longwaytogo - thank you for concern, yes its a full brace, he has an overbite that will break brace, but he's a true boy, bites everything and doesn't cut food up, which he has got to do, he just thinks its babyish, I have reversed his thinking to making him feel more grown up (slob that he is - in the nicest way of course)

So he is just shy that he will show himself up at school dinnertimes being slow to eat!

I'm sure he will get used to it soon, I was just asking for a little prayer to help him along his way!

Xavielli · 04/09/2006 15:04

So about the young chap. Praying for strength for his family.

Also, Steve Irwin (the crocodile hunter) died this morning after being stung by a stingray. Praying for strength for his wife and children. Also praying that someone else comes along to make people aware of the value of wildlife.

sleepysooz · 04/09/2006 15:25

I'm in total shock re: Steve Irwin, so so sad to such a wonderful human being and his family with such young children.

Lord help his family and everyone through this terrible tragedy!

MaryBS · 04/09/2006 17:56

Nanou1, feel free to keep the book a little longer - hope you found it as uplifting as I did! I may have someone else to send it on to, rather than sending it back to me, I'll let you know... So what, what did your DH mean about reacting as a RC? I know I still have my guilt complex, it was in the nature of my upbringing to feel guilty for everything

CD - hope you're not too worn out darling... better go, dinner is boiling over!

texasrose · 04/09/2006 18:12

Hi,
thanks for the lovely welcome!
Sleepyjess, so sorry for your loss. May God's love surround all of you in such a special way. May you know the hug of your heavenly father!

Showofhands, sorry to hear about your loss too! It's always awful to hear about people who feel that they must end their lives. My brother's best friend ended his life at the age of 23 and it was gut-wrenching for us as a family, esp. as he'd spent many days and nights at our house.

Podmog, sorry to be thick but what does CAT mean?

We are in West Hertfordshire. the church thing is a bit complicated - well not really. We moved here 3 years ago and have been attending the church at the end of our road but dh really doesn't like it and feels he doesn't fit in so we want to find a place where he can be part of it all.

MOre later!
See yas!

CaptainDippy · 04/09/2006 18:18

@ Steve Irwin - wasn't a huge surprise - the guy did pride himself on being a bit of a nutter!!!! Prying for his family and for his wife and children esp. Help them through this Lord. xxxx

Well - I am still here and still sane enough!! Thank you for your prayers - have been feeling a lot less sickly this afternoon, which has been a huge help - not feeling so down - so all your prayers must be working!! Thank you so much - you are all so special.

See you later ......

MaryBS · 05/09/2006 06:40

Welcome everyone!

lwtg - praying for that poor lady and her family, must be heartbreaking for them. Will also pray for your colleagues, that they be careful and that God keeps them safe and shows them the way to him.

Please pray for an online friend, another reader in training. She and her DH have been TTC for 3 years, but nothing has happened. Her DH has gone for tests, but nothing came up. Now, in the next few weeks she'll be going for tests. They SO want a baby...

Nanou1 · 05/09/2006 10:18

CaptainDippy · 05/09/2006 10:24

Bleurgh! Feeling rough today - yuk yuk yuk!! Just catching up before I try and eat something ......

Hello nearlythree!! Of course you are welcome to join us, my dear! I think you have posted on some of our threads before or perhaps I recognise you from somewhere else?? Who knows - anyway - Hello!

Oh lwtg How awful for that poor poor patient of yours and her DP/DH - How heart-rending - praying that God would just wrap them up in His love and help them to cope and get through this. What an awful decision to have to make - "no more". xxxx Praying protection over those work collegues of yours who go to see Spiritualists - very dangerous - praying for God's help and guidance.

Hello MaryBS! How are you doing my dear? Will pray for your online friend who has been TTC for 3 years. Praying for a wee miracle to grow in her womb!! Keep us posted.

Xavielli · 05/09/2006 10:53

Hey nearlythree Seen you about in this topic for a while and know sometimes you are uncertain about faith/christianity. This is a great thread to be on to boost that. I hope you have found your "Place"

Nanou1 - I am soooooooooooooo pleased that DH has a job! PRAISE GOD! Praise him and put a stamp on it! It's DH's for good in jesus'name.

CD - Praying you feel better once you have eaten. Do you usually suffer from Morning sickness? You won't this time in Jesus' name!

CaptainDippy · 05/09/2006 11:17

Thanks you Xavielli - you are lovely! I suffered from MS for 22 weeks with DD1, only 2 weeks with DD2 and have been suffering for about a week so far this time. Yuk! Though compared to the way I felt with DD1, this is nothing, trust me!! It is just the strain of having two little one's to look after at the same time, it is veeeery hard. You are all so lovely - after all, it is my own bloomin' fault!!

OP posts:
Nanou1 · 05/09/2006 11:48

thank you xavielli . was getting so so worried about dh . and it is so good to hear him sound so cheerful!

MaryBS · 05/09/2006 12:19

Fantastic news Nanou1!!!! God is GOOD!!!

CD - hope your morning sickness isn't too tiring. I'm fine. DH is happy because he got his new car yesterday (and he's even let me drive it!). I'm thinking about putting myself on the naughty step, because I've been 'Vicar baiting' (although, I must admit, his wife thinks its funny! ). Must remember not to wind him up too much, as he has to write an assessment report on me at the end of the year!

DumbledoresGirl · 05/09/2006 12:45

Very happy for you Nanou. My husband went through 2 periods without work quite recently - one was only a matter of weeks, but the first time was for 4 months. He then took a temporary job just to have some money coming in and during that time was able to find something more secure for later. I well remember the uncertainty and worry that surrounded us at that time. I hope things work out for him where he is.

katzg · 05/09/2006 12:54

How can we be on the Sept thread already and with 60+ posts ahhhhhh.

Good news and worrying news on the katz front

Good - I got a new job - yeah! same place, same people, slightly different job, 2 year contract, i start 1st Nov.

Worrying news - we have been recalled to the Children's hospital with DD's rash, so we're a little stressed about it.

prayers all round and i will try to catch up but will probably read the summary and then start afresh!

IdrisTheDragon · 05/09/2006 13:24

Thank you all for the prayers for my friend's wife's dad. I think the op he has had was to classify the cancer - it has now been classified as stage 2 (I think) but anyway it should be able to be treated with another operation he's having next Tuesday.

Hopefully he won't need radiotherapy afterwards, but he may do.

PandaG · 05/09/2006 13:38

Hi all' and hello again Nearly3 - good to see you

So glad about jobs Nanou and Katz - great news from both of you - praying that your DH settles quickly Nanou - praying for yr DD Katz.

Praying for the sickness CD - I had 6 wks off work with DS - morning sickness is such a misnomer - prayting it is only a brief stint this time.

LOngway - will pray for that poor couple, just can't imagine how they are feeling,To answer your q re how do we keep up praying for people - well I do it as I read the thread, just a quick prayer for each thing - then I know I have done it, and then more if I remember throughout the day, or in my regular (or not as is more often the case) prayer time.

Praying also for your reader friend Mary.

HI Idris - keep us updated as to how the op goes.

love to you allxx

weirdbird · 05/09/2006 15:30

CD - If it gets bad, I tried accupuncture and it really helped!]

Am hoping to go back for treatment for water retention as now I am up and about again this last few days my ankles are vanishing rapidly

Work has gone well this weekend Thank you all for your prayers. Am trying to build up my strength again after the last 4/5 weeks of sitting on my arse resting, feel very pathetic when I need half an hours rest for every half an hour of work...

Congratulations on your new job katzg

and Nanou1 GREAT News for your DH, I hope it leads to lots more opportunities!

Please pray for my DH he is going for a promotion/new job next Tuesday, please pray that if it is the right move he will get it, but that he wont if it isn't. It would be a big change of career direction and although he is excited by the opportunity he isnt sure if it is the right thing to do.

And DD home visit from the class teacher tomorrow, all very scary
