Bit of an odd one ladies

Well known UK shop, I don't often shop in as it's expensive. We don't have one locally and I'd need to travel there and back out of my way on poor public transport, I also have nothing specific to buy.

My brain of its own accord keeps saying "you need to go to X" despite not needing to.

The shop is in my home city.

I need to go don't I ?

Pawnee I wonder what is drawing you there? Can you do a quick meditation to see if anything comes to mind? Let us know what the outcome is!

Is it the shop or the fact it is in your home city? Could the shop be the catalyst to get you to visit your home city for something?

I am a bit discombobulated atm. There has been a lot of life recently and I am hoping my trip will help restore a bit of balance. I picked up a book on tarot the other day. I am reflecting on the purchase, but not being drawn to read it yet. It would not surprise me if I find a tarot set that comes home with me on my trip or at some point in the future. Still slightly baffled as I went into the shop to pick up a recommended book from this thread. Never did purchase that book. Apparently it was not meant to be.

@SecretWitch thanks for that, I have lavender oil, I night attempt to make a spray for the bedrooms! I wasn't quite sure the best way to do this, but I'll have a go with the water/vodka/oil. DS particularly needs calming influences.

Pawnee, could it be a general pull to the past? Ancestral energies are strong at this time of year and it may be someone prodding you to connect back to your roots. Sometimes returning ‘home’ can help us recharge - gives us a bit of an energy boost.

I’ve just returned from a trip abroad to my old home and it’s scratched an itch I’ve been feeling for ages. Did a little walk around the cemetery placing flowers for relatives and then just soaking up the atmosphere. I’ve brought a stone back with me to put on my Samhain altar as a physical link to the place. I’m linked there by blood anyway so probably didn’t need it but it felt right.

Pawnee that's really interesting, I think you need to visit this shop. I get pulled to places like this quite frequently. It could be there's a memory associated with it that you've buried. Perhaps it needs to resurface so you can explore or further... could it be something you need reminding of in order to learn from?

I wanted to make some velor material bags for some magic purposes (storage for tarot/runes amongst other purposes) I have some fabric in that was original purposed for something else. Is there any reasons why I should avoid doing this or any precautionary steps I should take if I were to do so?

If it matters the material colours are earthy brown and an old gold. Is colour something I need to consider in this type of project?

Hills I think it's fine to use, but I would just make sure to cleanse it to get rid of any energies attached to it. If it was me, I'd wash it the hang it outside to bathe in tonight's full moon.

To me, the colour isn't important, it's more about choosing something you're drawn too.

It's not really a "pull" to the city I've just arranged to see friends there at Christmas, it's this idea that I HAVE to go next week and specifically to this shop 🤔

I'm just back from visiting a lovely little holistic therapy/witchy place. I wasn't there for therapy, but I wanted some crystals (amethyst, blue lace agate, and moonstone). Then I came across a set of tarot cards I kept going back to, and I really wasn't intending on getting them, but they ended up in my basket.

What ones did you get Grucius?

Lovely crisp day here. I have been reading everyone’s posts and picking up bits that really resonate with me. As @boldygoingsomewhere mentioned I am finding myself wanting to go home as much as possible. Home to where my mum is but also home to the place my ancestors came from.

PawneeParks, I would say if you can all make the trip, then go. You may find something surprising and lovely waiting for you.

whatsallthisaboutthen; I am very afraid of candles and cats. My ginger girl tried snuggling up to a candle once and got her tail singed. I felt terrible. She was fine but it gave me a fright!

I am hoping to be up and moving enough to take my regular very early Samhain walk through our very old cemetery. My eldest daughter will accompany. She took the day off to celebrate with me.

Oh, yes, I wanted to mention, like Grucius, I have started to think more about tarot. There is set of cards that I really love. I haven’t bought them yet as they are expensive and really, I just haven’t felt ready.
I think the time is coming though.

Amethyst, moonstone and blue agate. As I handed them over the lady said, "Oh ,I feel the heat from these. They should do what you need".

I think I'm going to put them in water and leave it in the garden tonight. I'll add lavender tomorrow and use as a spray for my house. I think that should be OK.
