Stop playing the poor me card.

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 18:54

I looked into adopting my second cat from a shelter but I didn't because I wouldn't of passed the homecheck as I live in a flat on a main road, so I went to a private seller

My newly wed friends live in a flat on the main road and got a adult cat called hammy from cat protection.

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 18:57

God not another GF GlitterballGlitterball

CaptWentworth · 17/09/2017 18:57

Oh dear.

I hope your cat has a safe delivery OP, and that the kittens are all well.

Then I hope she decides to live elsewhere, with someone who actually likes cats.

Dumbledoresgirl · 17/09/2017 18:58

Well, biologically speaking, it is the same. There are too many humans on this planet. So many are in horrible situations. Unloved, abused, in dire poverty. Stop breeding! Adopt instead.

I don't know, maybe the OP is a heartless breeder of kittens. Maybe her queen is only 6 months old. Maybe she is intending to breed 20 litters from her.

Or maybe she just wants to breed one litter from her, then will get her spayed. It isn't illegal. And she has a point: if no-one ever bred another kitten, the feline population would become extinct.

We can't know what the OP really intends. But shouting abuse at her isn't the best way of changing her mind about this.

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 18:58

Well I rang local shelters and got told it's most likely a no as it's a small flat and have no garden area, carpark at back door and main road at front door, either way they are both house cats

I think no matter what anyone says OP we are all going to be wrong and your going the think your right. Hopefully the kittens go to a better home than your cats. And with that being said I'm out.

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 19:00

Finally! Someone with some common sense!
So I'm a cat abuser because iv let my cat get pregnant once? How dare you! I love both my cats dearly and spoil them with toys, treats and overall my love. Just because I'm putting her through pregnancy once doesn't make me a bad cat mum..

OP posts:
Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 19:00

How pathetic !

OP posts:
SleepFreeZone · 17/09/2017 19:02

So depressing. More bloody cats being born when the cat shelters are full to bursting.

chemenger · 17/09/2017 19:02

Yes it does make you a bad cat mum, you just don't want to understand it.

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 19:03

Clearly hates me doesn't she

I do think it's a bit off getting RSPCA rates because of your partner's status when you are in work and earning money. Will you see a private vet for anything beyond confirming the pregnancy?

I got a rescue cat in a top floor flat with no garden as she was not suitable for outside. Cats with certain medical conditions, mostly FIV but also sight or hearing problems, are often rehomed as indoor pets.

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 19:04

My cat is well trained and looked after , she gives me kisses daily which most of you wouldn't understand unless you have a bond with your cat ..

OP posts:
Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 19:05

Iv been recommended to go to the rspca , I don't mind where I go I just want a new vet to go to that won't rip me off

OP posts:
Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 19:06

Considering I'm on minimum wage and work 2 jobs just to afford my car and food , both our living situations we would most likely get help anyway

OP posts:
ForTheLoveOfSleep · 17/09/2017 19:06

I think she should get to be a mother atleast once..

But she won't get to be one.
You're using her as an incubator.
So try another excuse for your selfishness.
Oh and I'm sure the vet at the RSPCA (who actively campaign for cats to be nuetered asap) will be thrilled to treat her free of charge for you...Hmm

Polter · 17/09/2017 19:07

Read this thread OP and remind yourself that pregnancy is not risk-free for cats.

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 19:07

Woah I never mentioned free of charge , I'm not expecting anything for free
