September Already!!? MN Christian Prayer Request Thread Take 6!!

Hello one and all!

September already!!? (Well nearly ....) Good grief!? Where does the time go????

Here's a brief summary of August's Prayer Requests.........

katzg - Desperately looking for a new job, has been having interviews - so hopefully something will come up soon please God!!? Contract for current job has been extended to Oct 31st. PiccadillyCircus - Has a difficult decision to make - would like prayer for strength to make the right decision.

MaryBS - On-going prayers as she has commenced her Reader training. Prayers for motivation in her studies etc Prayers for her relationship with her mother. Her 1st sermon is on Oct 1st. Prayer requests for a 15 year old boy who died of a suspected asthma-attack on youth pilgrimage this summer and for non-Christian lady she knows who has been to see a Specialist about a lump in her breast (do we have any more on that Mary??) On-going prayers for DH's nephew who is having a very rough time with his parents who adopted him and are not sure whether they would like to keep him or not etc. Finally, praise and prayers for bro and SIL who have been approved for the adoption of two little girls!! Praying the adoption goes smoothly and that God blesses them as parants and as a family.

Catj - DD4 has been very poorly, last we heard she was on the ward and still fighting (11th Aug). God Bless you little one!

Xavielli - Got engaged!! Prayers as she starts to make marraige preparations for next July. Has been feeling very down receently - needs lots of [hugs] and prayers. Lots and lots going on in her life - stresses with young children and untidy house, DP's bro staying and slight computer game addiction which is being dealt with atm. Also prayers for friend's mum who has cancer which has spread.

Nanou1 - Prayers for cousin's children who are coping with their parents' divorce. Prayers for her swollen tummy, which has bee causing her a lot of discomfort. Lots of prayers for DH who is trying to find a new job. He had a job interview yesterday (30th Aug), which he thought went well - pray he gets a 2nd interview. Sorting out the house after burglary while they were away on holiday.

NASWM - Has been really struggling recently - very low. Lots of [hugs] and prayers her way.

longwaytogo - Prayers for her nan who has a wound on her arm which is not healing. Praying lots for the "ghosts of the past" to be completely over-come by God's love and care for her and her special family!!

Podmog - Has 20 week scan today (31st Aug) - worried about it - prayers it goes really well and all is fine with LO. Also prayers for doctors / nurses / midwifves etc reaction to current NHS "over-weight" issues! On-going prayers for difficult situation at church involving one couple. Praise God that DS is sleeping better - praying that Podmog gets lots and lots of nice sleep too!

Twiga - DH's Uncle died - Prayers for family and friends and they deal with grief - Praise for the good life he had! Praise God for fantastic Holiday Club Twiga has been involved with - prayers for those children as they go off back to "normalilty" - praying that they stuff they have learned will stick with them all their days!! Praying for her driving lessons and for her DH who is studying for exams. Prayers for friend who lost a baby at 16 weeks and would be due around now. Pray that Twiga would know best how to support her.

Yorkiegirl - Her DH Nigel died while on holiday with them this Aug. Prayers that they would be so strong as a family and that God would be so very close to them at this time. Praying so much for them all as they cope. [hugs] and love. xxxx

MarsLady - Prayers for mouse problem in her house! Prayers for her as she completes her Doula training and tackles her OU essays - praying she'll remain as unstressed as poss and sail through!! Prayers for finances as a family as studies come to an end etc. Praise that her friend Dave is going from strength to strength (has been back at work a little!) Prayers for friend (Simon) who has been in a medically induced coma - they were due to try and wake him up soon - prayers it went ok and the damage is not too much. (How is he???) Also prayers for "J" whose DH has just told her their marriage is over, they have a 2.6 yr old.

weirdbird - WELCOME!! Lots and lots of prayers needed for weirdbird's little unborn babe. She has been having contractions and is so scared little one is going to come before he/she is ready. She is nearly 24 weeks, which is the point at which they can intervene (Praise God!!) Pray that LO stays in long enough to be ok!!

NotQuiteSoTiredMum - Popped in! DS2's excema is much better - Praise God! Doing ok in her household!

moretenaanyone - Prayers for friend who has died. He was in his 30's and he leaves behind a widow in her 20's.

tjacksonpfc - Her DP died of bowel cancer earlier this year and she is missing him so much. She has two very young daughters and is struggling. Strength and love to them all. xxxx

AngelJay - WELCOME!!!

Sleepysooz - WELCOME!! Prayers as she puts her twins in the same bedroom to sleep on their own for the first time! Eeeek!

Tawny75 - Prayers as she goes for an appointment with her consultant about her eyes this morning (31st) Please let us know how it went and what he/she said!

SaggarMakersBottomKnocker - Prayers for friend of her DD who has died following an incident with an air rifle.

Sharpe2626 - Prayers for her sister and BIL as they deal with the still birth of their little girl a couple of weeks ago. xxxx

IdristheDragon - Prayers for friend's wife's dad. He has bowel cancer and has recently had an operation (25th Aug) Any more on this Idris??

PandaG - Prayers for a horrid stye she has on her eye! [hugs]

SoLucky - Lots and lots of prayers as she makes the terible decision about what to do about the twins she is carrying. One twin is fine and healthy, but the other has suspected Edward's Syndrome. So much strength and love to that family. xxxx

nailpolish - Prayers for as she is coming out of the otherside of a very difficult decision and situation.

footprint - Still feeling very low, anxious and depressed. Strength and Love to you honey!! xxxx

CaptainDippy - Praise God!! for her pregnancy (due end of April next year) and that things are actually happening with regards to buying her own house!! God is good!! Praying that the ideal house would come along and that the sale would progress quickly and smoothly!! (Is this asking too much!!!!!?) Prayers as she approaches driving test date. Prayers for relationship with PIL, especially MIL who is driving her completely mad atm!!!!! That's all for now!!

Ooooh that reminds me! My friends mum had chemo and they got the results the other day! It hasnt spread to her liver. The chemo also half the thickness and reduced the area by a third!! Wooooohooooooo! GOD IS GOOD!

Popping in again! Well done for getting another summary done CD and many many congratulations on your lovely news.

We're all OK again after a hiccough on the excema last week. Ooops! Guess I thanked you all and got ds2 off the prayer list too soon.

Would appreciate prayers for me at the moment. I seem to have got bogged down in everyday fun and stresses through the holiday period, with my two little tigers at home all the time, and feel very very dry spiritually. Prayers that I can get the right priorities back in life please.

Grrrr @ DS' excema making a bit of a comeback NQSTM - bloomin' devil - continuing to pray for him - and for you too - praying God will shower some love 'n' stuff on your - to quench your thirst and get rid of all this 'dryness' - know exactly how you feel and expect loads of mums / dads on here do too - hard to concentrate on anything else when you've got little ones keeping you busy every second of every day!! [hugs]]

Will be praying for your DS Bethron, poor wee mite, sounds like he and you are having a hard time of it. Really hoping he loves his special needs nursery and that it provides a welcome break for you - so you feel happier and more positive when he is at home. Hi all, saw the consultant this morning and they are putting my problems down to my thyroid for the time being. I have been prescribed a short course of very high dosage steroids, hopefull they will brimg the swelling down. If not it looks like I may have to have some sort of surgery behind my eyes.

I see the thyroid sepcialist tomorrow, so maybe I will get some more answers then. Blimey I sound like a walking medical disaster!

Thank you all for the prayers, it means so much to know that people are praying for you. And it is so powerful.

I was a few months ago (when the last thread was started lol!) but atm I am not too bad. 1BH, my main prayer requests right now are for DS1 who starts school next week and for a few other worrying personal issues which I cant really go in to on here just now. Feeling a teeny bit better today, still a bit wobbly and hormonal - finding DD's hard to cope with, feeling a bit inadequate and rubbish and still @ MIL - "I think you should get a "Mother's Help"" - Argh!!! Like we oculd afford it - and what is wrong with getting help from YOU!??? Argh!!! Driving me insane .....

Okay, this morning's updates.... no blooming baby yet (I tell you my study is going to pot...sob!)

Simon... The hospital brought him back, he squeezed his wife's hand but no flick of emotion etc in his eyes. Temp v high, started shaking they had to put him back under and he needs to stay on a ventilator. Wife very low. So please continue to pray.

Dave... Doing well has another round of tests in Sept (can't remember the date will let you know). Very important that these all come back with good results. His beard is beginning to grow but not the hair on top of his head lol. He's done a few days work. So keep praying that he moves towards the all clear.

Friend with DH that left... they are going to counselling. Don't know if he's thinking of coming back.

My work... work is coming in. Please pray that my childcare doesn't fall apart.

My studies... pray I get to go on my study day and also the revision weekend at the end of the month. My exam is October 12th.

Have got my list on the fridge and will add the updates and continue to pray.

will continue to pray MarsLady. cd... hope things get better with MIL... must be hard to have family so close and not helping... hugs your way.

The news is not good.

Simon won't come out of the coma, that is when they bring him out his temperature rockets and he has no recognition. It is not looking good.

Please pray that his wife has peace as she is in bits at the moment. Their children don't know the severity of the situation and so please pray for mum's wisdom.

I'm sorry to barge in here when I haven't been in for so long. I don't want to be one of those part-time Christians, it's mainly that my feelings go 'beyond' (if that's the right word) Christianity at the moment so I have been a bit confused. I have been doing an Alpha course though which has helped and praying a lot lately not just because of what I'm saying below, but before that.

Thing is, I really need all on Mumsnet who pray right now.. and I really don't mind what they call themselves

My Mum-in-law is dying. She had a brain haemorrahage a week ago, spent a few days on the high dependency unit, semi-conscious some of the time and said a few words to us and then on Tuesday she had another bleed and they told us she could not survive and would die within a couple of hours. But she is still 'here' even though her body is slowly shutting down. I have a strong feeling she is afraid to go even tho medically this probably makes not much sense as the part of her brain that would allow her to think these.. or any.. thoughts is damaged beyond repair. But she always said she was afraid of dying and leaving all her family esp. her grandchildren. And she has been the mainstay of the family... very much loved and respected by all her large family and everyone who knows her, and has spent her later life mostly in her kitchen cooking lovely creations for everyone and advising us all about things. She was doing this until last Thurs night! She is only 66

My DH is being so strong. I have come back down south with the kids (where we live.. they are up north) because I felt I needed to get the kids out of the MIL and FIL's house where we were staying as they were being noisy and, well just kids really. And DS2 doesn't sleep when away so nobody else could rest when they were not doing their bedside vigil at the hospital.

DH does not have much in the way of spiritual beliefs but I suggested this morning that he tell her it's ok to go.. that we will all be ok and not to be afraid. He has done this. She is getting worse, her breathing is awful and she she has lots of horrible symptoms of dying that the DH, his dad, sisters and brother are all sitting there watching. She would hate that; she had so much dignity.

So am praying that she passes quickly. They expected her to go within 2 hours of her oxygen being removed on Tues night. She has no drugs, no intervention but pain relief.. but she's still here.

Will you help me pray that she passes soon, if this is the right thing to do? And I think it is.
