I am Canadian and DH is English. I moved to the UK 7 years ago and we decided it was time to give Canada a try.

I do like it and haven't found it that difficult to re-adjust, but I spent the first 22 years of my life here so more or less just coming home for me. DH on the other hand has struggled a bit. I thought he was going to melt this summer when temperatures were hitting around 40C with the humidity. And he finds the government hard to deal with (in terms of driving licenses, child benefit etc).

We have always said we will give it 2 years. I cannot be out of the UK for longer than 2 years or my indefinite leave to remain will expire. So, we'll probably have a very long chat in about 18 months and decide whether we want to be here or in the UK.

i still drink red wine, tea, and diet coke, i buy bleach (£25) from my dentist and re-beach them about every six months, they are not white white, just normal looking (compared to what they were)
