Fruit oh poor C! make DH feel as guilty as you can! get C to join in the guilt tripping. By the way did you find the stroller I left? and oh...we forgot to get black out blinds!

Hyena routine is going soooooo well (touching wood as i type!)

'I' is a routine baby as am I (lol) and this just seems right up our street; I shan't be following to the letter as i don't agree that a bottle of formula at 10:30pm is necessary and I'm not that bothered with her waking once in the night to feed and then go back down, granted I'd rather it not be at 2am but 4 instead but she'll get there poor lamb. Well I am in love with my baby again after wanting to send her back! so things are good on the GF front! (I should probably whisper that, what with her history with MN!)

havingagiraffe · 19/10/2009 14:13

Ah Fruitbat you must be Mr Fruitbat strikes again!! Is he still alive?

Meeow So glad that the routine is working, it must be such a relief to feel in control again and it sounds like I is really happy with it.

Turkleton V/impressed that you've been able to post. Hope this can continue once you have both your beautiful girls at home as am dying to know what life with 2 babies is like.

Hyena 2 WEEKS!! Oh dear, how dare they impinge on your maternity leave/lunches/cleaning

Should be doing something far more productive while N is asleep but am Mn'ing instead .

Think it's a fluke but have to celebrate somewhere, N went from 7pm until 1am with no feed last night - Hurrah maybe he's eating more than I thought

Fruitbatlings · 19/10/2009 14:33

DL (darling lodger) turned up at 7am (stinking of booze) this morning after a muffled phonecall at 6.15am to apologise, which was then cut off mid sentence

He's currently asleep. Am planning a very noisy activity with the mindees and DC's this afternoon. I think it's about time I got the old musical instruments out - all in the name of the EYFS of course
Sory, I PROMISE to catch up on the posts but am feeling quite self absorbed at the moment.
Although I did catch what you said giraffe about N sleeping, How lovely !

Hyena · 19/10/2009 16:50

I'm knackered today.. think this is the first time I could quite easily nap on my nose. Haven't stopped all day though.

Fruit So with your DP. How inconsiderate. I honestly couldn't put up with that. Hope you've given him hell today.
Giraffe Yey for little N and his 6 hours without a feed. It's such a milestone when you get your evenings back.
Meeeow Fingers crossed for I keeping it up.
Penguin 32 weeks already!! Not long til you finish work - woohoo!
Turk Have just seen on FB that Abby has put on weight. Brilliant!! She'll be back home before you know it.

DP not back til after 6 tonight so I'd better go and think about L's dinner....

Meeeow · 20/10/2009 09:18

I'm gagging for a shower but need to be certain 'I' is genuinely asleep! does every new mum neglect personal hygene or am i just mega gross!? (Sat am = last shower eeew)

Fruitbatlings · 20/10/2009 11:54

I just leave Jack to cry, he eventually drifts off, if not, I'm only in the shower for about 10 mins max anyway. I wondered what that whiff was that was following us around the baby show

Hyena · 20/10/2009 17:52

Just checking in. Day two of the hols is almost over - phew!! Three more days of DD and then DP is off - not sure whether to laugh or cry . I think I'll plan lots of Daddy activities to keep the house tidy.
I used to leave DD cry whilst I had a shower too. When she was a few weeks old I'd take her bouncer chair into the bathroom and leave her in the there but I soon learned to put her somewhere I couldn't hear her and close the bathroom door .

PenguinPoo · 20/10/2009 21:15

Well it's been a bit of a day here in the Penguin household. Firstly DH has been diagnosed with suspected swine flu and given tamiflu as he's a diabetic. He's exceptionally quiet and looking terrible and not moaning at all so I know he's proper poorly. I went to get his drugs tonight and fell over in the supermarket, had a little trip to a&e to get checked over and listen to the hb, all fine, but very sore and bruised I've moved into Mum's just to be on the safe side, but feel terrible leaving him on his own
But good news is he went for a job interview yesterday and got it! Much better than the temp one he has, although still not a match in wages but can't have everything!

Right I'm off to chuck my sister out of her bedroom and get an early night x

Meeeow · 21/10/2009 07:19

Hyena it seems I'm not quite tough enough yet!

Oh penguin what a palava! Your doing the right thing staying with mum. [Hgrin]

fruit yup that was me! Gross eh x

havingagiraffe · 21/10/2009 07:33

Penguin Let Mum look after you. Lots of TLC . Brilliant news about the job - there's never a dull moment in your house is there?

Hyena Recommend a daily dose of 'activities out of the house' for Daddy and L next week. Then you can clean AND put your feet up before the big day.

Thinking of Nemo today and wondering how she is, am so rubbish at text as some of you know .

Fruitbat Have you forgiven him yet or is he still in the doghouse? I somehow hoped getting married would curb his bloody stupid decisionslapses of judgement.

Meeow N clearly likes a clean Mummy as from very early on I've been able to shower while he's awake. Used to leave him in his cot from a few weeks with the mobile on and now he is either wriggling around in there or in the bouncy chair with a toy or two. He then gets moved around for me to get dressed, do hair, make bed (although hair always has to be a quick brush and ponytail!) Sounds like I'm lucky though.

Off to Center Parcs at the w/e - Spa on Sat am Must think about packing, I forget it's no longer a case of chucking a few things in a bag.

Another couple of good nights for N - he woke at 4:30 for a feed and went straight back to sleep, I, on the other hand didn't for an hour Goodness knows why!

Hyena · 21/10/2009 11:06

Day 3 of the hols.
L is spinning around on the floor asking me if I can do it . Think we might hit the Pizza Hut buffet for lunch and watch a DVD this pm.
Giraffe Do you want to swap? I'll go to the CP spa and you can come here and labour?
Meeeow As she gets bigger you'll find it easier to leave her to cry. It's tough when they're small.
Penguin Hioe you're resting up today and that your DH is recovering well.

How can it only be 11 o'clock?!

PenguinPoo · 21/10/2009 13:55

Giraffe Can I order one like N do you think or is it too late? Hope you have a lovely weekend
Hyena I just don't understand why you can't spin too I did take the day off today so resting with my feet up watching Mum's sky! Bliss
Spoke to DH this morning and he's feeling rough still, think the tamiflu is meant to make you feel worse before you feel better. I've dropped off a food parcel and may drop some more off later. Have to say I had the best nights sleep in ages last night, my sister's bed is so comfy and having all that space was heaven, wonder if I could kick her out until Christmas
Fruity How are things in your household, hope you haven't forgiven DH yet?

Hyena · 21/10/2009 15:32

I want to order one like N too - he's such a gorgeous boy and I know L would be very pleased after she was so taken with him.

Penguin I hope you didn't even consider going to work. You should take the rest of the week off and watch crappy tv. Think Tamiflu can make you feel worse and only shorten the illness by half a day but still worth taking because of diab.

DP at the dentist now but hopefully won't be too long. I took L to have her nails done because I had mine manicured [bad mother emoticon]. They look so cute - all pink with white and sparkly flowers on. Wonder what DP will say...he wasn't impressed when I straightened her hair for her dance show a while a go !

havingagiraffe · 21/10/2009 19:57

After the wingebag he's been today I would happily post him to you if there wasn't a postal strike tomorrow! ....

.....Oh alright not really - he's lovely

Hyena · 22/10/2009 19:11

Do you want to swap giraffe?

This is getting scary!....

giraffe that sounds lovely! I suppose if it wasn't for having to watch the cat around 'I' I might do something similar. I did sit her infront of 'baby tv' while I got ready last night!

...Yes that's right I went out! Had dinner with friends got in at 11pm! Unfortunatly DH had struggled to give her the EBM so I had to give her the rest when I got in! We had a big row this morning as he woke her up AGAIN as he can't get dressed quietly and keeps forgetting to put his clothes out the night before! It means she's whingy and needs naps at odd times and then ultimately is ready for bed way early ! Am I wrong to be so p'd off?

Hyena · 23/10/2009 11:03

Day 5 of the hols and DP should be home by 3.30 - woohoo! I'll soon be fed up of him.
I'm going to meet my sister for some lunch before taking L to play place to burn off some energy.
Lots of BH and backache last night but knew my body was teasing me. Am think I have three weeks left rather than one so I don't drive myself mad.

Hyena · 24/10/2009 19:36

Where are you all? Are your keepers forgetting to feed you?
Nothing to report - DP at the rugby and DD just in bed. Am on the sofa waiting for XFactor. Have decided I'm not prepared to labour on weekends and miss out on XFactor and House .

Fruitbatlings · 25/10/2009 07:46

Sorry, I'm here, I just keep neglecting you all

I'm having no end of trouble at the batlings household.
Our boiler has decided to be an arse. I'm hoping we don't need a brand new one
I'm still having trouble forgiving the DL and not sure of my feelings towards him anymore - they seem to have completely disappeared. In fact, I can't wait for Monday when he's back at work to be perfectly honest.
I know we need councilling, it's just something we never get around to doing as we're both extremely busy. Wolverine gave me the number for a councillor ages ago, I left a message on the answerphone but never got a call back then forgot about it.
It dawned on me last week what he is, completely passive aggressive, immature, unreliable, he can never make a decision or get organised and I'll never ever be able to depend on him for anything.
It really is like having a teenager to look after.
It's a bit embarrassing seeing as we're only just married

I'm sure I'll be back on here soon enough, everything back to normal and forgotten. Then it'll start all over again the next time he behaves like a dick

Hyena · 25/10/2009 11:11

Fruit Sorry you're still having a hard time. You really do have a lot to put up with. I hate the thought of you feeling miserable. Please try and schedule some time to talk to someone - I honestly believe a third party may help him to see the light. Lots and lots of love. Thinking of you xxxx

Nothing to report but have added bump pic to FB. Still feel quite small .

PandaEis · 25/10/2009 18:44

hippopotamum · 25/10/2009 21:47

Ladies - apologies for absence, have been a busy bee lately.

Hyena OMG I cannot believe you are due this week am so excited !!! Your FB pic is gorgeous, you are super slim with a fab bump !! I was a bloater by your stage !! In fact, my waters ahd gone by your stage !!!! I will be logging on loads from now until bubba arrives

Fruit so sorry DL is being rubbish, you really must have the patience of a saint to put up with his shennanigans, hope you can find someone to talk to xx

Meeow IKWYM about noisy daddies in the morning - my DP is the same and I am sure sometimes it is intentional to ensure he sees E before he goes to work - never mind that I'd like a few extra baby-free minutes in bed !! Very bl00dy annoying indeed.

Turkleton I am ashamed that you have posted more than me of late - I have been busy but not a patch on you !! So glad to hear both girls are doing well - the photos are adorable, they are sooo cute lying there together !!

Panda great to hear from you, good news about clomid chat and the very fact that DH is so onboard and up for trying anything to get there, he is a real sweetie. Good news about jobs too. How is your sister getting on with the book ?

Penguin I cannot believe you are so far on my dear !!! How is DH, still got pig flu ? Hope you have had a lovely time at your mum's being looked after and resting xx

Nemo what news from you missus ?

giraffe well done to clever N , I loved the FB BLW photos - so cute !!

Not much of interest to report from here - off up to my parents' with E tomorrow for a few days - feet up and let the granparents get on with it .

PandaEis · 25/10/2009 22:24

hippo hi my sisters book is finished and ready to go and she is almost finished the first draft for number 2 in the series aswell she starts sending the emails tomorrow!!! how bloody exciting

PenguinPoo · 26/10/2009 11:06

Panda I am intrigued about your sister's book, have I missed something? What is she writing about? I'm so nosey! Have dusted off my pom poms ready for the dance
Hippo Lovely to "see" you, glad all is well with you, enjoy your break and let your parents spoil you
Hyena Looking forward to plenty of rest now DH is home with you both?
Meeeow I don't suppose DH will learn to be quiet, I know I've spent 7 yrs trying to train mine to pick up after himself and it's still not worked!
Fruity So sorry to hear DL is still misbehaving, I really hope you can sort things out and get some help. It's not healthy for you to go from high to low so often, it will wear you out hun x

Big waves to everyone else, hope you are all welll I moved back home on Saturday, DH seems much better and it was nice to get back although the house looks as if a bomb has hit it! Bump has grown again and getting very bad back and pelvis pain at the moment. Even physio isn't happening, will see how things go at work this week but may have to give in and go to the doctors to get signed off
