Offer to give her a bottle of rosehip syrup (depending on how much your haul makes, likely to be a small bottle, but even so Smile

Zaphodbebblebrox · 08/09/2018 14:53

Rose hips aren't ready yet here either!
Some other ideas for the jam/marmalade makers amongst us:

recipesfromthewild.wordpress.com/rose-hips/

Love the idea of freezing the syrup in ice cube trays and taking out to use as needed.

I've been very reflective recently- I turned on the radio as background while doing some housework and received a very clear answer to one of my questions in the form of a song. I love it when that happens Smile

speakout · 08/09/2018 15:09

None of our autumn fruit is ready here either- elderberries and rosehips all still green.

Hello sisters! Anyone else having a lazy day? I just keep reading amidst endless cups of tea...

The Christian thread really upset me, not in a “ I’m such a delicate witch” kind of way but more feeling like there is such prejudice against non Judeo/Christian religions. I need to let this go though as I don’t want to be dragged down with negativity.

Sending everyone bright blessings for the rest of today ( and am v.jealous of those making rose hip syrup..I had it once over vanilla ice cream..delicious)

SecretWitch · 08/09/2018 16:12

Ohhh, Zaphod how wonderful! When that happened, did you get a little tingly feeling? Or just know you answer was there?

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 08/09/2018 16:14

secretwitch I’ve just glanced over that thread and it wasn’t pleasant reading.

ThatsNotEvenAWord · 08/09/2018 16:15

zaphod I love it when that kind of thing happens!

Insomma1 · 08/09/2018 16:23

@thatsnotevenaword.. It is upsetting me too.

Yes that thread has annoyed me too, and I regret getting pulled back into it.

So I will publicly state here that I will draw a line under that one.

So much better hanging out here with witchy friends who understand what is going on!!

I am working a slow easy pace today, with lots of coffee in between.

So been a nice day.

DD is having a good time in her student accommodation - she messaged me this morning, said she is sharing with a bunch of really nice girls, seems upbeat and happy.
She will be back tomorrow for Sunday lunch :))

OH is on call today and has been working non stop all day, may sneak some wine in later.

Also made myself a pudding for later- sliced oranges, marinaded in rose water, cinnamon and icing sugar, I served sprinkled with chopped pistachios and creme fraiche.

I also thought of elphame this morning- ASDA have good sized mason jars for £1, a real bargain, so I bought a few.

Insomma1 · 08/09/2018 16:27

@speakout... I love the sound of that pudding.

Yes I have had the return of a song once too.

I had a real run of bad luck a few years ago.
My OH had cancer and died, leaving me a widow in my 20s.
No kids, the house had to be sold, and I was made redundant.

I was in a bad place, and put all my efforts into some magical workings to improve my life.
I wanted to go on holiday really needed the break, but couldn't afford it.
During my spell work I used a song that was powerful and meaningful to me- a modern British musician, a little obscure, a song that was never in the charts.

A few weeks later a sum of money landed in my lap, exactly the amount that would take me to the sun.

I sat with a friend in a Bedouin tent in Morocco eating a meal. real traditional stuff sitting on cushions..
All evening I could hear Arabic music being quietly played on the sound system in the background. No non- Moroccan stuff at all, no British or American music.

Then all at once the volume increased and the exact song I had used in my working was played in its entirety . I nearly choked on my tagine!! After that one song - back to the Arabic music.
No other Western music was played in the whole evening.
I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end!!

I agree @speakout that pudding sounds divine. I have an affinity with rose. I make a version of rice pudding which is has rose water stirred through just before serving (it's eaten cold). I make this dish when going to gatherings where food is shared and it's always a hit.

I've had a reasonably productive day given how foggy the medication has made me.

speakout · 08/09/2018 16:37

queenrollo

Oh yum. Sounds like some cardamon could be sneaked in there somewhere too.

Sorry you are feeling foggy.

Do you have peppermint tea you could drink?
Some medications can leave us a little dehydrated, and peppermint has the amazing ability to perk us up and calm us down at the same time.
I drink lots of it.

I'll post the link to the music track if anyone is interested.

Just checking in after a stressful afternoon. My poor cat appears to be getting worse and we are awaiting a call from the vets.

If the calls goes as expected then we have to go back and make the hard decision. 😢

No worries Insomnia it's hard to keep up with usernames- we're a growing moot! Smile

What a powerful story speakout I'm never surprised to hear such synchronicities and successful magical happenings but they still give me shivers [and take my breath away smile]

Mine was a reassurance of being heading in the right direction and that I'm on my way to what I've asked for. also a special song I've used in visualisation work. Not a current chart song. I hadn't even realised it was on my mind but when I turned on the radio just before it started I felt warm, comforted and reassured. I smiled and said our loud 'I see! Thank you'

I'd love to hear your song speakout

Slow day here too. I've pottered around enjoying my own company and done some cooking- I needed both the grounding and nutrition! A big pot of chilli and a lemon cake. Both comforting and zingy- just what I currently need!

I love the sound of the puddings previously discussed! Speaking of rose- I've recently been enjoying these 'womankind' teabags I found in Tesco. I drink a lot of peppermint too.

Hope you're able to take it easy queenrollo I've been on some heavy neuro meds for migraine and know it can knock you for six Flowers
