'm now wondering what the shadow phase will reveal

VioletCharlotte · 12/03/2019 17:11

Sockportal it's fascinating isn't it? The more I read, the more it helps make sense of things and be more mindful. I'll have a look for the articles I was reading later and post the links.

GrumpyOldMare · 12/03/2019 21:45

It's a little blustery here in Somerset with more string winds forecast overnight and tomorrow,so comfy and cosy here with a chai latte, candles lit and no tv or music on.So peaceful except for the sound of the wind but that makes it seem all the cosier.

YashmisCrone · 13/03/2019 09:43

Just flying by to wave hello 👋

This wind’s a bit much for broomstick flying today!

Really interesting about mercury retrograde Violet .I saw this yesterday and it just about sums up how I’m feeling about this one!

Hope everyone has some magic in their day 💫

TimeIhadaNameChange · 13/03/2019 10:48

Could I join the Candle Connection despite not being a signed-up member as it were?

DP and I are going to have a shot at conceiving at the start of next week (sperm donor, very much a one-off attempt) and I need all the help I can get. I was thinking of asking you for a fertility charm or something but it seemed rude, seeing as how I'm very much on the edges. I do have a belief in a sort of unifying 'energy' though that is based on absolutely nothing, and a candle connection feels to me as though it would fit this.

HillsBesideTheSea · 13/03/2019 11:48

yashmis yep that picture sums it up perfectly right now. I also wish these storms would blow over too. They are causing a chill that has got right into my bones and my pain levels have soared to uncontrollable and life impacting. Bed, hotwater bottle is about all I can manage today so it is a good job I have a day off work today. Scheduling that works a bit in my favour.

EnchantersNightshade · 13/03/2019 17:36

Me too Hills Grin
Continual wild weather can be so draining when you're not feeling 100% anyway. Hope you feel a bit better tomorrow.

Booking in for the Candle Connection on Sunday 🕯️ Loving the energy here as always, thank you all.

Triple Mint from the Magic Teapot please Brew

Elphame · 13/03/2019 18:27

@TimeIhadaNameChange yes of course you can join in. Wishing you tremendous luck next week.

Now everyone I need you to get your wands out and do some powerful magic.... I need to get 11 overnight guests into my house over the Equinox! Rather wondering how at the moment.

VioletCharlotte · 13/03/2019 18:34

Just flying in with a quick question, will catch up on all the posts later... a friend of mine works near a quarry in Cornwall. During a walk at lunchtime today, she found these crystals. Is anyone able to have a go at identifying them? We'd love to know what they are.

Any Witches Here? Part 7.
BartonHollow · 13/03/2019 18:45

How long when doing a work does it take each of you on average to divine the exact correspondences you need for it depending on the situation?

I have a working to do and the hardest bit is working out which ingredients are perfect

Purpose is largely protective but other elements individualised.

BartonHollow · 13/03/2019 18:49

Oh for a proper Random shop round here!

One of those shops that sells all kinds of unconnected things that can easily be repurposed or used for symbolism

BlankTimes · 13/03/2019 19:28

Time welcome, yes of course, do join in. we don't do charms and things on request, we encourage everyone to follow their own path, but do read our previous threads and see if anything recommended there appeals to you.

Violet I'd say it's quartz. Cornwall's full of it, in all sorts of forms. Lovely big white bits like the one Elphame posted recently, down to single clear crystals and everything in-between.

Barton mostly just a few minutes, everything I need can be in the kitchen or the garden or the sewing basket, although the items I do have in those aren't necessarily ordinarily found in other peoples' Halloween Wink

Do remember that when we Crones started out, there weren't any specialist shops, no internet, few books, you had to use what you had to hand, what you'd gathered and crafted yourself, mostly I still do.

Perhaps focusing on what you do have and can use rather than focusing on what appears to be unattainable because it has to be perfect will help?

BartonHollow · 13/03/2019 19:38

I don't have a garden, which means I usually have to buy in. I was looking for Juniper actually, seems hard to source unless you get essential oil

BlankTimes · 13/03/2019 20:31

Elphame it's always a jolt to see someone whose works we grew up with has gone to the other realms. I remember hearing of the Strega for the first time from him.

It's made me quite nostalgic today so I've been down quite a wormhole.
