OK, I know it's a really easy mistake to make. It's just that every time I read this - more and more frequently - my mind conjures something like this. Enjoy!

Before I buy, I like to see the clothes on a mannikin

Actually, etymologically...

"Mannequin, "model to display clothes," from French mannequin (15c.), from Dutch manneken "model of the human figure used by artists," literally "little man" (see manikin, which had been in English in this sense from 16c.).

(Etymology is fascinating.)

Agreed, it would be a pity to ruin her lively hood.

(Just noticed the wearer's male 🤦‍♀️ Maybe he stole her lively hood?)

actually they’re correct 😬

cats in Rome are legally protected under Law 281. This law specifies that harming a cat is punishable by law, cats can live wherever they choose and cannot be relocated

They may have the right to roam but not the right to Rome. Unless someone left it to them in their will.

I have to put this somewhere - I keep seeing references to the Equalities Act. It's the Equality Act FFS! And whilst we're at it it's the Children Act, not the Children's Act!

I don’t want to add in salt to injury, but some of the posters seem to have been praised by wolves.
