Elphame I have lots of large and healthy aloe plants. My youngest child calls it the 'medicine plant' and asks for it if he gets nettle stings or bug bites.

The stupidest burn was lifting a lid off a casserole dish and the steam escaped onto the inside of my wrist. I got distracted and so it's my own fault.

My son came home from school yesterday with a wand he had made in forest school. They had a choice of wood. He chose an amazing piece of willow. My heart absolutely sang at this - my own wand is willow (he doesn't know this) because I once had a dream that has tied me very closely to this tree.

1potato · 06/03/2019 17:04

It makes a lot of sense that she is hearing things that are not audible to me. The chimes sound was quite loud and seemed to be coming from a group of trees or a bit of the old railway machinery just a metre or so away. I've never heard it before but it was a beautiful sound and just like ones you find in a garden. I wonder if I've just missed it on other occasions.

The railway itself is interesting. It's an old mining railway that wasnt taken up and trees and plants are growing around and through it. Someone forgot to turn off the power though as the red stop lights are still on all these years later.

In the early days of this pregnancy when there was some doubt if it was viable and there was a long waiting game, I used to go there to try to listen and find answers. It was always difficult to distinguish between my own doubts and hopes but the strongest voice told me to be patient. I'm glad I heard it.

1potato · 06/03/2019 17:09

@queenrollo willow is my favourite. I've lived in a lot of places and I've always had one in my back garden or close by. I have a young one just establishing in my garden now. They seem to have such an improbable beauty.

longnight · 06/03/2019 18:09

Just caught up Blush it's been a hectic couple of days which accumulated in me trying to get shopping with no bank card or cash (it had been hidden as a punishment from 1 DC for giving them a punishment). My cat jumping in my compost bag and onto a shelf where my flower pots were and smashing the lot so now I need to buy more before I can plant my seeds. Thought I would sort through my crystal hoard today to find the ones I will need for my course once my table gets here and my favourite piece of Obsidian went flying off the table and broke. It's now upstairs on my altar waiting to be buried Sad I hope everyone is starting to feel better.

Loyaultemelie · 06/03/2019 18:48

Hills that's a gorgeous collection! A big glass vase or jar would look great. Sorry it's been rediscovered in those circumstances though

QueenRollo I hope the burns are not too severe!

1potato that sounds like a truly magical place, I used to live near a place like that but moved away when I moved in with now DH

Longnight what a time of it.

I'm now burning calming oils as we are getting a visit from the head of quality at our main customer tomorrow (only heard this afternoon)because I wasn't able to complete the produce audit due to the fall. Now I'm tying myself in knots trying to do work while in pain and unable to access the printer or yard

VioletCharlotte · 06/03/2019 19:42

Another busy day, I feel as if I'm constantly running at the moment and I've got too many plates spinning. The house, which is normally calm and my sanctuary, is in a state of chaos where I've been decorating. I can't wait to get back to normal!

Elphame those goddess statues are beautiful, really lovely.

Queenrollo love that your son made a wand. Forest school sounds fab, I wish they had been a thing when my DC were younger. So good for children to get out into nature.

1potato my dog picks up on things as well. It's quite disconcerting sometimes when he suddenly barks for no apparent reason! The chimes sound lovely. I like wind chimes and would love to have some in my garden, but I've resisted as so many people find them annoying!

HillsBesideTheSea · 06/03/2019 23:30

Sorting the boy's room and cleaning it put part of my mind at ease, but will have to wait and see what the long term consequences are.

I was supposed to go for some water therapy but didn't make it. Child care issues and time constraint issues. But I did have a rather pleasant evening with ds. Which is nice.

BartonHollow · 07/03/2019 00:44

I think I might be allergic to Aloe Sad

BlankTimes · 07/03/2019 00:56

Speakout please don't worry, all communications can be a bit jangled lately, I've just heard from a friend and her autocorrect has gone into overdrive throughout the whole message making it the funniest thing I've read in a long time.

Elphame your statues are beautiful, nature personified. Love the dog too, little shaggy bundle of fun.

Queen Fresh Aloe Vera is the absolute best thing for burns. Our cats insisted on leaving mine with bitemarks then uprooting every one so I had to stop having the plants indoors. Sadly outdoors was too cold, but I do miss it.

1potato all animals can sense things we can't. Ours alerted me to the energy spot at home. The fully grown dog used to look at it and start to wag his tail like mad, then do little puppy greeting barks and stretch his front paws out together and drop his chest to the ground a few times all the while wagging his tail. I wish I could have seen what he saw, whatever it was he was delighted to see it and wanted it to come and play with him.
The cat used to stand and put all her paws very close together then try to lift her body higher and balance, which made her sway a little whilst she stared at the same area as the dog, with her eyes as wide as saucers and a real beatific zen vibe. Again I'd love to know what she could see.

BlankTimes · 07/03/2019 01:01

Barton don't worry about it, just find something that works for you, we all find things that seem to suit everyone but don't suit us. Smile

speakout · 07/03/2019 07:17

Good morning magical friends.

I hope everyone finds some peace, calm and healing today.

Another wet and boggy day here, a mist covering the trees.

I bought myself some lupin and foxglove plants from ASDA yesterday, some really healthy good sized plants only £2 each, which will come away quickly. I already have a patch of self seeding foxglove, but I will plant these in the new little bed at the back of my house, they will be visible from both the kitchen and living room window.

It's a treat to be able to plantthese things again. I avoided them when the children were young because they are poisonous. but no young children are in my garden now, so I have that freedom again.

Off to make a start on housework before work.

Good morning everyone, I am enjoying reading about everyone's special places. @1potato I too like a disused trainline that I don't go to often, but if I'm in the area I'll make a point of going there. I love seeing how Mother Nature claims back the work of mankind. A force not to be argued with.

I'm happy to share two of my special places with my sisters here. I adore Portland Bill and can spend hours staring out to sea there. My other places is somewhere I stumbled upon by accident; called Kinver Edge in the West Midlands. They have sand caves that people lived in until the 1969s, they look a bit like hobbit holes!

KizzyWayfarer · 07/03/2019 08:52

Echoing speakout’s wishes for peace, calm and healing, especially to certainlymerry
And also happy pottering and planting - my little sweet pea seedlings are doing well!

Another one adding my voice/energy to the intention for peace, calm and healing for our sisters here Flowers

I’ve loved looking at the goddess, nature hoard and seedling pictures. Lovely stuff, thank you for sharing it Smile

I love the sound of those lupins and foxgloves speakout I’ve been gathering seeds as I visit supermarkets, so far veg, herbs and sunflowers. I plan to do some planting at the weekend.

Also love the special places talk. Two of my favourite places are Kynance cove in Cornwall and Bel Tor on Dartmoor. Both magic IMO.

www.legendarydartmoor.co.uk/bel_tor-2.htm

Although, I do also feel the magic in places not necessarily obviously magical. Just a sense of connection and familiarity. There was a spot at the top of the stairs in a tiny terrace house I used to live in where the sun shone through a small stained glass window that I could have basked in all day!

That’s really interesting about Kinver Edge sockportal I seem to remember that Tolkien wrote the lord of the rings books in the West Midlands?

I agree with aloe Vera as wonderful plant for healing. I also use lavender oil for burns.

I spent some time yesterday with a friend who was struggling to remove interfering energy in her life. In addition to talking it through I silently visualised protecting the space, then intuitively knew it was ok to suggest sprinkling a little salt at the front door and around an object representing the interference. I just said it was symbolic of protection/clearing and for her to visualise said energy being removed from her situation and to believe it would work. I was surprised that she happily did this, with no ‘are you mad?’ looks or further questions asked. I’m glad I followed my intuition.

Work today followed by helping with that lovely dog speakout saw in the fire scrying while his owner is unable to take him out.

Wishing everyone a growing sense of renewal as spring seeps into our midst

speakout · 07/03/2019 11:05

I too use lavender oil for burns. Used neat straight on the burn, takes away the pain.

I would try it hesitantly though- it may not be for everyone's skin, and certainly not for more than very small burns.

YashmisCrone Thankyou for posting this music, I have listened to it many times, now, in fact it is playing as I write- it has a very calming reassuring energy.
I'm bumping for anyone that may need it.

I might need a weeks break from MN - self imposed

I'm finding myself drawn in to pointless and unnecessary arguing that I normally would step away from

I feel like as well, that I've given away too much on various threads about myself under this name and it isn't that long since I changed

I just need to be healthier about it I think

sockportal · 07/03/2019 15:37

We will miss you @BartonHollow

@YashmisCrone yes, Tolkien did live in Birmingham, I wonder if he ever visited Kinver?

I've had a really shit afternoon, a curve ball has been thrown at me and it's left me feeling very upset. Would any of you ladies be able to draw a card for me?

queenrollo · 07/03/2019 16:51

I promised a photo when my almond blossomed.

Sok1ere · 07/03/2019 16:56

@BartonHollow...Sometimes it's a good thing to take a break. I've had a few (imposed breaks) recently and it's surprisingly refreshing to step away from social media etc. But, yes, will miss you but your health is important so take some time.

I'm not sure who mentioned it but I echo the stress of home renovations.

@Blanktimes.. Yes, my animals do the same. I was told by a psychic once that one of my (deceased) sisters was visiting them when I was in work.

certainlymerry · 07/03/2019 17:47

@kizzy thank you. I’m struggling a bit at the moment

@Barton : I understand your feelings. I keep deleting my Facebook and then reinstating it.
I also feel uneasy about having the same user name for too long. It’s all a bit unsettling at times.

@queen. Love your almond blossom!!

speakout yes, I use lavender oil neat on burns too. I think it works really well.

I am so pleased that you’ve got so much from that song. I feel the same. It is very reassuring, comforting and healing I think. I’d recommend it to any of our sisters who are struggling.

Barton that sounds like a sensible plan. I love your self awareness. Sometimes we just need to unplug to reconnect with ourselves don’t we. Look forward to seeing you on the other side of your break x

queenrollo that is so beautiful 😍

certainlymerry sending love to you. I hope you’re able to be kind to yourself while you’re struggling. Even the tiniest act of self care can make a difference I think x

I don’t know why I posted that tarot video earlier! 🤷‍♀️

I meant to post this one of kynance cove, one of my favourite places

Well worth a visit if anyone visits Cornwall

sockportal · 07/03/2019 20:27

Thank you @YashmisCrone that has given me a much welcome sense of relief after today. I will do my best to emotionally recover today, think positively and move forward and the answers will be there.

sockportal · 07/03/2019 20:31

Kynance cave looks amazing! I'll add it to my list of places to visit.

These are my "hobbit holes" at Kinver.
