To ask me to show me your cat

Anyone willing to share photos of their cats and tell me about them? I am very much a cat person but I have never owned one myself and I am looking to find out what different personalities breeds/colour cats have as I am very much at a time where I would like to adopt and rehome one, would love to see some of your beauties.

I want another cat!! 🐈‍⬛

This is Pingu. Hates most people and other cats but loves the heated throw. He's about 15 now so getting on a bit.

This is Ebony. She is 12 years old and rather feisty. We took her in as a stray when she was about 4/5 months old. She has had health issues with struvite bladder stones over the last few years and needed an operation to remove them 2 years ago. Thankfully it went well and she made a good recovery. She has had to be on a special diet since then to prevent the stones recurring,which she is not mad about,unfortunately. But it seems to have done the trick and she hasn't had a recurrence of the issue (i.e. UTIs) for nearly 13 months now. Previously she was getting a UTI every 2 or 3 months. I'm hopeful she's got a few good years in her yet! I love her to bits even though she's not what you'd call a 'cuddly cat',but she is affectionate and sleeps curled up against me every night.

Name changed for this because he is well known. This is Bob. Had to have an eye removed during the pandemic and the other one was removed about two years ago. It asked me if I wanted his pic hidden so I have because some may find a blind cat too upsetting.

Loves chips, toast, licking your head when you're asleep, terrifying Victor (cat) who's the only cat who hasn't comes to terms with Bob's disability, and being adored by everyone who meets him.

This is Fred. He lived on an allotment and had a hard life. He was even shot, and someone bit his ear off. But he lives with me now and is a gentle soul if a bit traumatised. I love him dearly

Hi, this is my 4 year old rescue moggy Herbie. We've had him 2 years now and he is quite a character. A menace to the local pigeon population, will not keep a collar on, and steals any of our food which is left unattended! Despite this, we do love him!

This is Salema, the love of my life!

She hates other cats but adores people. All she wants to do is cuddle and get tickles, she loves sitting on my knee and snoozing all evening. She follows me around and just generally shows so much love. I couldn’t imagine life without her!

He identifies as a dog.

Except when it's dinner time. The. He's definitely human.

The black and white one is Reg who is a rescue, got him at 14mnths and is 7 now. He's a sex pest (humps cushions etc) and is on a diet as he's huge. But he's so canny, loves to sit with me and has a purr like a geiger counter.
The spotted one is Mia and she's a Bengal. A former queen who is living out her retirement with me and is now 9. She's a man hater and quite aloof in general, but she is loving with me. Unlike Reg, she's really clever and is a door specialist.
I love them both.

These are Willow and Wendy. 6 year old rescued breeding queens. They have been with me about a year and a half and are now ruling the roost. Wendy is an affectionate, slightly grumpy girl who loves a good fussing, still refuses to sit on my lap but will sit as close to me as she can possibly get. Willow is a little minx, always up to mischief but she prefers men to women. She will sit on my son's lap for hours but treats me real reserve human energy!

These are our boys - Frankie 🧡 and Bean 🩶 they are brothers and are 2 yrs old.

They are both big characters. They both love water and fall asleep in the sink. Or sit waiting for droplets to fall from the tap that they can bat at. They're always trying to climb in the bath.

Bean (grey floofball) likes to groom us and lick our hair. Frankie has played fetch ever since he was a kitten. He'll bring you 'mousey' and sprint to fetch it for as long as you're willing to play.

They're both very cuddly but neither are typical loaf mode lap cats. They want to be held like a baby in arms or lie down next to you. Bean is the more aloof of the two.

Love them both to bits and wouldn't be without them, even if it is a bit chaotic with 2 cats and a young baby in the house now! I'd also add they have been surprisingly fantastic with our son (now 6m). They try to lick his head and flop down next to him when he's playing on the floor 🥹

I'm a big ragdoll enthusiast 😻And I have a little moggy Mitzy who's getting on a bit and likes sleeping in the sun and not being bothered. Very brave and will run at the fence if a dog barks near the others. Clyde is the red point and only male and lives to eat, hes very cuddly and doesn't do much. Pandora the tortie bi colour, she likes to clean everyone and has a penchant for feet. Loves to put everyone in their place. Clementine the seal lynx bi, very mischievous and tamer of puppies. Penelope the seal point is a sleepy cuddlebug and has the most adorable chirp, best friend of Marshmallow. Marshmallow is the baby of the group and is soooo sweet, she rides shoulders and tries to bark like a dog if I accidentally shut her somewhere.

Ragdolls are awesome cats, in the photos it's summer and they don't have their full coats, now they're fluff monsters. Never had any real fights or rivalries among anyone despite having a multi cat household and usually have a bed full of them, very dog like and placid.

This is Ivy. She is 8 years old. I adopted her from a rescue when she was 12 months old. She is very vocal in telling me what she wants. There is just Ivy and I here and she likes a routine. Around 10:30pm she tells me it's bedtime. Ivy is not happy with the current season as she likes lying around the garden in the sun.

Mine would like to know why I'm shoving a camera in his face. He is a great big softie but he's also an utter twat, hunter, food thief, decorater of kitchen with muddy paw prints who saunters on to a room, makes demands and expects to get his own way. He is mine and I adore him.

He was a rescue as an older kitten.

He is absolutely beautiful and a complete and utter twat cat! Wouldn't be without him though.

This is Candy, it’s her 21st year! ❤️ Losing her sight & hearing but otherwise having a happy life. What will I do when she’s gone…

Thank you. He's amazing. We were worried about how he'd cope but within 24 hours he'd managed to get upstairs (wearing a cone). Couldn't quite work out how to get back down but now runs up and down stairs easily. Then one day DP asked me why I'd put him on the kitchen table. I hadnt, he'd worked it out for himself. Ditto the bookshelves.
You can see from his ears he was a bit of a fighter and he still wanted to go out on patrol. The harness we bought to take him for walks was a waste of money because he protested too much so we just supervise his time out. He has a circuit that he does and likes to scale the compost heap for a wee. Next door neighbours love him so he gets to go out front and say hello if they're about. He also needs to go into the street to wee up his favourite lamppost and do some sniffing. I've had a few weird looks standing in the street telling a blind cat to hurry up. 😀
