What's done wouldn't be done if you'd taken responsibility for your pets and had them neutered.

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 18:24

Why are you all still carrying this on?
I want it removed because I didn't ask for insults 😂

If you're going to post on a public forum that you allowed your cat to be raped with a penis with spikes on deliberately because you somehow have attached human emotions on to your cat about motherhood then you're always going to get slated for it.

Your cat doesn't give 2 hoots about being a mother. If you cared about her you would take her to be neutered before she's too far along if she isn't already. Your tom as well.

Amee1992x · 17/09/2017 18:26

Maybe take some responsibility for your actions. Take your female cat to a vet, have your male snipped in the mean time and admit you've messed up ☺️

Lottey90 · 17/09/2017 18:27

Oi op don't diss rag dolls Angry

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 18:27

Had an email saying they won't remove it as it may be helpful to other users

The fact she was in Season and you have an unneutered male then I would say she is 99.9% pregnant. Get her to a vets and they can have a look at her and obviously advise you on how to care for her and young kittens. Just to warn you I work in rescue and a couple of times I have seen a cat give birth then have another litter 4 weeks later.. so got pregnant whilst already pregnant. Honestly no idea that could even happen! If she is pregnant I would just keep your cats separate from now as she will be less tolerable, especially when bigger. Needless to say keep your male cat away from the kittens as she will be very protective so the least stress the better for them all.

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 18:28

I won't admit iv messed up at all, it's my decision and because you don't agree doesn't mean it's a sin. Like I said no one slates people for breeding rag dolls , I wonder why that is

I have no clue whether she is pregnant or not, but you can get her neutered even if she is already expecting.

This whole attributing human traits ("I just want her to be a mother once") to animals (who do not think or feel like that) is one of the many reasons why animal shelters are full of unwanted kittens and puppies.

You do need to educate yourself, OP.

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 18:29

My male will be neutered in the next 2 weeks by the way , as I don't want him being boisterous around my girl

PacificDogwod · 17/09/2017 18:29

Plenty of people have issues with the breeding of whatever breed of cats and dogs Hmm

Like I said, inform yourself.

ILoveMyCatss · 17/09/2017 18:30

Also makes are still fertile for a certain amount of time after being neutered. I think it's 6 weeks but double check with your vet.

Amee1992x · 17/09/2017 18:30

I don't see how it was a decision when your having to ask if there's a possibility she's pregnant. I don't care what the breed of cat is I don't think there's any excuse for breeding and being irresponsible 3/4 of my pets are rescue. I'd rather adopt than shop.

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 18:31

Going to my local rspca vet tomorrow to get her checked out, I have a friend who has bred quite a few of her cats, she's the person I actually got my girl from, it's not like I'm clueless about cats just because iv let her get pregnant

OP posts:
ILoveMyCatss · 17/09/2017 18:33

I wasn't implying you were clueless. Just trying to help out.

outofmymind2 · 17/09/2017 18:33

Fucking hell. Yet another pregnant cat.

Yet another 'I want her to be a mummy!' Thread.
The mind boggles.

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 18:33

Your all against breeding cats but if everyone just stopped cats from having kittens they would eventually be extinct, surely? 😳
Just because there are unwanted cats in shelter doesn't mean these kittens will be

OP posts:
Amee1992x · 17/09/2017 18:34

Neither was I implying you were clueless, just irresponsible.

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 18:34

Most unwanted cats are adults anyway, I got both my cats from breeders from kittens, I had to bottle feed my male from 4 weeks old as the owner lied about his age , not many people want an adult cat, they prefer to raise a kitten like I have , the bond is better I think

OP posts:
CaptWentworth · 17/09/2017 18:35

Just one litter....

I must admit I'm finding this thread difficult to stomach, and I'm quite a mild-mannered person.

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 18:35

The kittens will go to people I know, like my aunt that lives alone, she's about to become redundant so she would have plenty of time for the kitten and it would help her out too, I also have a friend who had two cats but one passed away a year ago and she would love another ..

OP posts:
Amee1992x · 17/09/2017 18:36

and at one point all those unwanted adults were probably wanted kittens.

Amee1992x · 17/09/2017 18:37

So this has went from not even knowing if she was pregnant to passing the kittens onto people who you think wants them.

BarbaraOcumbungles · 17/09/2017 18:37

Rspca vet? Don't you have your own vet?

Niclou98 · 17/09/2017 18:37

Yes I understand that, my male is a Russian blue , they will be beautiful kittens and even if people I know change their mind about having one , I would find someone on cat lover pages on Facebook and do a homecheck etc first, I would never let these kittens go to homes/owners that I wasn't 100% sure about
