Hello all

Tis a beautiful day here in Sheffield too. We are having a small group walk later, glad it is a clear day.

Glad to hear you are so happy CCM! is great to hear your enthusiasm!

Rosey - praying you have a good weekend with the DC without DH. I dislike weekends without DH, or even nights when he is not in before the children are in bed - we are a double act too, am so used to having him around for bedtime routine!

Anyway praying for you all

xx

roseylea · 03/02/2007 15:17

N3 just noticed you on the other thread and wanted to tell you...

THe other night after youposted about having to leave your home I woke up in the night praying very fervently for you and your family in my sleep - (if that doesn't sound too odd). I just felt that you and your family needed the surrounding protection of God at this time. Since then you've been in my prayers a lot.

JUst wanted to tell you. Hope you are okay.

footprints · 03/02/2007 15:52

Hi everyone! I haven't been around for a while, but wanted to tell you all that God has been amazingly good and wonderful to me over the past couple of months! In December I was offered a job and I will start in 2 weeks time on February 19th. It means I get to move away from the tiny, alpine village where I live and actually live in a city again. We thought it would be really hard to find an apartment etc, but God made it easy for us and we have a wonderful apartment and also easily found childcare for my dd.

I will be moving down alone initially, as my dh has to teach until the end of the school year, so it will be quite a challenge and hard on my dd - so much change for her.

But I am so pleased to be moving and starting work again after 3 years as a SAHM. I hope that being surrounded by people, friends and life again will help me with the terrible depression and anxiety I have suffered since the birth of my dd (PND?) and if not, at least I will be in a place where i can get the help I need!

Please can you pray for me as I move and start work, and for my dd (2.75yo) who will be facing such big changes in her life.

CaptainDippy · 03/02/2007 19:35

How has today been Rosey? Praying for you ....DH and I are a "double act" too - so lots of [hugs]] and sympathy sweetie - Hope you hsve a wonderful and blessed time together!!

@ Fellow Captain - God is good - Halleujah!!

Footprints - Praise God for His goodness to you as a family - Thank you for the update - Sooooo good to "see" you again honey! Wonderful news about new job, house, chilcare being sorted - Praying for you all as you enter this difficiult stage of transition, I am sure it will all be worth it - Keep us updated!

How is everyone else doing??

OP posts:
nearlythree · 03/02/2007 19:39

Rosey - I don't know what to say but am profoundly moved - it is so obvious that the Spirit is with you strongly. Thank you for your prayers, it's a very complicated situation but at least in part they have been answered. I will e-mail you. xxx

longwaytogoandabitfurther · 03/02/2007 21:45

well hello everyone, been working my way through the threads. Hve had internet probs at a time when I could do with access more than anything else.

dh is still here because we can't afford for him to move out.

Not a clue if this will ever work out but hey ho

pepperrabbit · 03/02/2007 22:45

Hello everyone, can I sneak in and ask for prayers for my best friend. Her DH was in a terrible crash on wed and is fighting for his life. They have 3 small children and i know her faith is being tested at this terrible time. She has asked us all to pray for him, but she needs our support just as much.
Thank you

roseylea · 04/02/2007 09:36

Hi Pepperrabbit, of course I will pray for your friend. What an awful thing. I worry about something happening to my dh...

Hi LWTG! good to see you again! Hope you are okay. If you want to chat on BBRU I'd love to hear more about how you are doing.

Mary are you any better? How's dd?

CCM soooooo good to have you on this thread! Your enthusiasm and bounciness are so uplifting!

Hi Panda! [waves up to Sheffield] Which church do you go to (if you don't mind me asking - if you'd prefer to reamin more anonymous I understand fully!) It's just that some friends ofours used to go to St Thomas, Crookes - that's in Sheffield, isn't it?

Hi Footprints! So glad that things are falling into place for you. It gives me hope that things will fall into place for us too!

How are you today CD? I said ages ago that I'd tyr and link you to some good sites re. nutrition - well this one - \link{http://www.thefooddoctor.com/\fooddoctor] - I have used to help with Crohns symptoms and also while I was pg and there's a lot of good common sense advice there. They also sell products now but you don't need to buy them in order to get the good advice!

Well I am fne - dd has tonsilitis and impetigo but is still bouncing around as full of life as ever (she is remarkably resilient)...

Anyway I am mid-dying my hair! and the time has come to go and rinse the colour off! It's a surprise for h when he gets back from Prague!!!

I wanted to say so I'll post again later. See yas!

roseylea · 04/02/2007 09:46

I'll try that link again...

try again!

CaptainDippy · 04/02/2007 12:33

Happy Sunday all! Went for a lovely breakfast at church today - girl's were surprisingly good & actually had a reasonably nice time, rather than the usual stress these sort of occasions seem to bring.....DD's both sleeping now - Hurrah, so catching up on stuff. Going to start on DD1's Birthday Invites next (she is 3 on 25th!!!! Can't believe it!!)

Continuing to pray for you N3 - I am glad ou feel stuff has been "part answered" sweetie - You and your family are so precious.

Pepperrabbit - So and for your BF. She must be torn in two right now - My heart aches for her and her three small little ones. Please Lord, Save her DH's life. Save his life Lord - Praying he keeps fighting. They have so much to loose. I am devestated for them. Please keep us updated. Was anyone else involved in the crash??

Rosey - Thank you for the link - will deffo have proper look at the site when I have proper spare moments!! You are fab!! How did the dyeing go? Hope you like! Praying your bouncey little DD recovers soon! (My DD2 is bit like that, nothing gets her down...)

lwtg - Hon, continuing to pray for you and DH - Glad that he is still there. It is worth fighting for! [hugs] You know where we are .....

Right, best get on with these invitations....

longwaytogoandabitfurther · 04/02/2007 20:44

Can you please pray for a Salvation Army officer couple in Equador who's 19 yr old dd has been kidnapped.

CaptainDippy · 04/02/2007 21:30

Will do lwtg - How awful. How frightening. Please keep us posted.....

Going to bed with hot chocolate and marshmallows!

Anyone else want one while I'm there??

OP posts:
MaryBS · 05/02/2007 08:00

I don't know, these preggo women that think they can eat anything! You enjoy it!

LWTG - praying for that girl who's been kidnapped. Unfortunately in places like Ecuador, that sort of thing is commonplace. If its any comfort, these kidnappings are generally "professional", and with that in mind I pray she will be released soon.

Pepperrabbit - how is your friend's DH? Praying for them all...

Will try to catch up later... things so busy atm, and I'm still not with it... need some sleep!

PandaG · 05/02/2007 10:57

Morning all

Hi Footprints - good to see you Will pray for your circumstances - so glad to hear that you have a job that takes you out ot the city. Praying that you cope as your DH is away.

Mary - praying that you soon feel completely better.

I've got DD home poorly today - sickness bug. She is having a duvet day. Sure she will be ok later.

How was the hot choc CD?

Rosey - yes St Tom's is Sheffield. email me on pandag @ safe - mail dot net, see if I know your friends - I do know quite a few people there.

worzella · 05/02/2007 14:02

Hi All, I'm back in the land of mumsnet after having an enforced ( by me!) break whilst I ploughed through 600 a level exam papers Agghhhh... but they are finished and in the post now.

PandaG - hope DD is feeling OK - maybe it's all the swimming pool water that she drank! Have just left you a message on your phone BTW but thought you might check MN more often!!

Praying for all situations, especially N3 and LWTG

Fannieannie - how'd the work situation?

Our minister is much better and was in church on Sunday - he's not up to full strength yet but he's is so much better.

No real prayer issues for us - DS2 sleeping is much better although he's still a bit hit and miss on food.

Thanks CD for the new thread

pepperrabbit · 05/02/2007 14:03

Hello, thanks for your thoughts and prayers, my friends DH was still critical yesterday morning but had got through the night, but I cannot reach her today or yesterday evening so I am terribly worried now. He was alone in the car, and no-one else involved so we may never know what happened. I just pray he makes it through this, and for her to have the strength to carry on whichever way it goes.

footprints · 05/02/2007 14:12

Pepperrabbit - praying for your friend, what a tragic situation.

Praying for everyone especially those feeling low at the moment

I am getting VERY nervous about moving. Thank you so much for all your prayers.

worzella · 05/02/2007 14:12

praying hard pepperrabbit

PandaG · 05/02/2007 14:28

Praying pepperrabbit, and N3

sleepychunky · 05/02/2007 15:15

Hello, can I join you? I would really appreciate your prayers for me and DH. I am pregnant with our first baby (due in June) and although everything is going well, I am feeling really scared about how much our lives are going to change. I don't know anyone pg irl so I haven't got anyone to talk to about my feelings. The last couple of weeks have been quite hard for me and I've been getting very emotional for no particular reason. I'm hoping it's just the pg hormones and not antenatal depression, but I cried at church last week and the vicar rang me up on Friday to see how I was (which in a church with 400 on a Sunday morning just shows how bad I must have been).
I would greatly appreciate your prayers that I will start to get more excited about the baby's arrival.

Thank you everyone
SC

PandaG · 05/02/2007 15:20

Hi Sleepychunky pleased to meet you. Of course you can join us. Will pray for you. Have you joined the due in June thread on here? Then you can share experiences. Captain Dippy is pregnant, she is due in May or June.

I am glad that your vicar noticed and phoned you to check how you were. Hoping we will be able to give you some support here too

nearlythree · 05/02/2007 20:13

Big thanks to everyone for your prayers. The situation hasn't changed greatly and we still need protection but I feel much stronger. Best of all dh and I are communicating for the first time in months - it's like I have my old dh back.

Praying pepperrabbit and lwtg.

Footprints - praying that God's love will circle you and dd.

Sleepychunky, are you getting enough rest, sweetheart? When you are hormonal being tired just makes things a million times worse.

CaptainCaveman · 05/02/2007 20:24

Hello and good evening

Praying hard for pepperrabits friend's dh, please God give their family strength and support at such a difficult time.

SC, glad to have you join our lovely fellowship! A few of us have felt like you did during pg (in fact I thought I was insane!) but as long as you keep talking about it, and let your midwife know how you're feeling, it will all work out to God's plan in the end. Praying for peace of mind for you, and a healthy happy pg.

Well I'm not having much luck with my hockey injuries! After the smash in the foot 2 weeks ago, I got hit on the back of the head by a flying ball on saturday! Ouch. Big lump but no loss of consciousness. Glad I turned round though otherwise my face would have been a mess!!

Prayers still needed for dsis. She looks so ill, very thin (used to be about 4 stone heavier), and seems to have no grip on her finances which is worrying her to bits. I must look up how to help alcoholics - she is my dsis but her disease makes her deceitful and I worry the devil has got a strong grip on her. I pray God that you will surround her with your love and turn her away from the devil and into your arms. Amen.

All remains jolly in the Caveman household, little Cavey is sleeping and dh is ensconsed on the sofa whilst I play on mn! Thank You God for blessing my life and for the simplicity I am currently enjoying

CaptainDippy · 05/02/2007 20:51

Evening all!

DD's STILL getting up WAAAAY too early atm so aboslutely knackered and off to bed soon - Please pray their health, sleep and going to bed improves, starting to get me down a little .....

I continue to pray for your DSis, Fellow Captain - Thank you for the update. Alcholism does make you decietful, I am afraid. Makes you lots of things too. Praying she takes the help that is offered to her and gets out of this hole asap. How is her DD? Praying hard.... Glad you are though!!

How was your DD this evening Panda? Better, I hope!

Hi Worzella - Good to "see" you again! @ 600 'A' Levels papers!! Glad it is over now! Glad DS1 is sleeping better, praying for food isues - plenty of them here, so every sympathy!

Pepperrabbit - Continuing to pray for your friend and her DH - Do post when you have more news. Glad he was still with us this morning.....

Welcome SleepyChunky - GREAT to have you on onbard sweetie. Praying for you and your DH as you wade through anxieties concerning new bubba etc - I can completely sympathise with the feelings you describe hon - Felt v.similar when I was expecting my 1st; but couldn't imagine life without my gorgeous DC's now - They are hard work, but a huge blessing - they will enrich yours and DH's relationship soooooo much if you'll just let 'em!! Do stick with us and join the June Antenatal Thread if you haven't already - One of our regular posters on here, fannyannie, is due in June. I am due April 26th with my third! Could I also suggest signing up for your local NCT Antenatal Classes - great way to meet other preggos!

Praying for protection over you and your family N3 - Good to hear from you! - that you and DH are back on track - wonderful stuff!

Must go to bed before my brain explodes ......

Hi Mary!!
