Hi everyone,

Thank you for your lovely messages since I posted yesterday:

PandaG - I'm on the due in June thread so trying to keep up with everything there. I only have internet access at work so can't spend too long reading everything.

nearlythree - thank you, I'm trying to get rest but I'm not sleeping very well and DH has recently started snoring really badly which disturbs me. I'm still working and commuting to London every day but not getting a seat on the train, which means standing up for an hour. I have a really bad back at the moment which doesn't help things.

CaptainCaveman - thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's felt like this I will mention this to the midwife at my next appointment in a couple of weeks time. I am feeling a bit better but I have off days just like everyone else.

Captain Dippy - thank you too I haven't "met" fannyannie yet but hope to soon. Pray that all is going well with you. I wish I were due in April so I don't have to wait so long to meet my baby!

Just a general message - what a wonderful welcome I've had from you all. It really is wonderful to see how the internet can spread God's love to people who never meet in real life, and probably never will. The power of prayer

CaptainDippy · 06/02/2007 10:34

Heeeeeeeeello!

They slept! They slept! They slept!

DD's went to bed no problem last night and slept til 7am - Hurrah! Having them wake up sooooooo early the past week or so has been killing me, so am v.pleased this morning! Yey! They have been in wonderful moods this morning as a result, which has been so nice. DD1 is now at Pre-School and DD2 is napping after sitting nicely on my lap watching Come Outside and giving my gorgeous kisses! Long may it continue..... Thank you soooooo much for all your prayers - keep them coming, especially as DH and I are goig out tonight to a Marraige Course run by a local church - Thinking it will be good for us - Marraige definitely needing a bit of TLC right now!

How is everyone else today? I felt soooo sick when I woke up this morning, but seems to have eased off a little now, which is good. Working this afternoon .....

Thank you for your positve thoughts lwtg - Is a such a nice thought to think that this thread has touched lives and seen asnwers to prayer - I should hope so! Here's to another year ......

Hello again SleepyChunky - I wish my baby was due in June - they are less trouble when they are safely tucked up inside, trust me!!!! Perhaps we could swap!!? Sorry you are finding things tough and uncomfortable though - esp with the commute - You should demand a seat - you are entitled!! When do you start ML?

Actually, as many of us as poss are hoping to meet up in July (7th) in Oxford - You and your wee one (and DH!!) would be more than welcome - I'll post a link in a mo.....

Thanks for the link Dippy - it's actually my 30th birthday on 6th July and I have been told by DH to keep 7th free for something special. I would have loved to come though as I was at uni at Oxford and haven't been for ages. Bearing in mind I'll have a 3-week old baby I'm not quite sure what he's planning but I hope he's taken into account the fact that I won't want to leave tiny one with anybody for very long.

Great news that everyone slept last night and will be praying for you tonight.

SC

CaptainDippy · 06/02/2007 11:57

That's a shame honey. It's my birthday on the 12th and another lovely lady, Peachy's on the 7th so I am hoping we'll be having a HUGE cake and jelly and ice-cream to celebrate - (Obviuosly, the Bouncey Castle is also for us .....) OOOh, I do hope your DH has something lovely planned for you and that he has placed a wee one into the equation - You might want to remind him a few times beforehand, you know what these men are like!!!

Ooooooh, you went to Uni at Oxford ..... reeeeeally ... how posh!!

Feeling a bit sick and dizzy. Obviously need to go and hoover cake ......

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. Very sadly my friend's husband died last night after a valiant fight. My friend and his parents were there, his father is a vicar so he had a lot of spiritual support at the end. At least he is at peace now, but she needs our prayers more than ever now as she faces a very different life to that which she had only last week.
Their children are 8, 5 & 18 months.
Sorry to have been so self focused, I have read and prayed for all those on this thread.
x

PandaG · 06/02/2007 13:45

Continuing to pray Pepperrabbit {sad]

footprints · 06/02/2007 13:45

MaryBS · 06/02/2007 16:11

Pepperrabbit - praying for your friend and her family. How awful

CaptainCaveman · 06/02/2007 20:44

oh my goodness pepperrabbit, your poor friend, and poor you too as you obviously knew him . Very nice to hear that he and his family had spiritual comfort. When it feels appropriate please do let your friend know that she has our continued prayer support. Oh how very very sad for your friend and her family.

Could you please say a little prayer for me as I start to reduce my dose of citalopram? Dropped from 30 to 20 mg just before new year, and this week am dropping from 20 to 10. Praying I don't get any panic attacks as I come off them!! (no thanks!)

nearlythree · 06/02/2007 21:04

pepperrabbit, how terrible for you friend and her little ones, and for you. Praying for them and you.

Captaincaveman, hope all goes well for you.

sleepychunky at you not getting a seat. Can you not get signed off work for a wee while? I know how shattering it is esp. with a bad back. And remember, God gives us spare rooms and sofas for snoring dhs...

belgianmama · 06/02/2007 21:40

Hi, I've never posted on this thread before again, but I really would appreciate it if you could pray for my friend. She has been trying to conceive a DC2 for a year now and has suffered 2 miscarriages in that time. She is one of the kindest people I know and really deserves another baby. A lot of her friends are having babies and although she doesn't show it, it must be getting harder and harder for her to see all these new babies.
Oh and very sad to hear about pepperrabit's friend. I'll keep her in mind.

Notquitesotiredmum · 07/02/2007 10:55

MaryBS · 07/02/2007 21:04

Just a flying visit from me. I had to come home from work today. DS was sick at school

He's been miserable and crying ever since, except when he was sleeping. Plus he's had a high temp. Please God we have a restful night. He's not very happy...

I bought a copy of "The Message" the other day. The translation of Paul's letters are really quite something! I was going to post a bit from Philippians, but I'll have to leave that for another day... really made me chuckle when I read it!

God bless all! x

CaptainDippy · 07/02/2007 22:09

Neither do I buggybrolley!

Hi Mary! How are you feeling? Sorry DS is not so well again - do you think it is still connected to the tonsilitis?? Praying he has a decent enough night's sleep (and that you all do!!) and feels a bit better in the morning!

Off to bed now, so "see" you all tomorrow! Night, night - God Bless. xx

Good morning all

Prayers for a return to health in your household Mary. (Tell him that Pizza is a good cure for sickness! )

Could I ask for prayers for ds1, for courage in coping with a tricky situation at school, and for wisdom for me to reassure and guide him please?
