Giraffe That is soooo unbelievably cuuuuute! You have a clever man there. I love the website, have joined up and currently D/Ling a vid of J when he was a scrawny lickle chicken

Forgot to say I need to give that baby of yours another squeeze! Will you be coming to Wolverine's in Sept? Oh my, I'll have so many babies to squeeze by then, [winomore far too over excited!]

PenguinPoo · 02/08/2009 21:03

Giraffe I love the video, actually so did baby it was jumping around all over the place, wonder if it was the music
Tigger Tut Tut you just can't get the animals these days
Hyena Could you come and do my ironing? Still haven't tackled it
Wino I knew you would try and wriggle out of the drink strike!
Hippo No hangover very usually I just look at a bottle of wine and I get one! Hope you are having an early night
Meeeow Sorry to hear things haven't progressed quickly for you, hopefully you'll get a wriggle on.
Turkleton How are you and the twins?
Had a lovely day out today, weather was sunny and warm for a change, far too nice for housework and ironing so once again it's not done oops

housework? ironing? what? I don't know what you're talking about woman
I keep hoping my house will just work itself but it doesn't and gets worse and worse by the second - especially with DP about. Thank goodness I don't believe in ironing or we'd have no clothes to wear! But then Fruitbats don't wear clothes anyway

Impala · 02/08/2009 22:35

Just popping in to say hello and how I love our new surroundings! I also love everybody's new names I couldn't think of anything clever with my sleep-deprived brain! I racked my brains whilst I was walking E this afternoon but this is the best I could come up with. I just hope Hyena doesn't have me for dinner
Giraffe Love the video - tell your DP he's done a grand job! Hasn't N changed since our meet-up too, he's growing up so fast!
Meeow Hope things have started as I type so that you avoid another sweep tomorrow.
Penguin Don't worry about the housework, you should see the state of my house. It's even worse atm with piles of stuff everywhere ready to take to France on Wednesday. I don't know how it's all going to fit in the car. How can such a small person need so much stuff
Oops, she's stirring, better go -hello to all the other animals

Meeeow · 02/08/2009 22:42

Lovely vibe in here ladies! Right I want this baby out tonight, can we all gather together our collective energy and send labour vibes in a surrey direction? All together now ....

TiggerIsMyCat · 02/08/2009 23:13

OMG!!! has anyone watched quarantine?? i am watching it now and it is horrific!!!! i am officially disgusted!! i feel a little ill actually!! my eyes have been violaed!! EEEWWWW!!

Meeeow · 03/08/2009 07:21

tigger lol! I just read your fb status, must be a good film

Stil pg this morning! Having a 2nd stretch and sweep at 3pm and have decided I shall be evicting her no later than 12th Aug if she won't come of her own accord.

PenguinPoo · 03/08/2009 09:15

Morning fellow animals

Tigger Was it really that bad, sounds terrible, will have to wait til tonight to see FB status
Impala Very elegant and graceful name, but your right to be wary of that Hyena she might eat you alive
Wino A self cleaning house I could do with one of those!
Meeeow Good luck with 2nd sweep today

5 more sleeps for me until scan, starting to get my pre-scan insominia but just for Hyena I'm also doing PMA PMA PMA

Hyena · 03/08/2009 10:06

Morning stinkers,

I'm going to visit the new baby later - so excited!!

Penguin Do your own ironing . Keep that PMA going. Shall we put bets on flavour?
Meeeow Good luck with sweep. Tell the consultant you won't believe anything he says from now on .
Tigger No haven't seen it and not sure I want to now .
Impala I was going to be a GazELLE (as DP suggested) but I'd rather be closer to the top of the food chain .
Fruitbat I'm trying to stay on top of things at home or the house would be in a mess v quickly with DP and L off. It's amazing how much mess they make .
Turkelton When is your next scan? This week?

Hello to the other animals.

TiggerIsMyCat · 03/08/2009 10:48

mamafox · 03/08/2009 11:17

jeez it's going to take me a while to remember who everyone is..... change isn't good with babybrain
Managed to take dd2 to playgroup today, first time I've taken ds, he was a hit with the grannies there who help out
Have never heard of that movie Tigger, can't say I'm that keen to see it either, given your comments

Hyena · 03/08/2009 12:13

Happy anniversary to Meeow and Tigger (for tomorrow).
Mamafox You are supermum!

Meeeow · 03/08/2009 14:09

Hi all! Cheers guys, and Happy anniversary to Mr and Mrs Tigger for tomorrow! I'm just psyching my self up for thie bloody sweep....again! Finished packing my hospital bags and going to stick them in the car and forget about them! Hate staring at them in my room. DH and I are going to dinner tonight and I've made plans for Wed, trying to get the law of sods on my side as fruitbat suggsted.

Meeeow · 03/08/2009 15:59

Quick update; I'm aware your probably fed up of my whinging so I'll keep it short mw did sweep and was amazed I wasn't yet in labour, she said conditions couldn't be more favourable and waters were bulging! Bishops score of 7 (off to find out what that means) anyway, I'm booked in for induction on Mon. Hope I don't need it

WinomoreTheFruitbat · 03/08/2009 19:47

Exhausting day for me - took the kiddies to Chrystal Palace park, TWO long bus journeys but worth it as it is really a beautiful park if any of you are around that area (doubtful!). We saw the dinosaur statues which were fab, had a picnic, quick coffee pit stop for my friend and me and a play in the playground

I think I have a cold starting , I never get ill though so I'll be cross if I am as I can't afford to take time off work. Hopefully just a simple cold. C is also suffering this afternoon and one of my mindees was off today so I think there's a bug doing the rounds.

Meeeow Waters bulging sounds great! Don't forget to wear your most expensive dry clean only dress for your anniversary dinner tonight - maybe you'll get your meal for free, but make sure you don't lose your waters until your've finished eating ok. Would be such a shame to waste it

Tigger Happy anniversary for tomorrow! Must be the time of year. What have you got planned? BTW I don't do horror films - far too much of a wimp!

Impala I had to google image Impala as I've never heard of one and thought you'd made up an animal

Hyena How was the new baby? Please tell me he/she was as ugly as J was! I've been playing with that website that Giraffe put a link up of (with the gorge vid of N). I put J's first video on there - you probably saw it on FB, I'd forgotten how wrinkly and aesthetically challenged he was I've just done another one of him from today looking much more handsome

Mamafox Playgroups are great for babies. When we go, the grannies always snatch J the minute I walk in the door, haha

Penguinpoo So your scan is on Saturday? WOW!!! Will you find out what your having? Or will you keep us all in suspenders?

Agghh, my bloody nose keeps running and we're running out of loo roll, help!

OP posts:
PenguinPoo · 03/08/2009 20:36

Meeeow Glad to hear all went well today, let's hope this starts things rolling, otherwise Monday it will be Hope you enjoyed your anniversary
Tigger Happy anniversary for tomorrow, hope your eyeballs will have recovered by then
mamafox If ds was such a hit today, maybe you could leave him and run next time
Hyena You're mean you could do a bit of my ironing surely??
Wino I lied 4 more sleeps not 5, scan is Friday and yes if lo will co-operate we will find out the flavour? Wanna take bets Hope you feel better soon x

hippopotamum · 03/08/2009 21:18

Meeeow bulging waters are defo a good news - get a knitting needle... KIDDING !

Penguin only 4 sleeps, how exciting !! I reckon a little boy is brewing in there

mamafox · 04/08/2009 03:56

One granny did feed ds half his bottle while I sorted out the very clingy dd2, so that was a big help. I'm sure I could have left the building and she wouldn't have minded, granny that is, not dd2
I'm tired and grumpy today, have a blocked duct which is flippin sore and ds has decided he would like to be held for the entire morning. So when I've put him down to hang up washing, make lunch etc, he's wailed like a banshee....Finally asleep now in his moses basket, had better stay that way for awhile too
So gorgeous and yet so loud
Is that Crystal Palace park near Gypsy Hill? I have a friend who lives near there and we went to a huge park near her a couple of times.
Can you believe he is wailing again, just stopped but I'm sure not for long....2nd load of washing needs hanging out so I had better get up, dd1 needs to be picked up in 2hrs, and then ds, dd2 and I get to sit at gymnastics for 1.5hrs, watching dd1. Can you tell I'm extremely motivated to do any of this today, not.........

TiggerIsMyCat · 04/08/2009 11:14

hi ladies
thanks for the anniversary wishes we have a room booked in the hotel we spent our wedding night in for this saturday so we are doing that
meeeow bulging waters sounds very good!! GET WALKING!!! the friction is very good for rupturing the membranes go to mothercare and wander around there apparantly they give out newborn stuff if your waters break in the store
penguinpoo i am betting GIRL what have your feelings been?? whatever you feel/dream usually turns out to be the opposite i thought/dreamt boy for DD and she is very much a little madam girl
xx ei xx

WolverineInMarigolds · 04/08/2009 13:46

Oh please give me a cheat sheet . I'm lost!

I want to join in and my poor sleep deprived brain can't work out who everyone is. xxxx

WinomoreTheFruitbat · 04/08/2009 15:58

There's a list on FB

OP posts:
Hyena · 04/08/2009 17:35

What a wet day!
We've spent some time sorting out baby bits and bobs. Think we've pretty much got everything except for moses basket matress and cot matress - any advice on this? We've got a cot bed. I can't remember which matresses are the best.
Also do you get measured for feeding bras at 36 weeks or later?
Meeeow Any news from you today? Did you find out about Bishop's Score?
*Wolverine I'm glad I've got a bit of time to get used to new names before baby arrives. How are you feeling? How is F coming along?
Tigger Happy anniversary!! Have a fantastic time on Saturday.
Mamafox Blocked ducts suck. I used to get them all the time. Had it so much that everytime I fed I'd massage my boobs. Must have looked like a weirdo.
Fruitbat J was gorgeous when he came out. There's def something to say for how c-section babies look when they come out. I'' have to show you a pic of when L came out - ewwww!! Am offically all cuddled out. Little Ava is beautiful and so placid.
PenguinPoo THREE more sleeps. How exciting. xxx

Am going out AGAIN tonight with NCT ladies to lovely curry house. Heartburn started last night so Gaviscon is my new best friend. Can't see curry helping .

havingagiraffe · 04/08/2009 18:10

Evening ladies, sorry I haven't been around much but just haven't got into the swing of normal life since being home from hols. I am officially having a couple of hours off and have just had a lovely bath and actually got to dry and straighten my hair!

Don't think I've said yet how lovely it was to meet up and how nice to return to hear that Penguinpoo thinks I'm chilled and the one who cannot be named (yet) thinks I look trim - thank you lovely lovely ladies. hyena L is so adorable and so well behaved. I think N loved the attention so please thank her for entertaining him.

Tigger Your anniversary sounds very romantic. Hope you round the evening of with some "non-TTC, just for the fun of it" shenanigans.

Meeow Any news yet? You must be getting seriously ticked off by now or maybe she is here already. Didn't realise you had only been married a year - you two didn't waste any time on the baby front did you!

Wolverine Love the name. How are you getting on with your pack (geddit!) and you new home. How is F settling in to the madness.

Mamafox Ouch, blocked duct - remember my upside down feeding tip - chin on blockage and away you go - The DD's will find it amusing if nothing else. Hope you are having a better day.

Fruitbat Send us your name on FB for the website so I can have a looky at your vids - it was the only site that DP could find that would let you have the music. You really are a meanie about J when he was born - I thought he was a sweetie - you mean mummy!

Penguinpoo I can't wait to find out how you get on with the scan - I think a boy (or maybe a girl!)

Big waves to Hippopotomum and Impala and Hippo Aeuggh about the knitting needle - career as a midwife not coming your way!

Looking for some suggestions to get N sleeping better at night, I hope this is just an upset due to being on hols as I thought things were improving. Quick rundown - sleeps really well from 7pm until about 11:30 has feed and goes back down but from about 1am he is awake every 45 mins to 1 hour, has another feed at 3ish and last night didn't really go back to sleep until 4am and was then awake at 5:30 and I tried settling him until 6:15 by which time he was crying for feed so gave him to DP to settle which he did but then was awake so left him in cot with some toys for another half hour. He's never been great for the second half of the night but this is getting ridiculous. DP and I now have a shift pattern! He will drop off when we pick him up but wakes when put down again. Put him in a separate room on hols and things started to get better so he is now in his own room at home. I don't mind if he isn't ready to go all night without a feed but would like to go back to him waking for a feed and then going back to sleep! Help!

Meeeow · 04/08/2009 18:48

Good evening ladies, I really want to catch up but feeling a bit down so just popping in to say hi and let you know I'm still 'with child'

if anyone can find the time to answer a small niggle I'd appreciate it; I'm having some unusual disharge, kinda yellow and a tad slimy (so sorry for the grossness) I know I lost the mucus plug, and this is different not as stringy and snot like, is it something I should be concerned about?
