Sounds like you have a real hatred for the thing Mittz & I don't blame you! What you fancy in it's place? I loathe ours, it's a hand me down as was our last one, it's old fashioned, ugly & has some rips to the arms! I get so embarrassed when people come round

i like my sofa, but would like to blow up my bed

last night the finnster sneaked into it and pissed the bed, so when i went up to go to sleep i had to throw the matress protector in the wash, and without it i can feel every fucking spring, so i dragged the matress off ds1's bed (he sleeps at his gfs) and slept with two matresses, god it was soooo cumfy

ds1 came in this morning and laughed at me

Norma could you chuck a thorw over it. Ikea have some cheap washable bed throws which cover sofas really well and wash even better

Mittz that is exactly how I feel about mine, I am so excited about having a new one. I have actually never ever had a new sofa, in fact the only sofas I have ever had have been given to me from various relatives! Oooh even more excited now I've realised that

I have stitch some elastic to hold the damm things on. Cheap knicker why is it still called that/thin elastic. Makes so much of a difference

Oh and when it got stained badly recently machine dye did a fabulous job

I'm with you on the sofa hatred. I have one that looks fab. Ordered it online. It is in fact the most uncomfortable sofa in the world. Ever. You have to sit bolt upright. It is designed for very very small people. But can't justify a new one..and we may be moving soon so I'll just have to wait. And I will never order one again without testing first.

im beginning to think i am a bit of an enigma here on MN, i floss my teeth, iron my clothes and shower eveyday, tis not normal!

Mittz we have a couple of bloody annoying throws on the sofa at present, I can't wait to rip them off, how liberating.

DP has just booked a clearance guy to come and remove the sofa on Wednesday. It could be a couple of weeks before we get the new one so our sitting room is going to feel very empty.

Vinny I don't floss because it makes my gums bleed or snags on my teeth. I don't iron my clothes everyday as I tend to wear dresses so if I hang them straight away they rarely need it. However, you will be pleased to hear I do bathe everyday!
