Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration

All welcome.

speakout I'd love to hear the song please. Isn't it amazing when that sort of thing happens?

Gee I am so so sorry to hear about your cat. Any news yet?

As for that thread - I'm out too. I have it hidden so I won't be tempted to take a peak.

FlowerPower66 · 08/09/2018 17:59

I'm going to my first spiritual fair tomorrow.
I'm soo excited... what shall I expect x

Zaphodbebblebrox · 08/09/2018 18:14

Flowerpower Have fun! I've never been to one so can't comment but I hope you enjoy it and find something special to you.

I've just seen the Christian thread- I found it exhausting to read. I feels to me like asking for another perspective whilst simultaneously not wanting to accept one. Again I'm grateful for this place of acceptance and support with no need to justify or challenge anyone's beliefs. It's a rare and beautiful thing.

Elphame · 08/09/2018 18:15

Lots to spend your money on I expect! I'm sure you'll have a great time. I like the Wytches Market when it's in Glastonbury. Lot of jewellery and some lovely handmade pottery and lots of things you don't know you need until you see them!

Safely here in North Wales and it is of course raining..... B&Q calls tomorrow so we can get the post summer repairs underway before the next lot of guests. DP is currently looking at the wreckage of my lovely wicker blanket box and wondering if it's salvageable. It's in pieces and all the screws are bent. There's also a strange greasy stain on one of the walls and I've yet to really check the rest of the rooms. Could be a lot worse though!

I need to refresh the cottage protection work. A job for the dark moon tomorrow night I think.

Elphame

Thank you, and I admire you for being respectful and dignified on your exit from that negative thread.

And happy to share my magical song- for anyone who loves to travel:

And I have just listened again to the lyrics " a magical potion", it didn;t twig first time around.

Thanks all - the call was not quite as expected. I think both the Vet and I expected it to be hopeless.

However it’s a case of medication and seeing how he does over the next 36 hours. And he can spend that time at home with us where he will of course be spoiled.

Any positive vibes would be much appreciated oh wise ones.

Elphame · 08/09/2018 18:42

Lovely song. I've always considered Mike Oldfield to be pretty pagan/witchy. I've no idea if he really is though. A lot of his music seems to be pretty mystical.

That thread was difficult - I have read an awful lot about the early church and the events leading up to its adoption as the official Roman religion. The Romans were delightfully bureaucratic and a lot of original material survives which is equally fascinating for what is not mentioned as well as what is. Most of the surviving Christian mysticism seems to be preserved in the Eastern Orthodox which split off very early in church history and thus escaped the stranglehold of the Catholic church and its demonisation of any non church sanctioned magic ( whilst of course performing quite a lot of magic on its own account!).

Hello, room for one more by the hearth? 🙂 I’m a solitary kitchen witch from the south west coast of Scotland, my practice has ebbed and flowed over the past 10 years with health and life in general taking me on a bit of a winding road but is very much having a revival since becoming a mother last spring...even if I no longer have the time to commit that I once did, the yearning inside me to follow my path has only gotten stronger.
I’m slowly reading over the old thread, I look forward to getting to know you all better and hearing your collective wisdom 🙂

Elphame · 08/09/2018 18:46

Oh that's good news "Gee". I'll light a candle later and send a small request to Bastest for you. She has always helped me when my own cats have been in trouble.

Pull up a cushion, you are very welcome. The nights are drawing in now, which makes these evenings even more special.
Listen, comment, ask or just be here- all is good,.

Pleased to hear it's not as you thought Gee, sending healing thoughts your way..

Hello Silver 👋
There's always room for one more here. Nice to meet you, glad you found us Smile

Tarot pick is the Five of cups.

A witch sits by the sea shore picnic, upset that things have not gone to plan.
But she is ignoring all that is good in her life.
This is a card to examine the cup half empty/half full idea in your life.
Dwelling on the negative will cause distress, the cup suit in general is a sign of abundance.
Question your reality. Are things so bad? Do you have good things in your life?
Count your blessings. Are things really so bad as you think?

I appear to be having "a moment" or my incense is too strong Grin

I could have sworn I read a post from someone who wanted their Mother to join us but said the mother wasn't a member of MN and they were asking if there was another way she could join in.

Then when I tried to read back and go to the previous page, my computer decided to display the whole of the thread as a single page so finding it is now impossible among over 700 posts.

Never mind, If that was you who asked, then sorry but she will have to join MN in order to post here.

I'm going to take my crystal ball and sit on a cushion in Crone Corner and keep quiet for a while Wink

I saw that thread but didn't get past the first few posts, too many years online and seen too much of that type of thing to get involved.

Welcome to all new folks since I last posted, cushions aplenty for you.

Off to use my real aga to cook dinner, the oil tanker arrived this morning so I lit the aga after what seems like months since I switched it off and now have the central heating on full blast too.
Warmmmmmm and cosy here, my trilogy of black cats are dozing, wondering what culinary delights they will be presented with later.

BlankTimes · 08/09/2018 20:06

Just remembered someone upthread asked for Froud Faeries Oracle fans ~~~~waves~~~ also get on well with the Heart of Faerie pack too.

Insomma1 · 08/09/2018 20:14

@Elphame... I was always drawn to the historical accounts of the Cathars.

@Gee Healing thoughts to you

@speakout... haunting beautiful theme. When I need to take a step back, I usually find withdrawing with music calms and centres me.

@silver....look forward to chatting with you

@blank....Crones Corner sounds so appealing right now. Safe, secure and out of harms way. Just what I need

FitzsFool · 08/09/2018 20:31

blanktimes the phrase ‘my trilogy of black cats’ really made me smile.

FlowerPower66 · 08/09/2018 20:32

@Elphame I will report back!

BeyondAnOmnishambles · 08/09/2018 20:35

Evening all. Having a deeply unmagical day today. Meh.
Feeling rather under the weather so I've been binge watching Outlander all day. Have just lit my candles and put some orange oil in the burner.

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 08/09/2018 21:34

Ah beyond I think there’s Something a bit magical about Jamie Fraser ;) hope you feel better though

speakout · 09/09/2018 07:22

Dd coming for lunch, living in student accommodation now but still has a part time job near home- she has been working overnight- and she gets p;aid to lead children around imaginary toadstools- how cool!!
I will tidy and put work on hold today, just enjoy family time.

I hope everyone has a magical day.

Good Morning.... I have a busy day today too (but as a guest) so am looking forward to being spoilt.

Enjoy your day with your daughter spe... no doubt you will be hearing all her exciting news, she sounds so adorable.

Have a lovely sunday everyone

speakout · 09/09/2018 07:56

Insomma1

How lovely that you will be spoilt today- we all need that sometimes.

DD has been working at a fundraising sleepover at her dance school, she has danced since the age of 4, and is now a part time dance teacher as well as student nurse.
I drank a little too much wine last night!

A quick "spa" shower is called for, quick tidy round and pick up DD when she is finished.

Good morning everyone and welcome to anyone who has joined this lovely supportive thread!
speakout thank you so much for taking the time to pick a card for me; it does strike a chord with me...... I do have a lot to be thankful about, but I do sometimes get bogged down in events that have happened and which I have no control over!
Coming on this thread has actually been a little turning point for me, I feel some of my old mojo returning!
I am also a collector of hagstones and this thread reminded me there were a couple I collected with DD2 on a break to West Sussex a couple of weeks ago... so I have just found them in a bag & popped them on the window ledge Smile......... we also collected mermaid purses .... she was so excited....... never seen so many, my older daughter used to be obsessed by them!
Wishing everyone a beautiful Sunday.....
