Hello Grin

OP posts:
jetcat · 20/09/2010 10:55

this one hells, it is very lovely, i did it in the slow cooker and left out the creme fraiche. I read the comments before hand, and left out a lot of the liquid, as apparantly it can get too runny, but it was fine. Oh, and i didnt have any tarragon, so used oregano - which worked fine.

Am trying a beef version today, and for tomorrow, am attempting some homemade meat balls out of the JO cook bookSmile

hellsbelles · 20/09/2010 10:59

oh jet that looks delicious and super simple (my perfect combo). Did you brown the chicken first (it doesn't say too) or did it come out alright without doing that?

wow shineyShock I often see the road signs for those, and wonder if anyone actually sees any.

Hells, yes, i browned the chicken first with some onions. Oh, and i may have chucked a bit of red wine that i had left over from sunday lunch in as wellGrin Am cooking the beef version in the oven, so can test for differences

OuchPassVodka · 20/09/2010 11:15

Sounds lovely. Shiney will fb you if it needed.

Morning lovely ladies.

Good title Bella.

Shiney stags are amazing aren't they, much bigger than you ever expect.

Well done on getting everything sorted Jet, being able to face something head on like that is a really positive move.

Ouch a friend of mine did a boot sale yesterday and made over £100 profit, it was grey, cold and drizzly. Go for it I say.

Can some one please point me in the right direction for the Xmas meet up. I said I would go, but have been AWOL for a while and have lost track of it all. Are any of the shiners going together, same hotel etc or not. Would like to get this sorted now and paid for before all of the money goes Grin

I recieved all the money owing to me from tax credits, and managed to pay everyone back that I owed anything to and bought all my bills (that are not with the cab) up to date. I never thought handing over so much money (£2180) could feel so good.

The children all have brand spanking new uniforms (that I didn't think we would be able to buy) and DP and I have decided that with what we have left we are going to buy a new sofa. The frame on the one we have now broke about a year ago, thanks to my enourmous arse so I have been sitting on the floor for a long time (ok I do sist on the sofa sometimes but I live in fear when I do)

Diet news to follow on a new post...

NormaSknockers · 20/09/2010 11:39

Morning all,

Was just about to waffle away on the other thread then realised it was far too quiet so found this one!

Feeling much better today, I do have an awful hacking/chesty cough but at least I'm feeling ok Grin Dropped DD off at school & decided as I was already out I'd walk over to the next village with DS (he was in the pushchair & had a good nap!) & pop to the butchers as I wanted to get some sausages for tonight's tea. Came out £15 lighter but with lots of lovely meat to pop in the freezer, more then enough for at least 7 meals Grin Was good to get out in the fresh air & have a good brisk walk.

How are we all?

NormaSknockers · 20/09/2010 11:41

Blimey Shiney I would have just frozen to the spot stuttering to myself Shock

Jaq so pleased that you finally got all the money you were owed, about time too Grin

VinegarTits · 20/09/2010 11:51

Shiney i would have shit myself, then took a picture Grin

Hells i am thinking of getting a little fur jacket to go over my jumpsuit so i will be warm, but if i put anymore weight on before Nov i will have to wear my backup dress

mittz · 20/09/2010 12:05

Oh God that dress is divine Vinny... I couldn't wear jumpsuits but think they will suit your sassy gorgeousness Smile

Jaq Smile so pleased for you, you must feel like a different person. The getting things for the kids is such a boost isn't it? I hate them suffering.

I'd like to blow up my sofa on a piece of wasteland. Have it transported out and some guidance from a demolition unit and then kaboom, blow it skywards!!

mittz · 20/09/2010 12:07

Oh and I love seeing Stags, i really envy you that Shiney. I used to see them when I worked on the Chatsworth Estate and they do make your heart race. Have seen them go across the river in a herd in the mist and the memory still makes my little hairs go up Smile..

NormaSknockers · 20/09/2010 12:08

That dress is lovely Vinny!

Erm.....not liking your sofa Mittz? Wink

VinegarTits · 20/09/2010 12:29

Mittz whats wrong with your sofa?

i would like to blow up my neighbours house, with them in it

mittz · 20/09/2010 12:29

No, TBH I fucking hate it Norma. It is enormous, crappy cushions that only look nice when you have just fluffed them, has been used as a trampoline so is collapsing, and I spent the best part of 2 years sleeping on it. It's days are numbered.

I can't see your picks but I am guessing if you line you, your Mum and Taya up there would be a mild family resemblance Grin

Mittz - Sad for your sofa angst

So, i have worked out the weekends for kids away, and the xmas meet is one of them. Would anyone mind if i just came to meet up with you lot for the afternoon, then sneaked away before the big meet?
