Glad you had a nice afternoon Hells. I just hate clutter and can be possibly a bit ruthless at times. A few years back, I was having a garage clear out and I picked up this green thing and couldn't understand where or what it belonged to, so I chucked it. Cue 6 months later when we come to put up the christmas tree, the green thing that I had got rid of just happened to be one of the feet for the tree Blush, somehow it had found its way out of the box. I never ever confessed that indiscretion to DH...

bellavita · 27/08/2010 18:36

Brilliant Hells Smile

TrillianAstra · 27/08/2010 19:07

Well done Hells - we need enough of us so we don't have to go talk to the scary other people Grin

TrillianAstra · 27/08/2010 19:21

I can confirm that pomegranete goes better with tequila than with vodka.

Feeling stressy, need to wind down, red juices plus booze seemed the way to go. Also some nachos.

elliemental · 27/08/2010 19:24

I am just bobbing in to say, bravo! this thread title is wonderful.

Sloe gin! That' what you need!...mmmmmm - I have several litres in the cupboard maturing from last Autumn!

Or pomegranite vodka, a la Nigella.

Dammit, must not get sucked into thread...must...not...

TrillianAstra · 27/08/2010 19:41

Mmm, yes, very cute thread title, it is from finding nemo?

I have some morello cherry vodka maturing from this summer - your sloe gin is probably ready now, do you want help testing it?

Yes, fab title!

Crispy - you girl about town you..

Hi Ellie.

Shiney, what is this "love to all"? Have you knocked your head in the gym today by any chance. I think you will be much happier giving up work. Car sounds like a great idea. I am sure you will be able to manage the food bills etc if you stop shoppin at Waitrose and go to Sainsbo's Tescos instead.

Did I tell you we have got a Waitrose coming to York? >

TrillianAstra · 27/08/2010 20:14

Oooh, a Waitrose? Yay!

TrillianAstra · 27/08/2010 20:20

You would get such a slapping Shiney, but perhaps you like that? Grin

TrillianAstra · 27/08/2010 20:45

I hate those threads, don't do it, someone will claim to get 3 meals for 6 people out of one small chicken (but they buy free-range because it's better, even though they could get twice the size of chicken if they bought cheapo).

jetcat · 27/08/2010 20:47

£90 per week for food - wow, I can get by on.......

She doesn't even drink you know!

Actually, where is it going now you're not eating anything? Is cottage cheese more expensiv than I thought? Grin

TrillianAstra · 27/08/2010 21:08

Maybe lipgloss counts as part of the food budget. Most of it does end up being eaten in the end...

Gigantaur · 27/08/2010 21:13

Ben and Jerrys is on half price at the Co-op.

It's a bank holiday so an extra day off work.

M&S have cherries, they are nice.

Golden eye is on TV and is very silly, but distracting enough that I can MN and DP doesn't mind.

Is that a good enough start on happy things?
