Dp saw it for the first rime on Saturday, after we had already handed over loads of money. He likes it. So do I! It's more expensive than our flat was but so was everything else we saw, and thus is better by miles than anywhere else we saw, in size and location and decor It's a very happy house but also very tired tonight :)

He wants me to add that the flat was done to s higher standard- better fittings and fixtures etc, but I maintain that this place is done more nicely than anything else we saw this time around

Have finally got the new floor down in the kitchen- just grouting and architrave for the doors now, and then the formidable task of building the new dropped ceiling at some weekend in the next month or so. Work has to stop for dd2 coming back from her dad's tomorrow though. But I'm really pleased with the progress so far.

Poor Shiney- illing is not nice.

Trills - i hope you kick dp in shins and tell him to stop complaining. the house sounds lovely! Enjoy it and being all homely.

Bof - sounds like you have made major progress on your kitchen. what meal are you planning to break it in when it is completely down and no longer a building site?

VT it was very scary. Just a 15 though. Scarily there were 4 people in the cinema at the start of the film, and only 2 at the end - I think the devil got'em. [devilemoticon]

DH was up at just after 5am as he had to go to some IT conference today, sounds thrilling. So I enjoyed a coffee in a silent house, in peace. DS2 just got up and DS1 still in bed .

Hello Annie, whereabouts in Canada are you? My Mom lived in British Columbia for 18mths, we visited her, it was gorgeous. I also have family in Toronto, though have never visited. Very nice wine, scenery and salads in BC, though I was very scared of bears
