Apologies if this is a breach of etiquette, but could I ask that you take one minute to read the terrible plight of the Ashoori family on the petitions thread and sign/ share their petition. You may have heard about their story through the BBC or Channel 4 yesterday.

I'd rather contribute to a 'just giving' fundraiser with a definite objective than for something unspecified though. I know you only asked for signatures.
