Well, we have 2 golden retrievers, but if had to do it again, would definitely look into getting a Labradoodle which is a cross between a poodle and labrador.

I vacuum at least twice a day Shock Shock

ShinyAndNew · 15/08/2010 21:17

Staffy
Akita
Husky

In that order.

StormyWeather · 15/08/2010 21:19

Cocker spaniel. I've had quite a few over the years, and our last lovely girl died about four years ago. Sadly where we live now isn't conducive to having a dog, so we have a cat now instead.

lou33 · 15/08/2010 21:21

i like most breeds, but we have an 8m old springer spaniel and an 8 week patterdale / jack russell cross (who arrived today)

LetThereBeRock · 15/08/2010 21:24

Small dogs are great.

I had a Tibetan spaniel, whom I lost in May, who was an incredible dog. She had the best personality, she was so lively, even at 17. and even people who didn't like dogs seemed to like her.

The only disadvantage was that it took twice as long to go anywhere with her, as we were constantly stopped by people admiring and stroking her. She was gorgeous so I can't say I blame them.Grin

I'm hoping to get another dog soon and it'll have to be another toy breed.

We have a lovely Jack Russell. She is fun, busy, helpful, inquisitive and so lovable. [She is cuddled up next to me now]

And being little can be picked up and kept away from any trouble, and be popped in the sink for a wash after a long walk in the rain!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 15/08/2010 21:35

DH has had to talk me out of getting a Vileda Supermop, otherwise know as a Hungarian Puli.

We need something that can work, so retrivers, labradors, working cocker spaniels are high up on lists.

insertwittynicknameHERE · 15/08/2010 21:48

I have 2 cross breeds. But I adore Parsons JR's & Lab's. Although I have to say once my little old ladies are no longer with us I don't think I will be in a rush to get another dog as the work involved is just too much right now. It is not fair on the dogs at the mo Sad

I hoover constantly. Seriously I hoover about 6-7 times a day and the dogs are only in the front room after the kids are in bed, they are in the kitchen otherwise.

SleepEludesMe · 15/08/2010 21:48

Lurchers, greys and whippets. Love Salukis, Afghans and Borzois but couldn't live with a purebred one Grin

Also fond of lots of individuals - mostly crossbreeds. Not that into Terriers (yappy and snappy), Labradors (yawn), Spaniels (bloody nutters) or toy dogs (hardly any room in my handbag as it is).

There are very few specific dogs that I really dislike though - and those tend to be the ones which have given me good reason :)

booyhoo · 15/08/2010 21:53

well, i love all dogs. they are all adorable to me but i am actually getting my all time fave in jsut over 3 weeks.

A GOLDEN RETRIEVER!!!!

sorry for shouting it but i am in love with them.

but apart from that i like big dogs. big cuddly ones, labs, great danes, st. bernards, irish wolfhounds, boxers, rotties, german shepherds.

mumatron · 15/08/2010 21:53
