Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration

All welcome.

Hope that your friend is all right, Pawnee; hospital at least means that she is getting help. ❤️

Elphame - I often find myself writing ritual or ritual poetry in my head in the car to and from work; I've started keeping a notebook in my bag to frantically scribble down lines and phrases when I park! 😂

I actually came here to post this link which seems like a nice little way to plan your wheel of the year. angelarmogida.com/store/?model_number=sabbat-planner1819NH I depend on my year planner for work and life in general, being dyspraxic with consequent organising and memory 'challenges' and I love her planner stickers for moons, sabbats, planetary movements, etc. This came in an email and she says that she is already working on an addition for tarot spreads. 😃

Thank you to whoever posted about the Hidden Witch podcast. I listened to a few at work today (don't worry, we're allowed to do that while we number crunch and analyse data on our computers) and really enjoyed it. I came away from their website with a list of other witchy podcasts and more books to try (whoops...).

Sending love and light to you and your friend, Pawnee.

Off to the Spellbound exhibit at the Ashmolean today! I’ll report back 🧙🏼‍♀️

I am sorry to hear about your friend, I hope she makes a good recovery soon.

You are freaked out about that felling you had- I think these things happen when we walk a magical path, they can be very disconcerting I understand why you feel unnerved. As the sands shift and change then our relationship with the Universe alters, and these events start to happen.
But look how supportive it must have been for your friend- for you to text at at time that she needed a friend- I am sure you getting in touch made a difference to her- so ultimately it was a really positive thing.

Hi everyone, just checking in and to ask a question that's been on my mind...
I'm wondering if there is an understanding or unwritten rule about sharing information on spellwork results? I know the craft had to be kept secret for so long... and still does in some countries even today. Is there still a reluctance to write about successes or is it just a personal choice?

Ps am quite sick with a virus which is keeping me housebound so would welcome some healing thoughts as I'm going stir crazy.

speakout · 11/10/2018 14:02

Bellecose

I don't abide by rules- I don't know if there are any, and I wouldn't adhere to them even if there were.

I have shared the results of some of my spellwork here a few months ago. If it feels good do it, if not then that's fine also..

BlankTimes · 11/10/2018 14:13

For me, personal choice plus personal reluctance to say anything which may be taken from here and used for "entertainment" it is open internet. Lots of MN threads appear elsewhere.

Bellecose2 · 11/10/2018 14:24

Yes I get that.

Couple of things I wanted to share but something just stops me writing....but I will share this, feel a glow over me right now. Maybe your candle Blank? Thank you.

@speakout.. I must have missed those posts but will go back through the thread

PawneeParksDept · 11/10/2018 14:25

Thanks for the kind words about my friend I'm trying to sort her out with a care package now. I just found the strength and accuracy of my foresight a bit overwhelming xx

SecretWitch · 11/10/2018 15:36

Hello lovely witches! I am well jel of all your wonderful rambles in the woods. I am fortunate to be in my bedroom with large Victorian windows but I long to be outside.

Pawnee sending healing thoughts to your friend.

I do get bits and pieces of psychic information. In the morning before work, I would often flash on a coworker who would be out sick that day. I can generally walk into a room and “read” the emotions of those present. Sometimes, these things can feel exhausting. I crave solitude and nature as an antidote to all these feelings.

Wishing everyone a peaceful afternoon and evening ✨✨

Elphame · 11/10/2018 17:01

Bellecose There is an old saying:

To know
To will
To dare
To keep silent

It is really up to you what you want to share. I actually share quite a bit in personal conversation, less online and like BlankTimes I feel this is an oasis in a generally hostile site but it's too public to be too explicit.

Hope you feel better soon. I walked into one shop the other day and straight back out again when the assistant sneezed all over someone she was serving and apologised, saying her son had shared the bug with her. He and his wife had been off work for 2 days with it but she was soldiering through. Thanks but I really don't want to catch it!

Bellecose2 · 11/10/2018 18:42

@Elphame yes, I would have done the same.... I don't actually have that particular virus, I've got the Vbug caught from a child but do feel a lot better thank you.

I like those wise words too.

GeeIneverthoughtofthat · 11/10/2018 18:46

Evening all - just checking in as I haven’t been around for a while.

The unwell familiar is still hanging in there but it’s not a great long term outlook and we may have to decide soon what to do. I’m sad about him.

However I did get to spend the beautiful day outside yesterday and to soak up lots of sun. I also got to visit wonderful Rosslyn Chapel where I enjoyed seeing five sided stars and lots of green men in the intricate carvings.

Hope that your friend is doing a little better @Pawnee.

speakout · 11/10/2018 20:43

Hi Gee- Roslin Chapel is amazing isn't it, some lovely walks down the river gorge there too, caves with Neolithic carvings. I think it has been a place of power for a very long time.
I live 6 miles from there.

I've always wanted to go to Rosslyn. I've never been to Scotland

GeeIneverthoughtofthat · 11/10/2018 21:35

@speakout it was a really lovely visit and we had a very interesting talk about the history too. We also read of the Neolithic people having settled there.

We met the guide outside afterwards and he told us of the ancient trees in the woodland below and how people go there for the equinoxes / solstices. He asked me if the next festival was Beltane and I said no Samhain. I don’t know how he thought I would know that answer to that question (but I did!). Then we sat by the river and relaxed. A lovely part of the world and it must be wonderful to be so near. 😊

@Pawnee it’s a long way to Scotland for me but well worth the visit.

Elphame · 12/10/2018 00:11

Rosslyn has been on my wish list for years but it's a long long way. One day!

YashmisCrone · 12/10/2018 10:20

Morning friends,

Just wanted to pop in and say hello 👋

The wind and rain are very strong here. I’m hoping for a ‘proper’ storm! To think we had glorious sunshine a couple of days ago. I love to tap into the power of the weather. Practically speaking not so much today as I’m having problems with my car! It’s a 15 minute walk to the bus stop so I’ll certainly be feeling the full force of the elements today!

I went on amazon the other day to order something practical...before I knew it my basket was also full of a witches calendar and moon diary for next year along with this ‘Herbiary’ book by Maia Toll. It’s a beautiful thing and includes some botanical based oracle cards. It’s got short rituals and reflections for each plant. I’d never heard of the author before. It’s a simple but lovely book. I’m hoping it will speak to my need to ‘earth’ more!

Sending love to those who need it at present Flowers

YashmisCrone

That looks a lovely book.
We all need to treat ourselves from time to time.
I'm looking for a piece of Miriam stone at the moment, the ones I have found online all seem to be very small.

I have DD home this weekend which is lovely, complete with a stack of laundry to be done and some favourite meals she would like me to cook!

May have a glass of wine while I prepare dinner.

I read Jason Millers book last night. Elements of Spellcrafting, great guidance as to intention and process but no actual rituals or suggested spells Confused

BlankTimes · 12/10/2018 17:22

Pawnee that's probably because the author wants to impress on readers the process of doing individual workings and all it entails, rather than give general examples.

SecretWitch · 12/10/2018 18:03

Happy Friday, Sisters! I have just lit a lovely red candle to usher in the weekend.

We are celebrating my youngest child’s birthday today. My little Libra, who does not have many Libra characteristics 😂. Kindly, everyone is bringing the party to my bedroom so I can participate.

Rosslyn is on my wish list too! I believe I would like to visit on my own, so I might take my time and really look around.
