Certainly I'm with Ruty that there is too much inequality of pay. Though I suspect we'd disagree on exactly how it happens.
The nearest I have to a political affiliation is being a "hard line economist reader", and thus think the best way to undermine it is to require that everyone's pay in any organisation be published.
Would cost very little to implement.
This would make the labour market more efficient, and at it's heart the right way to think of pay disparity is as a malfunction of the market rather than an evil plot.
I'm cynical about the role of government simply because it seems one of the worst offenders, using it's power to distort the market.
