Facebook is a goldmine. Now I’ve seen “corsuge” (corsage) and “hastely” (hastily). My keyboard struggles with the misspellings so how are they so prolific?

I've just seen illusive when the context suggests they meant elusive.

In a magazine, what should have been a nice metaphor: “yolked to a runaway horse”. Egg on someone’s face there!

The word "malt" conjured up "whisky" in my mind straightaway, even though I don't drink the stuff.

Just seen on another thread, "Had you of done this at the very beginning you wouldn’t of had to make another thread". A double whammy of wrongness.

That's remarkable. Using "had you" instead of the more common "if you", but then adding an unnecessary auxiliary verb and getting it wrong.

Had you done this at the beginning, you wouldn't have had to make another thread.

A sentence which would suggest advanced education or wide reading.

The original, not so much.

@Chersfrozenface , mine's not elegant but the original makes the poster look uneducated. Don't people realise that it detracts from the message?
