Fecking wankers Sorry for you SGK

SparklyGothKat · 15/07/2006 13:45

I am so angry, how can someone shoot a cat?? Have reported it to the police as there has been 3 cases of this thing happening at our vet in the last few weeks

One of our cats was shot - the pellet thingy went in through her eye and lodged somewhere in her head. Strangely, after losing her eye, she took up hunting.

SparklyGothKat · 15/07/2006 13:52

vet said that its a tricky op. and he might have to amputate Nemo's leg God I am so upset!!

coppertop · 15/07/2006 14:01

SparklyGothKat · 15/07/2006 14:07

I have a crime number, will I need this for the imsurance claim??
The vet said this will run into £££££, thank god I have pet insurance.

Viscious bastards!
Poor Nemo

SparklyGothKat · 15/07/2006 14:17

DH is seriously pissed off, the sooner we move from this area the better.
My baby is being drugged this weekend and the op done on mon or tues to let the swelling go down.

Sparkly, if it's any help to you we have two cats around us who both have three legs and they both seem very happy and able to get about as much as the four legged ones.

SparklyGothKat · 15/07/2006 17:03

he is only 2.5 though, he is a baby!!

edam · 15/07/2006 17:28

Oh no, Sparkly. There are some truly sick people out there. Hope Nemo gets through the op OK and also hope the little gits get what's coming to them.

expatinscotland · 15/07/2006 17:51

OMG!

Sparkly, when are you moving?

How disgusting! What a bunch of c*nts! Sorry, but to take anything out on a defenseless creature - human or animal - is just beyond in my books.

littlerach · 15/07/2006 17:56

My mum's cat has 3 legs, he lost a back leg when he was run over. He was less than a year old then.
He does well, but obviously can't climb as well. Still cathces mice and birds. Bizarly, he went through a stage of leaving mice on the doormat that only had 3 legs too. Leg envy I guess.

SparklyGothKat · 15/07/2006 17:57

EIS we should hear soon about the house, 30 of the properties have moved in, leaving 12 still waiting

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 15/07/2006 18:02

Damn, Sparkly, are you having a party when you get the HELL out of that hellhole?! It's disgusting what you've been thru w/those dire neighbours.

SparklyGothKat · 15/07/2006 18:05

i know, TBH I don;t think it has anything to do with next door or the other family that have given us grief, as since next door have been in prison we have had no trouble (his dad even looked for Nemo for me yesterday) and the other family have 3 cats of their own so I can;t see them doing that. I think it possibly happened over the playing fields.

hopefully the vet will phone me tomorrow with an update on him, they are closed now, but someone will be popping in to check on him, and give him painkillers.

southeastastra · 15/07/2006 19:09

i know of a couple of people whose cats have been shot with air rifles too, it awful how can people be so sick.

hope your cat recovers. this seems to be happening alot more, it's worrying.

ScummyMummy · 15/07/2006 19:10

omg, sparkly! Poor cat and nasty shooter.

SparklyGothKat · 15/07/2006 19:12

police are looking into the other cat shooting and trying to see if its from one area of town.

OP posts:
southeastastra · 15/07/2006 19:22

good, you need a licence for one don't you

SparklyGothKat · 15/07/2006 22:04

I think it depends on the type of gun, if it was an air rifle then you don't need one.

OP posts:
SparklyGothKat · 15/07/2006 22:21

omg the vet didn't ask me what food Nemo has, he is on a wet food diet as he suffers with feline lower urine tract disease. I hope they don't give him dried food

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 15/07/2006 22:22

can you leave a message on their answerphone?

poor nemo!
