To ask me to show me your cat

Anyone willing to share photos of their cats and tell me about them? I am very much a cat person but I have never owned one myself and I am looking to find out what different personalities breeds/colour cats have as I am very much at a time where I would like to adopt and rehome one, would love to see some of your beauties.

Come onto the Litter Tray sub forum and you will find pictures of cats to your heart’s content and lots of people keen to give advice about rehoming.

These are my cats. They are now 6 months old but I adopted them from a rescue as kittens. They are sisters and very closely bonded. No particular breed, just moggies.

I don’t think there is any evidence that colour of cat goes with personality - you’ll read all sort of stuff online but it seems like it’s just stereotype like “blondes are ditsy”. With pedigree breeds it is a bit different as they do have traits (but I’ve never owned pedigree cats so I’ll leave others to comment on that).

If you are keen on a cat with a particular personality type, your best bet is to go to a rescue and tell them what you are looking for, and to ask about adult cats (whose personalities are more settled). They can identify which cats are chilled out, or love to play, or very cuddly, or happy to be independent.

This is Claude, the little freak has bought in a mouse, tried to eat lasagne and watched me take a bath in the past 3 hours! Bloody love him!

This is Louie. He turned two yesterday! We adopted him last year after losing our darling girl cat to cancer - he is chaos in an orange coat and we love him very much.

This is Wilson. Obviously, the instructions on putting him together weren't quite right.

This is Albert. He is old now but still eats anything and everything from when he was a stray - it's been 15 years so you think he would know there will always be food by now.

This is Meadow. A 3 year old moggy. She is very independent, but loving when it suits her.🙂

I've only ever had black male cats and they've been incredibly affectionate. Black cats tend to wait longest before being rehomed so I specifically looked for one to start with

When my first one passed, he sent me this giant weirdo!
He loves belly rubs, any form of affection, you can literally poke him in the face and he will purr at you. He sleeps under the duvet wedged against me and is just a big sweetheart

A rare moment of harmony, these two spend most of their time squabbling and leaving muddy paw prints on everything including my laptop, the bath and the induction hob. Utter gits.

The black one is Richmond, he's a bitey little sod, very insecure and needy, but I still love him.
The black and white one is Jax, the illegitimate child of a ragdoll and the local tom, greedy, quiet and affectionate with the loudest purr ever.

Tolkien is 7 and little Tennyson will be 2 in March. Tolkien is a cuddle bug and little Tennyson is a highly intelligent handful.

My kitty we adopted a year ago!

This is my 2 year old Russian blue ( miss koko) we didn’t name her - we rehomed her. Anyone on this thread, please do not say the word dreamies in her presence or you’ll lose a finger. She’s actually a gorgeous loving cat, my dream cat I’d always wanted a Russian blue

Sabre, make, left and Suki, female, right! I was midwife when they were born April 18th last year. They are such little characters! Suki's like a cat/dog, she goes and gathers sticks, then runs in and drops them at my feet to throw for her. She once brought home a frozen chip, a bone (an old dried up one, god knows from what!) and a new tampon in its wrapper! Not mine! She loves a cuddle on a night in bed when I'm reading my Kindle.
Sabre's a home body and a cuddler any time you sit down, but the one that's always getting into mischief and is very naughty! He will eat anything! It was little pieces of chapatti last night! He loves cheese and onion crisps!
I'm never happier than when I have one on each knee! ❤❤❤
