Flying by to say good morning and God bless.

Rosey - big hugs for you, I've posted on your other thread.

HI CD. Good to have you back! Will pray for you and your dh, for patience and perseverence for you both. I wonder if you are putting yourselves under too much pressure to resolve things at the moment, whilst moving house and with another baby due? (Someone once said to me that once you have 'em you will understand why having a child to try to save a marriage is not a good idea.) It involves throwing the status quo up in the air, changing everything, just at the time when you start getting less sleep and your hormones go wild. I think that it is definitely a time to be very gentle with yourselves and with each other, whilst trying to keep communication channels open and gentle. Take a deep breath before speaking, but try not to bottle things up too. See what other stresses you can cut out of your life, to give yourselves more gentle time together. Do anything to make life easier and reduce the need to feel guilty and be busy. Hugs and prayers for you both.

MTGA - good to hear that you had a good weekend. Praying for you.

Hi Mufti, Mary (where are you??!), Sleepysooz, Panda, WB, MW and everyone else!

CaptainDippy · 18/02/2007 13:00

Thank you for that NQSTM - It was just what I needed to hear - We have got an awful lot on atm, esp with Bump on it's way; it is just hard to know where to start when deciding where to draw the line, iykwim!!? My head is so full of stuff atm I can't even think straight. Just trying to take one day at a time. It'll be good for us to get away at the beginning of March for a week.....

How is everyone else? Hope you are all having fab w/e's!! Where are you Mary??

OP posts:
Notquitesotiredmum · 18/02/2007 14:16

Absolutely - one day at a time, one week at a time (for at least a year, maybe longer!!!) You've got your marriage course as a time for looking at 'ishoos' - the bits inbetween should be for rest, recovery and TLC!

Where are you off to in March then?

Marscentio · 18/02/2007 15:37

My lady safely delivered. Thank you. Other lady still holding on. If she could just hold on until tomorrow evening that would be great. I have a lovely wee French girl arriving tomorrow early am and need to be about for that.

Dippy.... time out together is the key. Even if it's just an evening.

CaptainDippy · 18/02/2007 16:57

PandaG · 18/02/2007 21:39

Hello all

been away for the weekend to pick up the DC after a week at my Ps.

Praying for you all.

CD - hugs honey. Preg, new house, 2 LOs and a friend to stay for the week. Recipe for no time, space or energy, and therefore terrible friction with each other. Praying hard.

MaryBS · 18/02/2007 22:04

Just wanted to say, I'm still here, very busy, what with church, tutorials, not well, hate my job and all that.

Still praising God though PRAISE THE LORD!

So happy atm

longwaytogoandabitfurther · 18/02/2007 22:04

hi all, sorry not been around but been down to South Wales to take dh on a training course and the dc to my mums for half term.

Family councelling was ok. dd1 got upset, dd2 just kind of nodded a lot, friend looked after the littlies. Dh didn't really join in.

I've not seen him all w/e and when i did see him this eve i felt/ feel nothing but a horrible feeling for him. Just wish he would move out but there is a prob where I need your prayers.

His dm is really poorly, she had tests last week and has urgent follow up next week. but fil going to ring dc tomorrow, she is type of person who never stops and she hasn't moved out of chair all w/e, she has eaten only miniscule portions of food, her tummy is distended and her naval is bruised. Looking at the sygmoidoscopy report it does not look good.

So please pray for her and fil and please pray that seems we got a week without children that we will be able to sort some stuff out. Please pray that we will be able to 'talk' to each other bec at the moment i can't even look at him let alone talk to him.

So pray, pray, pray as I know you will.

worzella · 18/02/2007 22:10

HI LWTG - praying for your MIL and her health and that you are able to talk to DH

Glad to see the grin Mary! Sorry that you hate your job

Praying for others too. We all had a good half term but not looking forward to the school run tomorrow!

sleepysooz · 19/02/2007 15:42

Our half term is this week, started off very good, mind you, DS1 spent his xmas and b'day money on roller blades and an MP3 player in preparation for his hopefully good behaviour, so far so good, he is also doing indoor rowing tomorrow and fencing on Wed... and cricket on frid... and I'm working 3 nights this week, so hopefully daytimes will fly by!

Please could I have a small prayer request for some 'hypnotherapy' I am currently receiving for my 'emetophobia' hope everything goes ok, will be all over by the summer (thats my goal)

Thoughts and prayers to all the postee's!

roseylea · 19/02/2007 15:43

hello all!

praying for you LWTG - my heart goes out to you.

JUst a quick answer to prayer - dd really didn't want to go to school today but she went, and I managed to have a quiet word with the teacher this morning. She talked to dd and it emerged that dd feels a bit left out, that she hasn't really got anyone to play with. So in their circle time they talked about being friends and the teacher got everyone to say something nice about dd - apparantly they all said really lovely things! Also dd has chosen two 'special friends' to play with. When I picked her up this afternoon she was beaming and sooooooo happy! She skipped all the way home! THank you God!

Also I've had a good day - organising a Fair TRade Week for the school where I work - I've been phoning the managers of local food shops and supermarkets, and they are all donating FT food (chocolate, fruit juice, rasins etc) to us! Fantastic! My little group of student helpers in the library are all busy organising quizzes etc so they're learning about FT in the process...good stuff! I've been asked to go to a meeting at the Town Hall on Wednesday afternoon about working towards becoming a FT town, so I'm trying to wangle people to look after the dcs.

So thank you God for answering prayer!

worzella · 19/02/2007 16:21

what's emetophpobia?

longwaytogoandabitfurther · 19/02/2007 17:11

fear of people or being sick i think.

mumtogusnalbie · 19/02/2007 19:52

LWTGO - I really do feel for you in your current situation. My DS1 has his first full day at school today and so his dad left work early to see him when he finished. I too had trouble talking to him - he was sat on the sofa drinking a can of beer and it really made me cringe. I pray that you and your husband will find the courage to talk through your problems and find an amicable solution.
Sleepysooz - good luck for 1/2 term week - sounds like you will be kept busy! i will pray that your hypnotherapy goes well and that you over come your emetophobia.
Rosylea - fantastic! So glad God took care of you DD at school today - that must be a weight off your mind. Congratulations on your Fair Trade work. I will continue to pray for you and know that god will continue to guide and look after you & your family.

Hello to everyone else I haven't mentioned!

A quick update on my day - as i mentioned earlier DS1 was at school all day so I took the opportunity to spend special time with DS2. I took him to the Zoo with my mum and we had a fantastic day. Spent a short time at MIL after school so the boys could see their dad then returned home and they palyed out in the garden. Unfortunately DS1 broke his scooter so I have posted a WANTED ad. on our local freecycle sight - fingers crossed. I am so broke that I really can't afford to buy a new one and he is so upset as it is one of his favourite toys. The boys are now fast asleep in bed so here's to a peaceful evening - just off to make a cup of tea in time for Eastenders!!

God bless everyonexxxx

Notquitesotiredmum · 19/02/2007 20:49

Great news Rosey. What a lovely teacher. So pleased that things have worked out there. (Could I ask for prayer for ds1 again please? Having said that we were learning from the past, he came home from school today saying that he doesn't want to go tomorrow. . It is down to friendship problems, but our teachers regard it as the job of the kids to sort it out themselves. I shall still try to catch the teacher for a word, so prayers would be welcome that I don't come across as an overanxious mum, and that I can enlist her help.

Prayers for a scooter to come your way MTGA - and that your ds is not too upset in the meantime. Poor little thing. How did his first day at school go, otherwise?

CaptainDippy · 19/02/2007 21:05

Evening - not so bad in DippyLand - v.tired tonight though, need to go to bed soon..... Had mw appt today and all is good except that bubs is oblique lie, which would explain a lot of the discomfort I've been experiencing - still plenty of time to turn though!

Rosey - thank you for posting the link to that poor lady's thread - will be praying for her and her mother and esp her father. Soooooo pleased DD's day at school was much better, what a fab teacher - great stuff.....

lwtg - [[hugs] Am pray, pray, pray, pray, praying ..... and for your MIL too. xxx

Sooz - Praying for the emetophobia (fear of being sick to confirm for people) treatment and for a great half-term for all of you!

NQSTM - Praying for poor DS1 and situation at school.

Great to "see" you Worz and Panda and Mary and anyone else!!!

Laters Potatas ....

Hi NSTM - my DS1 thoroughally (is that spelt right?!!) enjoyed his first full day of school. He has been doing half days since January. He was lucky enough to go to the pre-school attached to the school so has moved up to Reception with about 8 other of his friends. Thankfully he seems to be pretty popular with the other kids and he has settled really well. No luck on the scooter front yet but then I suppose I can't expect miracles. My sister is going to a boot sale on Saturday so I will ask her to look out for one. I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said he used it every day so it will be sorely missed! Unfortunately, it was only an old one which his Grandad rescued from a skip and so I don't think it really stood a chance of standing up to the punishment of a 4 year old on a daily basis! He was really sweet though when I told him I had posted on Freecycle, he said "mummy I might get a boys scooter this time!" the one Grandad had found was pink!!
Bless him!!

CaptainDippy · 19/02/2007 21:44

Awwww, bless him indeed - Glad his 1st full school day was good!

Notquitesotiredmum · 20/02/2007 09:30

Flying by to say good morning and God bless.

MTGA - I'll post a message on our freecycle local too, and check out whether we could post a scooter to you, if one appears. I'm guessing that it was a microscooter, yes?

CaptainDippy · 20/02/2007 11:01
