A bright good morning to everyone.

Dawn is just starting to break here, the sky is starting to lighten, everything covered in a frosty sprinkle here.
Off to early yoga, then a shop for the weekend, back home to work.
I am dealing with amulets and jewellery this morning, I love anything that involves pliers!

Ds has the day off after a good week at work, and DD is on her knees after a tough week at the hospital ( student nurse) so will be back home tonight with a weeks worth of laundry and uniform needing some tlc.
Which I am happy to give.
But means me springing into action soon so I can get everything organised for the weekend.

Is anyone interested in another candle connection?

Newcomers particularly welcome, we could raise some positive energy for everyone ?

A candle connection sounds interesting and something I would like to be involved in. I'll have to check I have a plain candle in the house as the scented ones are triggering my nausea at the moment.

I went back to the railway woods yesterday and heard the chimes louder than before. So I went off the track to explore. The sound was coming from a box attached to an old signal. When I opened the box, it stopped. Inside there were instruction from BT about using the handset so I presume it was a phone line but the handset was long gone. When I closed the box it started to chime again. I wonder what has made it start to ring. Quite mysterious.

I loved reading about the places everyone goes to feel connected. Thank you for sharing.

Morning. I do wish I was an early riser like you Speakout. I always have great intentions of getting up and doing yoga or going for a walk, but it never happens!

1potato* I'm glad you found the source of the chimes, but reading that made the hairs in my neck stand up! Something about disused railways lines makes me feel incredibly unsettled.

I would like another candle connection (I missed the last one). Sorry to hear about those of us who are not having an easy time right now - so a candle connection seems right on the nail..

Last night I dreamt about a dear friend, also a witch, who died some years ago. I woke feeling a mixture of sorrow and comfort, as you do. I really miss her.. she was an absolute one-off and one of the most magical people I’ve ever known.

We used to work a lot of green and eco magic together, so I guess the springtime has brought her out, with the itchy feet and yearning to be out in the greenwood that I get at this time of year..

This weekend, I shall be revisiting some local magical places. There's a wonderful spring, hidden within trees, which doesn't always permit a visit... when the time isn't right, I either can't find the right road, or I get a very firm “no”.
Another place is a natural silver birch circle in the middle of (another) wood, which I haven't been to for some years, and will probably need some tending.

Candle connection.

When woould be a good time and day for everyone?

Just a quick recap for the newcomers about a candle connection.

This is something we have done a couple of times on this thread as a way of communicating as a group.
We wach light a candle at a specified time in our homes- or wherever we may be, and through that flame we raise energy, we unite in the flame.
We can create some postitive energy for ourselves, for each other, for our group, for this thread!
I know I have found it healing and calming, many have posted beatiful pictires of their flame.
Just a simple candle will do,- or a virtual one if you are in a place that you can't have flame.

Joining these in the past has cast a special glow and peace to my home.

Barton I have just returned after some time out from MN, it's a good thing to do when you feel like this. I post banned myself a few months ago on all threads except this one. I also change my username every few months but I feel like a newbie on this thread everytime I do that.

speakout I would love to join in with the candle connection, evenings suit me best but I am flexible.

1potato I have a lamp post outside of my house that makes the most beautiful sounds when the wind hits the little "door" at a certain angle. Could the bt box be doing a similar thing?

I have come out of a very gloomy, negative energy period recently and I am feeling calm and peaceful but also positive and very powerful at the same time and I am sending that energy to you all!

I asked DP who used to work on and design railway communications.

He has the following 3 theories:

Box itself vibrating in the wind and acting as chime (most probable)

Despite the missing handset it could be an alert to staff on track that the phone is ringing even if handset missing. This theory depends on it being a live railway track and the rest of the communication equipment being there. If it is a disused railway track then this theory doesn't apply

Some esoteric reason! I have a friend who had a seriously weird experience with a phone box. it's not my story to tell here though

Ohhhh interesting! I've just been back today and the noise has stopped.

@Lapetus It could well be wind related but I don't remember wind, just rain. It wasn't a whistling sound either but a two tone chime sound. But that could make sense as it stopped when I opened the door and started when I closed it.

Well the signal light the box is attached to is still red so there must be electricity running through it in places. Thankfully not the tracks. The two tones of the sound suggest it could be an alert or ringing of some sort, although it did sound very much like chimes rather than an electric noise. If it is someone calling, I wonder who would be ringing the phone for two days? Decades too late too, as the track hasn't been in use for a very long time.

If it is an esoteric reason, the meaning of it has passed me by. Perhaps I unknowingly participated in something.

My weekend plans aren’t certain yet- it depends when’s best for family visiting im due to do but I will try my best to be around/join mentally if I’m out and about 🕯

Just wanted to re-share these videos in honour of International Women’s Day, thinking of the wisdom and strength I have gained from the wonderful women I’ve connected with here and of those that have gone before us.

The female is a powerful force. The Goddess Remembered video is a wonderful reminder of this I think.

So this evening I’m lighting a candle to honour the sacred feminine energy amongst us and that stretches back through history.

I'm going to be travelling on Sunday afternoon so will have to miss the candle connection I will be with you in spirit though
