I spent some time with my Everyday Witch tarot last night. Then I drew a card before bed just to see........I drew Judgement which was practically shouting about my life right now. So I did a three card spread to follow and boy have I had a kick up the backside from the Universe with that.

I have been really struggling with sending my smallest to school, and I know that part of me has been wilfully holding on to resentment about it. The cards told me to let it go. I'm not promising it will be easy, but I am going to really try.

I took my medication earlier last night after talking to several friends who all use it and my head is much clearer this morning. I did drift through the evening until bedtime though!

queenrollo we have both had a kick up the backside then! Grin
It’s good to break a negative thought pattern x

Sorry to interject here but I need to change my email on this site so that will mean another user name. I'm tired with Insomma anyway which I equate to Meh! in English. As I don't feel so Meh! since joining this thread, it's no big hardship and I'd like something a little more positive to reflect my new outlook.

I wonder if you will be able to spot me by my energy? I can try to PM some of you with my new username. So for now , Insomma1 is deleted but will return in some new form.

(email hacked so can't advertise new name on the site)

@speakout the plan was to Home Ed him. I was not really in the right headspace to make a decision about sending him to school and felt like I had no choice. It's all very complicated and I am working through it with therapy. While it is the right thing for my son, it has had impact on my life which I feel is not right for me and those compromises are not coming easy to me.
I feel like the cards are telling me that I need to just embrace the change and learn how to build a 'new' life.
It's all very much tied in with self identity.

How old is your son?

Has he started school yet?

queenrollo · 09/09/2018 09:40

speakout He will be 6 in January so he has done Reception and has just started in Yr1.
He is thriving on the routine and is very bright so the stimulation of school is suiting him.

Is he enjoying school? Did you HE your other children?

I would fully support anyone's educational choices, but is school something you have negative feelings about?

He absolutely loves school which is the silver lining I am trying so hard to focus on.
I have one older son (13) and he has never gone to school.

There are some aspects of school that I don't like, though we picked a school which matches our own educational philosophy very closely.

What I realise is that my struggle to adjust to having a child in school has brought to fore many other longstanding issues which I have never dealt with. This is why I am in therapy now, because I want to move past them and into a healthier headspace.
I have to say that I have been using the time when he is at school to reconnect with nature and my spirituality and feel I am in a period of intense growth.

Just made a quick batch of Aphrodite Rose candles.

DD should be here soon, so odd having my DD as a visitor!!

I will work later, and this week I will make a start on decorating my broomstick.
I have been waiting for the turn of the season, and it's starting to happen.

Very autumnal here. I go out into the garden each morning to let the chickens out and this morning the garden seemed to embrace me, I think it knows I love the changes of this season.

I can understand your feelings.

Were you happy at school?

My kids were very shy, quiet, sensitive, but adored school.
It was such a nurturing environment, the staff were brilliant and the ethos was caring, very child centred.

Kids have so many holidays from school, and as an information hungry family my children still learned at home too.

I had a bad time at school, but schools are very different places nowadays.

Morning all

I had to let my beloved boy go this morning. It was very peaceful and I held him to the end.

Trying to be brave but oh it’s hard. 😢

queenrollo · 09/09/2018 11:45

@Gee I am so sorry. It's a deep pain, losing a beloved pet. I will be thinking of you today x

speakout I had a mixed experience at school, but it wasn't completely dreadful.

Gee I am so so sorry. Don’t worry about being brave today. Big hugs.

queenrollo I’m a primary teacher, if you ever wanted to PM me or ask me something here I’d be happy to try and help. My eldest has just started reception and even though I’m ‘on the other side of the fence’ usually I’ve found it very hard!

First of all I'd like to say it's nice to see a thread where women are supporting each other.

I have a few questions though, if anyone would care to answer.

I have read a few things like:

I think I'd let him suffer for a bit!

I'd also dream up some sort of very apologetic "ritual" he had to do which would make him look like a complete pillock

I've been sitting on this for about a week to let him stew

The lad in question had done something that was perceived to be disrespectable and acting out in general. He'd then been feeling ill from what he believed to be the repercussions of this.

Is this part of witchcraft or just certain peoples views?

And this 'uncrossing' to remove a curse is it? Who put these curses on in the first place? Do witches curse people?

speakout · 09/09/2018 16:25

Vitalogy

Witches, pagans, wiccans are human.

I am not sure why you suggest that we are exempt from frailties, bad motives, feelings of anger, revenge.

Don't all humans feel this way?

Witchcraft goives us tools, nothing else.

A bit like having longer legs or the ability to hear through wall.

I don't buy into the white/black stuff either.

I imagine some witches do curse people- I am surprised that you are surprised.
