Hi everyone

I won't be on mumsnet much from now on, at least for a few months. I'm moving house tomorrow and DH (plus computer) staying here and won't join us until end of June.

Feeling really sad and upset tonight. I'm looking forward to our new home and my new job but going to miss dh like crazy.

Can I ask for prayers while I make these huge changes in my life? Just knowing that someone is praying will make a huge difference.

I will pop on when I can. Praying for you all too.

PandaG · 14/02/2007 19:18

LWTG I was praying for your Relate session. [hugs] to you.

CD I'm praying for you as well. [[hugs] to you too!

Hi Mary! [waves] Hope work is going okay. Are you looking for another job or just putting up with it for the moment?

Well we are all fine. We bought a coffee machine yesterday and this morning dh let me lie in and I woke up to the smell of coffee...yum!

weirdbird · 16/02/2007 13:26

Afternoon all

It is quiet, no CD thats why!

Hope everything is ok CD am praying the dizziness abates!

We have had a good morning, I managed to get to Bumps and Babes and set up only a few minutes late, which as I had DD1 with me to get out the house as well as DD2.

I'm not sure whether it was inspired or insane to say I would run the sessions with a newborn!

DD1 is now eating lunch and DD2 is in the pram chatting and hiccuping, to start belowing any second to be picked up!

My 6 year wedding Anniversary tomorrow!!

Praise God for the fact that I still have the most amazing best friend who I love dearly.

Hannah is now helping me type

roseylea · 16/02/2007 13:29

weirdbird - IME there's a very fine line between inspired and insane!

Milliways · 16/02/2007 19:30

Hello! The wobbles are setting in here as I now have only one week left at work, and then become a "New Girl" again!!

Have started having weird dreams about turning up in odd clothes etc etc - classic nerves! Please pray that I will leave present job in good spirits & make a real good effort with a new career.

DH is still waiting to hear if he has a firm offer of a new job. If so, he may be able to get redundancy from his firm which would be fab if we can get the timing right.

On a good note - I pick up my new(ish) car tomorrow

Well done on 6 years Weirdbird!

Praying for all you MNers out there.

weirdbird · 16/02/2007 21:16

Marscentio · 17/02/2007 08:17

Hi all. Me again (Mars)

I have a client that's going into labour. Please pray that my other client stays put for the next couple of days. Thank you.

sleepysooz · 17/02/2007 10:15

nqstm - yip, time to up my fitness level! (ouch)
CD - hope everything is ok in dippyland
WB - happy anniversary
Mars - didn't recognise the name change, hia hope you are ok, good luck with the births!
Footprints - hope the move is going ok, my prayers are with you!
LWTG - hope you are ok and that everything went ok with your family counselling, we could do with a bit of that, my ds 11yo behaviour is bad enough to make the pope lose it, how is the depression, I hope its on an even par atm!

Twins sleeping is still absolutely fab! God is good! Thank you lord for giving me the strength to deal with it!

CaptainDippy · 17/02/2007 11:49

Morning all! Thank you so much for your messages and concern, always means so much to me - Your prayers are appreciated too! Absolutely manic in DippyLand - Sooooo much to doooo. Friend who stayed for half-term went home yesterday so finally have time to post - Hurrah! Was lovely to have her around though.....

Feeling a bit better health-wise atm, hoping the iron tabs are kicking in now, haven't had any more sick and dizzy bouts, but am constipated (Sorry - TMI! ) DH and I are REALLY struggling atm - arguing all the time, I am actually thinking about asking him to go and stay elsewhere for a couple of days while I try and straighten my head. No amount of talking to him seems to be getting anywhere. I just can't see what I can do to help the situation - Just feeling so and about the whole thing- Feeling like I am banging my head against a brick wall - The more I try to talk, the worse it gets. Prayers needed BIG TIME. Do you think I should ask him to leave for a wee while?

Awwww, footprints, DH not joining you til June - that is tough for you honey (feel v.ironic typing that atm, but my DH is fab with the girls) Praying for you and looking forward to "seeing" you when you are more settled and sorted - Do pop on and update when you can!

lwtg - How did the family counselling session go? Continuing to pray ... [hugs]

Sooz - Well Done! on the Karate grading, great stuff! Glad the twins are cont to sleep!

WB - Happy Wedding Anniversary!! Hope you have a special day, any plans??

Milliways - Oooooh, one more week to go - praying for you and for DH as waits on another job - Hope the new car is fab!!

Mars - Has your client had her bubba yet???? Praying it all went well and the other lady "held in there"!!

Best go - NCT Pancake Party this a/n, lots to organise.....

Hello to Mary, NQSTM and anyone else who my sieve-like brain has forgotten!

OP posts:
mufti · 17/02/2007 15:20

oh, cd . i don't normally give advice like this. but you do say dh is so good with the girls. so i won't advise, just say try and look at the bigger picture?
i had terrible anaemia when i was pg, i know how draining it is, and with 2 already , you are doing so well. i could at least sleep whenever i wanted.
your hormones are probably a bit excited at the mo', is there anyone who would sit and talk with you both together , a friend ?, as family
are not objective.

roseylea · 17/02/2007 15:55

CD I want to echo what Mufti has said. I can't help wondering if you ask your dh to move out for a few days it might make him feel that you are pushing him away...

Have you got any relatives or friends who could look after your girls for a night (ideally) or just a few hours, then go out with your dh into the countryside or beach or something and just get out of the house on your own togehter? I understand that might not be practical, but it might be worth trying for...

Also...how about trying to write a letter to your dh, not at all with the intention of giving it to him but to clarify in your own mind everything you would like to be able to say to him. That might just help in the heat of the moment to take a step back (sorry, appalling mixed metaphors there!)rather than reacting to what he says to you. If he could do the same for you even better.

How many weeks are you now btw?

Well I have made the most outrageously high-calorie cheesecake for a church lunch tomorrow. It has amongst the ingredients (drum roll) marscapone cheese, cream cheese (full fat), double cream, sugar, butter, biscuits...! (and oranges and it's going to have grapes on top, to make it healthy! )

If anyone could pray, I'm a bit concerned about this

CaptainDippy · 17/02/2007 18:08

Thanks guys - Thinking that DH and I do definitely need to take some "time out" together, iykwim. Writing a letter is a great idea too - just wish I had more time and energy to deal with all of this. Things have been better this afternoon ..... Pancake Party was a great laugh - DD1 really didn't get the idea of tackling an obstacle course while holding a lemon (one of the games / races) - I told her to run through the ball pit and promptly threw the lemon into it and ran back to the beginning - Halarious!! Lucky I am not a bit competative! Did a pancake tossing race against another member of the NCT committee who is preggers (she's is due on March 7th but same size as me!!) Everyone was absolutely wetting themselves watching us trying to run (waddle), flip pancakes and hold our uterus' in all at the same time - Must try and post a photo - really was a classic moment!! DD2 was sooooo cute when they sang sleeping bunnies at song time - can't BELIEVE she won't be "my baby" for my much longer ......

Sob.

So that was good (yours prayers worked! ); but things are just tough and it all gets on top of me and I just get angry and cross and unable to cope. Grrrrr! Keep praying - bear with me .....

Oh Rosey - Praying for your poor wee DD, keep us posted. Poor wee thing. You must be v.worried. [[hugs]

We have come up with another girl's name - still loving Phoebe; but now "into" Florence - opinions welcomed ....

Oh, I am now 30 weeks - eeeeek!!!

OP posts:
mufti · 17/02/2007 18:18

ah, is it a girl cd?
florence , good name my dear loved granny was ada florence lena
you are sounding more positive

mumtogusnalbie · 17/02/2007 19:28

CD - your pancake party sounds like it went down really well - well done!
I love the name Florence. I like older names and had the name "Nelly" earmarked for a girl! Really sorry to hear that you and DH are having problems. Being pregnant is hard enough and add in other small children, its no surprise that your relationship is strained. Hang on in there, everyone is praying for you.

Rosey - really sory your little girl is having trouble at school. She must be about the same age as my DS1 as he started school in january also. children can really be so cruel sometimes, probably without really realising. Try and speak to the teacher as I think this will help you to understand the situation a bit more. I find it really difficult to deal with the fact that my son spends so much time away from me doing things that I only know about if he wants to tell me - I normally just get "I can't remember" if I ask him about his day at school! I am praying for you and hope your DD settles back in to school next week.

Sleepysooz - glad your twins are sleeping well and hope you manage to cope with 11 yo behaviour. Praying for you too.

Milliways - hello! Good luck in your last week at work and prayers for you as you start preparing for your new role. BTW hows the new(ish) car?

and hello to every else I haven't mentioned.

My husband came round this afternoon and was a great help entertaining the boys while I cooked tea etc. Still don't know if we have a future though after his drinking over the last week. Please pray for me and ask God to guide me.

CaptainDippy · 17/02/2007 23:45

We don't know the sex mufti - We like the surprise!! We've already got 2 girlies, so just being prepared - We have Arthur picked out for a boy!

Continuing to pray for you and your DH and your family MTGAA - [[hugs] Glad he is stil coming round to help and to see his boys.

Just finished SIL's Wedding Invites (hurrah!), so off to bed. .....
