I love puddlekins fabrics - very cool!

I make an effort to put make up on these days - decided that was important to look after myself aswell! I don't look rough without make up or wear alot but foundation, cream blusher, mascara and some lipstick do def make a difference to the way I look! I don;t wear any round the house if home alone or on beach etc tho!

Octothechildherder · 26/08/2009 20:53

bless - ds3 had a cream and brown stripey cardigan and hat when he was little - no ittis then though!

Scotia · 26/08/2009 21:00

I've just ordered 2 night nappies in soy french terry from upsy daisy - and that's my nappy fund empty now! I couldn't resist them when I had the chance, Jenny's converted me , but I don't have any night nappies yet, so a justified purchase really

Make up - I'm allergic to all eye make up but I can get away with a wee bit of bronzer and lipstick to make me feel a bit more human.

I very rarely wear make up but tbh i'm stuck in a rut, because i'm a size 20-22 i hate clothes shopping but i'm making an effort to try and buy nice things that make me look my age (27) not 72

I'm seeling some of my bbos to try and fund some uggs, have just ordered some black drainpipe jeans for under my knitted dresses, will good with my dm's too.

mumface · 26/08/2009 21:15

Aw, my pumpkin pop-ins got to go back the zigzag thread that runs along the front of the nappy is unravelled. It's likely to come apart in the wash

Octothechildherder · 26/08/2009 21:22

oh dear - not good - they are good at close parent though so am sure you will get a replacment soon enough.

still raining and camping all weekend - oh dear!!!!!!

not HAD A GOOD NAPPY DAY- HATE nature babied wraps and the perfect wrap still eludes me- wool seems bloody hard work too! (spits dummy out and swigs from wine bottle!)

newspaperdelivery · 26/08/2009 21:35

CAmping here too, at Solfest. Bugger blooming weather!

Hysterical thought Rus, with the wine bottle - if a sad fact about the wraps.

I got a holdens nappy and wrap - thats one funky wrap! Maybe get in touch with them and demand they make you a nice wrap?

BaronConker · 26/08/2009 21:35

Eye make up talk making me feel about my scabby eyes! I've got really bad hayfever at the moment and keep rubbing my eyes in my sleep, so they look red and puffy all the time. Plus all the rubbing has made the skin on my eyelids all cracked and lizardy, and now my right eye is feeling bruised and achey as well as itchy - think I might have got some bacteria or something in it now and given myself conjunctivitis. And I'm going on a hen night next weekend! Am worried I won't even be able to wear my contact lenses, never mind any make up, so I'm off to the doc tomorrow (with three boys, fun) to get drops, antihistamine, etc etc. All antihistamines make me woozy, even the non-drowsy ones, so usually avoid them, but it's getting beyond a joke at the mo, I spend all evening wheezing, sneezing, coughing, rubbing my eyes and groaning. Oh, and snoring too, apparently.

I ordered the patchwork nappy - went for unisex patches. It's my first ever UD nappy - am quite excited! SO much for loving the nappies I've got - was it only yesterday that I typed that?!

newspaperdelivery · 26/08/2009 21:37

Oh love!

twoclimbingboys · 26/08/2009 21:38

rusmum - I hope its a bottle of tia maria - yum!

4 - i'm stuck in a rut too! I haven't even owned a hairdryer since Toby has been born. I'm like Waynetta slob. My clothes are mainly size 10 and 12. I can't wear them as I am a 14 - so I literally have a wardrobe full of clothes borrowed off my mum atm.

Uggs, drainpipe jeans and knitted dresses sounds fab - most !

Octothechildherder · 26/08/2009 21:38

Have you tried homeopathic remedies? I use aveda eye cream as convinced crow lines are getting too deep Very sad I know!

rusmum · 26/08/2009 21:39

I just REALLY need a pretty airflow- perfect!!

Octothechildherder · 26/08/2009 21:40

rusmum - rikki covers??? I love these.

lol at waynetta - I went on the south beach diet last year and went from a 14 to 10 in 3 months.

Octothechildherder · 26/08/2009 21:41

airflow are fabby too - what size do you need - can rummage around in trial kits and see if can lend you one to try for free.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 26/08/2009 21:46

4: ooh, so you're the same age as me!

rusmum: Have you tried Upsy Daisy wraps yet? I've only ever had a fleece one, but the cut is good and covers a lot of nappy. Might be a good time to try one with the sale on! and plenty of cute minkee fabrics! [wishes I could buy some] LOL

Sold M&P Freestyler tonight! One less pushchair in the house - yippie! Though my poor husband (who's spent his whole day with jury duty and has to be back in the morning and for a futher 4 days!!) is the one downstairs packing it up for me, so it can be picked up by courier in the morning. I'm rather naughty! Must go down and help him! Still have the car seat & base though, as person only wanted pushchair.

newspaperdelivery · 26/08/2009 21:48

Rus - paint some? Fabric paint and a bit of alcohol creative half hour might do the trick.

twoclimbingboys · 26/08/2009 21:55

just off to google the south beach diet ...

rachel - it is definitely a man's job to package big things. You do the breastfeeding, nappy washing etc - it's only fair they do the manly stuff ...

rusmum - the UD side snap wraps don't fit over sandys - you would need to go for front snap or aplix I think.

rusmum · 26/08/2009 21:57

boo hoo hooo!! Could I cover my airflows???

Diet- I need to try this need 2 stone off

newspaperdelivery · 26/08/2009 22:02

Paint 'em. I'm telling ya - it's the way forward.

Also huge potential for much hilarity!

Octothechildherder · 26/08/2009 22:02

could you dye them?

BaronConker · 26/08/2009 22:04

rusmum - don't you like tots bots wraps? i use sandy's quite a lot - I've got the rainbow ones!! - and I put tots flexiwraps over them. yellow spots and green stars. haven't had any trouble at all...

Yorky · 26/08/2009 22:05

2CB, you sound like me - went to summer 'do' at DH work and had to borrow friends make up as haven't used/seen mine since we moved!

Love the sound of a patchworkUD, Do not need any more nappies or wraps, if DS decides to go dry I will be changing D every half hour just to justify the number we already have! Not that that has ever stopped me looking. Is it mean to buy her pretty nappies for Christmas, I know she'll get loads of clothes!

Now, who had the Tia maria?

4andnotout · 26/08/2009 22:06

I love tots flexitwraps too They are the only ones we use now.
