I'm fairly pedantic and agree that I lower my opinion of people if I see that they haven't used the correct version of your/you're etc (it's really not difficult). I didn't realise that it isn't 'with regards to' though! So thanks for the info.

Pedants' Corner didn't use to be full of smug OPs belittling others.
We used to talk about language, and funny turns of phrase, and interesting things.
Then, a couple of years ago, people started thinking it was here to point less than perfect fingers at other posters.
The old regulars have given up really.

The irony of course, is always that nasty posts like the OP's always have just as many, if not more, errors than the ones they are attempting to be smug and twatty about.

Which is greatly satisfying.

I agree, TheCanterburyWhales, Pedants' Corner has been infiltrated by a lot of self-satisfied, smug posters who really get off on correcting other people's SPaG.
