To ask me to show me your cat

Anyone willing to share photos of their cats and tell me about them? I am very much a cat person but I have never owned one myself and I am looking to find out what different personalities breeds/colour cats have as I am very much at a time where I would like to adopt and rehome one, would love to see some of your beauties.

And these are mummy and daddy, Tank, the local intact male, who still visits every day and Spooky, who appeared from nowhere just before my old ginger tabby, Bob had to be pts. Sadly, Spooky hates the kittens, moved herself out and now lives in the man cave, where she's fed and watered twice a day. It absolutely breaks my heart every day. I've tried everything, but to no avail.

@JMSA that's not the first time she's been mistaken for a cuddly toy! She's very affectionate, and actually pretty clever for a Persian. My late cheddar was the most ridiculously affectionate, and sweetest cat you could ever meet. She taught Penelope how to cat very well.

I got 2 from same litter which is a fab idea if you can manage it. I'm so happy I acted on that advice.

This is Bob. She is 7. She tolerates most things, us included. I think she is my late mother reincarnated - I recognise the withering look.

I think it's a black cat thing. Little Tennyson is extremely partial to Eton Mess, trifle, cottage cheese, mushroom soup, coleslaw and all manner of other things. As far as he's concerned anything I'm eating is worth investigating. The only foods he's disgusted by are cauliflower and banana.

Big dog-like ginger one called Seth who likes attention and has the loudest purr known to man, and skittish torbie Stella, who is sadly bullied by him and who really only likes ds2.

I've never been good at sharing photos through the app so I hope you could see my lovely kitty.

This is "Coco" and she's 17.5 years old. She's very sweet and quite vocal. She loves sunbeams, blankets and loves snuggling on your lap. Don't let her age fool you. She is still very light on her feet and can run and jump with the best of cats much younger than her.

This is Mr Darcy. He's a very loving, affectionate boy but very bossy! He loves music and sits beside the CD player meowing until I switch it on. Here he is chilling to Leonard Cohen and trying to look innocent after I caught him just about to trash my bedroom.

This is Captain Stripey and Mr Black. They are 2 year old brothers, supposed to be Bombay/British Short Hair mix. They are nuts.

Captain is more aloof, he adores our dog and follows her everywhere. He also loves balls and playing fetch. He's as greedy as they come. His purr has to be earned, he loves a head scratch but would prefer not to be hugged.

Mr Black is a big purring ball of snuggles and love until his instincts overtake his brain and he attacks the hand that's petting him. He loves shredding pompoms and chasing lasers. He likes to wee anywhere he's not allowed to.

They are both bonkers, giant kittens still, they tear around the house knocking things over and shredding the furniture. You can't leave a cup of tea unattended or they'll have it on the floor. We adore them and curse them in equal measures 🤣

This is Oatmeal.

Our tabby who is nearly 5. She is affectionate and adorable but scared of everything. She follows me around the house waiting for me to sit down so that she can curl up and sleep on me. I get nothing done!

This is Honey! She is 9 months old and an indoor cat. She will eat anything and everything in sight, loves a snuggle in your arms in the day and under the duvet at night. She is also very vocal and will trill and chirp at everything!

My gorgeous chonk Jasmine ( hence my username) had her from a kitten, she’s now 11 and lives a life of pampering and luxury 😻

My girl. She’s a needy fucker with so many issues but we all adore her😻
She’s an ex queen rescue now living her best life with her human slaves.

These are my two; siblings, born in my brother’s wardrobe - he has their mama and one sister!
Fluffanora Forfang is a total diva, we are deffo her staff and she tolerates me but totally loves my kiddo!
Edge (total chonk) is my baby and is a proper mummy’s boy, follows me everywhere including the bathroom, knows when it’s bed time and comes to fetch me in the morning if I’m not up at my usual time!
Love ‘em dearly despite the wildlife they bring in, the hairballs they cough up and the weird or annoying places they like to sleep - on top of the toilet, on the bannister, in clean laundry baskets, half way up the stairs 🤣😻😻
