OuchPassVodka · 21/09/2010 22:12

Agreed more vodka needed.

Jaquelinehyde · 21/09/2010 22:17

Reformed character? Yeah right ok then Grin

Shit bof (no pun intended)it never rains but it pours hey. More vodka and breath, tomorrow is another day.

Gigantaur · 21/09/2010 22:17

thank you all ladies. Blush

what fab thread?

poo issues are not fun when you are already ill.
more vodka is the cure for everything though so drink up.

Jaquelinehyde · 21/09/2010 22:23

Shiney can I just say I can't believe your nursery don't wipe bottoms.

DD2 is just 3, fully toilet trained wipes for a wee but can't manage for a poo (I don't know many 3 yr olds who can) and the nursery have no issues with wiping.

How bloody stupid of them.

I agree with you Jaq.

OuchPassVodka · 21/09/2010 22:35

Its a h&s issue they are not supposed to Plus it is a pre-school not a nursery i think they are covered by different expectations and rules.

Shiney little people in boxers are the cutest. Ds loves his. always makes me smile. bless em.

my next door neighbour is drunk and loud. i should be cross but as she is nearly 90 i have to say i admire her ability to pub it with the best of them. She seems to have a different young bloke walk her home each pub trip ShockGrin especially when i am blokeless and have been curled up in bed in my pjs since 6:30pm Blush

Mittz - I am so sorry about your Mum. It's horribly unfair. FIL is on warfarin and is fine on it, although he has to restrict his alcohol intake.

BoF - Sad - hope that the reheated food tasted delicious.

Shiney - nursery not wiping bottom? Madness. Nursery did so with DS until he left (at 4) and so they should have. If they can change nappies, they can wipe bottoms

Hello everyone!

Lizzylou · 21/09/2010 22:36

Shiney, can't believe I missed that, but they don't wipe your son at preschool/nursery???

Must be a regional thing because nurseries/preschools round here wipe arses!

lizzy - do they accept prior to potty training or must they be potty trained? Am thinking its the preschools that insist/prefer on potty trained for attendance might be the ones with no wipe policy.

Iggi999 · 21/09/2010 22:46

Good night. Just saw about your mum Mittz, hope the treatment all goes well for her (as I'm sure it will).
Right am expected in bed so better toodle off.

Jaquelinehyde · 21/09/2010 22:50

Well DS's old nursery wiped happily with no issues.

Then we moved to this village and DD2 started at the local pre-school (meant to say pre-school earlier not nursery) and they have been happy to wipe, toilet train everything.

I have never ever heard of any person/establishment that looks after children refusing to do it. It's part and parcel of childcare surely.

It's a health and safety issue for a child not to have their bottom wiped properly surely, especially girls I would have thought.

Jaquelinehyde · 21/09/2010 22:54

Sorry have a bee in my bonnet now, not being grumpy.

I shall try and leave it Grin

OuchPassVodka · 21/09/2010 22:56

Grin i reckon its so they can have less staff. minimum staff to kid ratio absolutely possible thus moving saving grabbing.

How are you doing jaq. what was it like being back at uni?

OuchPassVodka · 21/09/2010 22:57

moving? money

Jaquelinehyde · 21/09/2010 23:26

I suspect you are right Ouch bloody penny pinchers...I'm leaving it alone, stepping away from the un-wiped bottoms.

It felt wonderful to be back in Uni today. We don't actually start until the w/c 4th October but I thought I had better do so research, try and get a bit ahead for my dissertation. It was so quiet though I was sat in this huge library all on my lonesome! Was lovely Grin

Back in again first thing tomorrow, and actually I really should be getting off to bed. I'm trying to re-train my body to be asleep before 12. I've got into the habit of not sleeping until gone 2am then having to get up at 6am, I'm like a bloody zombie I tell you!

Jaquelinehyde · 21/09/2010 23:27

Oh and I have developed a worrying addiction to watching gems tv and rocks tv Blush Shock

FiveGoMadInDorset · 21/09/2010 23:28

Hi all, hoping everyone is OK.

I find myself in a surreal situation of possibly going to my half-brother's stepfathers funeral in France with Friday or Monday. Very strange.

OuchPassVodka · 21/09/2010 23:30

know that feeling Grin was ready for bed at 4pm and yet am still up Confused and was having a lovely chat on fb when the bastards decided to stop the chat facility for maintance. why?

Gives up and goes to move ds.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 21/09/2010 23:32

DD's nursery were very good about wiping her bottom, school is crap so she comes home with crap in her pants at times. Will try yet again to explaing DD to them and what has happened and what is going on.
