OMG - How did that happen, apart from his being delicious hehe!!!!

I think you ladies had something to do with it though as there was only 1 vote in it!

But woohoo, he did it bless him, i was out all day, so only just got in, my i phone wont let me look on here, comes up with an orange warning saying dangerous content....do you think there trying to tell me something hehe!

Oh and Babybots a huge thank you again, your fab!

Babybots · 15/12/2009 19:52

Thats very nice of you Rachel, I'll have two more nights use please. Heating on lots [fblush energy company will be ringing to double direct debit soon I expect] so I will get it washed/dried quickly. Then it will return to nestle in your nappy place.

Congratulations kmummy!!

Glad car isn't major Babybots, although any spends on a car are heart breaking.

I used to use BBh at night, but then discovered micro fleece and a fleece/wool wrap. Now dd has a dry [if wee stinky] nappy in the morning. Wonders of the action of condensation! DD was in a dispo last night DH was in charge and he couldn't find a wrap. We really need more fleece wraps and longies.

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 15/12/2009 20:29

Oh and octo - if you want to let me know what tent you are selling then I can look up details? Think we are going to go for this But if you have a bargain it might be worth looking at!

JennyPennyNAPPYWEB · 15/12/2009 20:37

Tree - I might have some wraps I can part with if you are interested? What size you looking for? Medium ish?

Swampster - I can't stand that wet feeling either of the average fitted, which is why I have chosen my cheap lollipop micros over my expensive stash which is all gradually going! You don't get that at all. BBH were good for us when the girls were mega wetters but now we don't really need that and I struggle to keep them soft in our hard water.

tackyChristmastreedelivery · 15/12/2009 20:41

It's true, microfleece is the night time wonder of nappies. No glamour in them, but no squelchy morning change either.

Jenny - I'd def be in the market for fleece or wool. SHe is in TB red wrap size 2, or meduimish wool stuff. To go over micro size 2, so you know exactly waht that is like . She is 16 lbs. When will she grow????

swampster · 15/12/2009 20:48

Microfibre is the stuff of the very Devil! Used to get eye-watering ammonia nappies with DS2's Fluffles.

4CALLINGBIRDSandnotout · 15/12/2009 20:48

Evening all

Kmummy-My iPhone lets me on mn, i was so angry when dp bought me mine, i thought it was a complete waste of cash but now i adore it!

Have finished all my christmas present shopping today! Thank Fuck Now just got to buy some more sissors as our hundreds of pairs have all vanished! Then i can start the wrapping, dd2's pony is going to just have a ribbon around it's neck as there is no way i can wrap it!

kmummy · 15/12/2009 20:52

4 i get a msg from Orange saying it has dangerous content do you think DH has had a word so i dont get any fluff ideas!

Its let me on here twice and thats it ggrrrr! I agree though i LOVE my i phone, not sure what id do without it, still trying to figure how to txt pics though

tackyChristmastreedelivery · 15/12/2009 20:58

Yay for shopping 4!

swampster - oddly our magic alls, complete with sewn in microfibre [award for most crazy decision to BB magic-alls] don't smell at all. None of the BG/FB microfibre inserts I have smell, but they are all removable so get a good wash.
Our fluffles are getting a bit whiffy though, but they are long shaggy ones and pre loved, so probably the nappy equivalent of an old sheepskin rug. Yak.

Although have just remembered a cupboard full of the newer tyoe of fluffle. Must get them out!! Need a nippa gripper thingie or a pin though. Can't really be fused with that.

swampster · 15/12/2009 21:06

Agree, my BGs and Blueberries always smell nice. And I got a Magicall I had given away back on Sunday - my friend wasn't loving cloth.

tackyChristmastreedelivery · 15/12/2009 21:09

What? I love magicalls. So easy and squashy. The insert could have been flip out styleee though. WOuld have made such sense.

Blueberries. Everyone loved them so when I started out this time last year. Hardly hear about them now. I really like my 2 medium side snaps. Nice shape. The inserts are exhausted though.

swampster · 15/12/2009 21:13

I didn't really like Magicalls, looking forward to trying one again. Mine is bright orange.

I adore my Blueberry side-snaps and I am very fond of my velcro one-sizes but not the popper ones. Really LOVING Ittis now though.

Octohohohoho · 15/12/2009 21:17

jenny

This is ours

www.theforestcampingcentre.com/dome_tents/montpellier9.php

It is like the milenium dome - it is in great condition - no tears etc, no damp - fitted ground sheet - would accept £100 if you collect or could bring up to Swindon - was £350 when we bought it but has gone down in price since then to about £250.

No rush - we're not going cmaping anytime soon!!!

Right - dh back from newcastle - time for curry, wine and hot sex ((((yeah right))))

tackyChristmastreedelivery · 15/12/2009 21:20

Swampster - I thought I remembered you didn't like magicalls. It's the frills isn't it?

I am not so hot on the velcro one size BB. Maybe becasue dd is physilally small, and the nappy and velcro just looks huge and like it might scratch her . If you see what I mean? Mine is pre loved and the velcro is all crappy now, so it looks a bit scabby.

I thought you didn't like itti much? DId I dream that? Or were you sceptical? Or is that liable? sp?

Enjoy Octo!!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 15/12/2009 21:50

re above talk of lollipop micros, I agree that they're lovely nappies, and I think the way they're made they come clean easily & without build-up (better than Fluffles do). I trialed the micro & softee for our local real nappy project when they were looking for a replacement for the Fluffle (to have a quick dry option). I think if I needed a fitted and didn't have drying facilities, I'd definantly go for it. But unfortunately Clement didn't tolerate the fleece inner next to his skin - or rather, he seemed to start reacting to fleece around the same time I tried them (not connected, I'm sure) so I never invested in any for ourselves. But they are lovely nappies! ... I was wondering recently whether I was imagining it that Clement couldn't take fleece (since he was getting on so well with suedecloth, which can't be that different), so I tried him in a Fuzzibunz for a short time and sure enough, he went all red! So it's funny really, that they're both very similar, yet one is ok and the other is not!

tackyChristmastreedelivery · 15/12/2009 21:54

I wonder what it is Rachel. What is it about fleece, but not suedecloth. I guess they are made from the same stuff, but a different weave? Maybe Clement sweats in fleece but not in suedecloth? You have done well to work your way through it all and find something that suits him.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 15/12/2009 22:01

Yes, I think the suedecloth actually feels drier and also is cooler - so it seems with Benjamin too, that his skin is less damp with suedecloth, and also he gets more hot/clammy in fleece. But having said that, he's OK in fleece (thankfully!) so I use both kinds of pockets on B. But also the texture/pile of the fabric, I think - certainly Clem's face comes out red when he's next to certain clothes I wear (esp my wool coat, which is now a "no no" to wear!) so I guess his bottom is similar! LOL

tackyChristmastreedelivery · 15/12/2009 22:03

I hope they all grow out of it for you becasue finding school uniforms that are made in natural fibres [or any fibre but the cheapest nastiest horriblist yak] is a nightmare.

I speak as mother of precious first born who insisted on cotton blouses for dd . The polyester cardi is a non-negotiable as it has to have the badge. Pah.

mumFrostyface · 15/12/2009 22:24

It's a shame you can't get suedecloth liners, I've put Connor to bed in a bedbug with a fleece liner and silver liner on top as not sure silverliner would be staydry or not, he has 4 horrid sores again. I think it's weaning poos that's doing it, seems worse when tried him with yoghurt.

Octohohohoho · 15/12/2009 22:46

I'm back .... No - no not what you are thinking lol

Have you tried motherease stay dry liners? - odd fabric but not fleece. I have some here but not listed.

The fleece order is in customs.

I am not allowed to buy any more nappies for ernie - banned - says he is too close to toilet training (((boooo))))

thebluefoxategreensocks · 15/12/2009 22:47

Well you can get suedecloth fabric though! PocketBots do it (though quite pricey for a metre) but I found a place called Nappydashery which had a few metres of suedecloth for about 6.25 per metre. So I've bought a metre of it (tho in yellow) to see about cutting some liners in case I want to try any fitteds on him. Just hoping it's a similar suedecloth to what's in BGs & GKs, as I remember a couple of years ago when I was looking for suedecloth for Abigail (who strangely enough reacted the same way to fleece, despite having no other allergies then or now!) and I heard that Minki Nappies did their Waffle nappy with suedecloth, so I bought one of them, but was very disappointed! It was a very "suede" like feeling fabric which I thought felt very wet! It was horrible - nothing like BGs or similar. And I see now they have no mention of the said fabric on their website anymore, so maybe others thought it was awful too!
