That doesn't fit with how MN explained the algorithm

When MNHQ moved the thread, I was told to 'bump it every hour or so to keep it in Active' but that does not work.

And yet I was told that there's so many threads being posted on at once that they need a run of posts and need to have lots of activity.

Its quite odd as well. The code of times I have reported slurs used about Irish people, I have had to report multiple times before they were removed.

I can't tell if it's because of where the post is, because it's NI or because he is black tbh.

I say that as a mixed race woman who was born in NI and lived there for my first few years.

Let's be honest, a thread in the DM doesn't harm MN. So they want the outrageous ones getting more and more people posting.

So I do think things like petitions are set up, in the algorithm to drop quickly for the busier places and the ones that are more to have threads that will attack lots of outrage.

This should attract huge amounts of outrage but it appears missing parcels, wrong parking, used wheelie bins and so on are seen as more important and deserving of light and attention by some.

Well, they actually removed my threads saying they went against mumsnet standards. Shocking.
