Here we are on the fourth instalment of crazy misspellings, misuse of words and all the other topsy-turvy attempts at literacy from the illiterate.
Post your observations. Lady’s the flaw is youre’s…

I see that someone has already started a thread in PC, but I have just spotted "as a pose" instead of "as opposed" on a thread today.

Yes. I’ve just seen the thread. I had no idea what it could mean until I opened it. Shocking

Someone just messaged me on Facebook telling me that they had been searching for my profile 'lone behold, there it was!'

“Not an observation perse…”

At least the poster used per se in the correct context. Perhaps autocorrect is to blame for that one. Autocorrect likes to show me up on a regular basis.

Pinklightning · 10/09/2026 21:57

A thread earlier this week had someone saying they were a solicitor and they wrote about restbite. I thought solicitors were educated? That’s the second thread where someone has claimed to be a solicitor and has had some interesting spelling mistakes.

Alot still annoys me greatly. My phone automatically corrects it so I don’t understand how anyone can still type it.

?

Should be "yea" or nay.

@Pinklightning , not everyone uses autocorrect.
Posters claiming to be teachers often 'make typos' too.
