I thought I was mad using an easyfit overnight lol - I am clearly not mad at all - in fact he still has it on ... must go be a good mummy for a while!

BaronConker · 07/08/2009 09:31

God no, I don't use cloth at all overnight! There, I've said it. It's my big, shameful secret that I've been too ashamed to speak of for all these months. I sit here, I listen (or do i watch?) to you all talk about good night nappies, and I keep to myself the dreadful fact that I use Tesco own brand despicables at night! I am just far, far, far too lazy (and knackered in a mother-of-3-boys stylie) to risk having to get up and change a nappy at night. My 6 year old still occassionally bedwets, my 3 year old has nightmares, my DH gets up at 5am for work, if I was woken up for ONE MORE THING I might just lose my mind!

So to answer your question, Swampster, the grobag in question was a lightweight daytime jobbie used for naps. And now it smells of wee. I'm not discouraged though, I love my strawberry fields and chocolate ittis. I stroke them...

BaronConker · 07/08/2009 09:35

Octo - have just seen on the other thread that there's a discount code! Sob! I bought two pop and gros from you and didn't use it. Now I'm just going to have to go and buy some more!!

a disp user on the thread ROFL at coming clean! Can I admit to taking them to sardinia? Couldn't face taking them when is so hot and shared washing machines.

We should have a sinners thread for people who need to share disp secrets

Octothechildherder · 07/08/2009 09:38

I'm sure I told everyone about it ages ago! Free postage this month aswell which is fab - for some reason postage doesn't always work on my site anyway!

swampfire · 07/08/2009 09:46

Hi anchovies, BBH minkies are rather nice but I think Ittis are way cuter.

swampfire · 07/08/2009 09:48

I will be having a two-week cloth holiday soon when we go abroad. I will be using my lovely Sugar Peas fleeces to cover my despicable shame though!

BaronConker · 07/08/2009 09:55

Octo, I'm sure you did, I just have a memory like a sieve and keep missing stuff. Good to know for the future though... Also, don't they have a water supply issue on Sardinia? So you could actually say you were being eco-friendly by NOT taking nappies that require washing... Possibly?

In my own defence, DS2 is in a YoYo every night - once they get past the really heavy wetting stage I'm a bit more brave about overnight cloth... Also use bright bots on DS1 when we stay at people's houses in case of emergencies. So I'm not all evil, I'd say maybe around 80% good, 20% bad!!!

Octothechildherder · 07/08/2009 10:48

we could invent a scale of nappiness

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 07/08/2009 11:22

I will re-post here - thought part 10 was still going!

Please may I join? I have become addicted to Ittis as well, DS spent the whole day in them yesterday and it was lovely seeing him crawling about with his little blue and then red bum I may need to get one or two more.....

Octothechildherder · 07/08/2009 13:19

Ali - see my other post - have 10% off atm and free postage

BaronConker · 07/08/2009 13:24

swampster lol at you putting a wrap over a despicable to hide your shame! Last week my dad was looking after DS3 and I left him with nice, easy, easyfits. When I came home, Jamie was sporting a stylish totsbots strawberry wrap, so I assumed my dad had been heroic, braved my nappy box and managed a 2-parter. Silly me. Turned out he'd put him in a disposable with a wrap on the top, for no apparent reason other than that he'd seen me putting wraps on and just thought that was what I did. He said 'I didn't know you used cloth nappies - why on earth do you do that?'

It's not like I've just started doing it - DS1 is 6 and a half FFS! He's seen me change about a million nappies! My entire house is draped in drying nappies! He clearly has that wonderful man talent of being able to remain completely obvlivious to all baby-related stuff going on around him.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 07/08/2009 13:41

Ooh Octo

Baron - well done on getting your dad to do nappy changes. Mine runs a mile from doing DS'. He was good at doing ours when we were little apparently but clearly feels that was enough for him

We put DS in dispicables whenever we go away, except if we go to my parents where I keep a seperate stash, a bucket etc. It's too much paraphenalia (sp?) to take cloth away.

BaronConker · 07/08/2009 14:02

Alibaba - it's a new thing! He retired just before I had DS3, and then I had bad PND and he came around a lot to help out and to sit with me when I didn't want to be by myself. So he ended up doing much more stuff with this baby than with the other two put together. (Which makes it even more wierd that he doesn't know about the cloth - although tbh when my PND was really bad I couldn't manage them and did use disposables for a few weeks). it's nice, actually, as Jamie LOVES him, and practically runs into his arms when he sees him, which didn't happen with the others as they hardly ever saw him, he was always at work. He had to look after DS3 the other day as I was taking DS2 for a hospital appointment, and my mum wanted to come with us. Normally she does all the hard bits like nappy changing!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 07/08/2009 14:03

hi everyone glad to see you're all still chatting nappies! And I'll make sure I don't even think of selling any here! LOL

yummyspottyblueberry · 07/08/2009 15:06

at Sugar Peas hiding the shame!

I must confess that over the past few weeks I have been using a size 6 dispicable with padded training pants over the top at night with DS1 as the boy is a cart horse! Even cloth claiming to be for heavy wetters doesn't seem to last beyond 2am and like BAronConker, I don't need that one more thing

DS2 is still at an age where he can where most things at night, Flexi-tot and yummyspottyblueberry being super excellent.

Dont use any special mixture for my wipes. Just water.

yummyspottyblueberry · 07/08/2009 15:07

where he can wear

yummyspottyblueberry · 07/08/2009 15:11

Have been meaning to ask, has anyone any experience of Little Lamb? My friend offered me 15 cottons 5 x wraps, washed not worn for £30.

Are they any good?

BaronConker · 07/08/2009 15:29

yummy are they prefolds? Or fitteds? I think I know someone who's got some but don't really know anything about them..

Which design of yummy spotty blueberry have you got? I've got three BBOS (aplix) in choc with blue spots, one BBOS (poppered) in the big spots blue latte, and one large BBSideSnaps in blue with choc. So basically all the same print except one!

V impressed at flexitot overnight use - I could probably have managed it with DS2 as he's not a heavy wetter, but DS1 and DS3 are like clones and both wee A LOT. Thought all boys were like that with the first one, but then had a second and realised that it wasn't just rubbish nappies or me being crap at potty training, he just produces phenomenal quantities of wee...

yummyspottyblueberry · 07/08/2009 15:41

Same here, we are flirting with potty training and I am always astounded by how much he pees (volume) when on the toilet. No O/N cloth stands a chance!

The LL's are fitted.

The blueberry is erm....dalmation?? Cream with dark spots. (That hasn't done much to hide my complete nappy ignorance has it? )

rusmum · 07/08/2009 16:49

hi all just marking before packing for bloody camping hol

BaronConker · 07/08/2009 18:33

yummy is that cow? I don't know really. I only really like the chocolate ones! Bought all three of my choc BBOS preloved, they were pretty pricey even then, but one was a bit of a result as it had a popper missing on the front - one of the ones that you use to adjust the rise - and I don't need to adjust the rise as DS3 is mahoosive! So I got it for £5!!!! Obviously now won't be able to sell it on for much, but who cares, it's lovely!

Looks like it's just you and me on here this afternoon - DS3 is having a mammoth nap, and the other two plus one best friend are busy spraying each other with the hose in the back garden. Ahh, peace, cup of tea, internet...

swampfire · 07/08/2009 18:49

Dalmation Blueberry One-Size, yummy.

mumface · 07/08/2009 18:55

My 3 are all in bed already.Result.
I am thinking about washable wipes but worried DS2(Lewis) will get hold of the box and tip it over whilst I am nappy changing Connor.
He is also getting mean about sharing his BBOS with his baby brother!I have 4,Fire opal with poppers & blue spots on choc, blue camo & lemon, sage retro spots in aplix.
I went to put one on Connor & he kept shouting No! thats MY nappy.
He also likes to choose his own nappy when I send him to get one

BaronConker · 07/08/2009 19:00

Can I alert all you ladies to the fact that I have listed some nappies on the for sale board. I would like to use tree's new nudge nudge wink wink emoticon, but mean old MNHQ haven't invented it for us!

They are cottontails. I have to say I have never heard a single person on any chat thread on any website ever mention them, but I think they are very nice and have no complaints about them at all. Birth to potty (and I have used them on a newborn and a toddler, so they really are) and nice soft velour. Selling because I am really only using my pockets and AIOs now that DS3 is toddle-tastic and very wriggly.

Obviously discounts for thread buddies are available, you only have to ask!!
