Sorry for ignoring everyone else !! so rude !!!

How are you Nemo ? hope all is ok missus xx

Panda any progress with the appeal ?

Penguin you are quite right to enjoy your last holiday as a couple - make the most of it . Rubbish about physio though

Wino how many sleeps to go ...?

Meeeow · 10/09/2009 10:20

giraffe I is in a pretty good routine (ish) at the month so you may be right
Hee hee penguin I shall indeed! Hope you get your apt sorted soon and that pain stays at bay!

panda thanks, I'm holding off with the pics of 'I' at the moments as she's really spotty

Fruitbatlings · 10/09/2009 14:05

Popping in to say I haven't forgotten you all!

Quickly for Meeeow forget it luv. She settle into a good routine when she's good and ready. J's just getting into a good routine now through no help from me and he's nearly 6 months now.

Very busy with wedding preps. I had no idea how many little bits there was to do. Just stupid things like do we have table name holders sorted? and so we need 'order of service' cards. Also trying to do the table planner which is bloody difficult!

8 sleeps till the 'marriage', 9 sleeps till the wedding

Meeeow · 10/09/2009 17:56

Aaaaagh!!! I have a baby permanently attatched to my boob all the time!!! She sometimes wants to feed after only and hour! And never more than 3 hours apart! This is normal right?!!

Fruitbatlings · 10/09/2009 20:15

yes it's normal

Fruitbatlings · 10/09/2009 20:16

try 24 hours a day/7 days a week with 10 minutes break if your lucky, tiring isn't the word

Impala · 10/09/2009 22:15

Evening lovely ladies, hope you're all well
Fruity Good luck with all the wedding preps - I remember that mild panic stage only too well when you realise there's still loads to do and the big day is fast approaching! But it will all get done. Try and get as many people to help as possible, even if it's just folding orders of service and so on.
Meeow I agree with what the others have said about routines. I will find her own routine in due course and all babies are different. It took E a while to find her pattern but I'm so glad I never followed a certain baby book which advocates routines from 2 weeks old as the author makes no allowance for the fact that some babies cluster feed in the evenings. There was no way I was ever going to get E off to bed at 7pm and indeed she didn't stop cluster feeding until she'd been taking solids for a month. However, she now follows the GF routine almost to the letter and I've done nothing to encourage her, she's just found her own way. Although we still have days when she just does her own thing I's feeding pattern sounds perfectly normal to me. Have a look on Kellymom here for great bf advice and in particular about feeding frequency. Have you thought about using a sling? I can feed whilst you get on and do what you need to do. It sounds as though you're doing a grand job though - fantastic news on the weight gain
Panda Sorry to hear about you losing your job and the hassle of the appeal Not what you need atm. Hopefully a wonderful exciting job is just around the corner for you.
Penguin Hope you get your physio appt through soon. Enjoy your holiday!
Not much to report here - E still zooming around on all fours and is pulling herself up to standing on things too. The cat has been out every day during the day since he came back from the cattery so hasn't had chance to see E crawling yet.
DH and I went to visit a nursery for E this morning as I've decided that I can no longer try to fit in work around her sleeping, especially as the length of her naps varies wildly from one day to the next. One day I might get 2 hours or more, the next day it's just half an hour so I can't plan my workload at all and I end up working at this time of night, which is hard, especially after a restless night like last night (lost track of the no of times E woke up!) Anyway, we'll start with one day a week and take it from there. I still feel she's very young to be going to nursery but I can't see any other option. And of course lots of other children go to nursery at a much younger age than her so I'm sure she'll adapt very well.
Nemo How is the bf going? Hope all is well.
Hello to everyone else and hope you're all OK.

Fruitbatlings · 11/09/2009 14:10

Check out the huge brazen spider that stomped it's way across our living room floor on FB.
In fact I'll put it on my MN profile.....

See it's fangs?

I actually dreamt I was nit combing my hair and all these spider babies were crawling all over the comb [heave]

Meeeow · 11/09/2009 21:14

impala thank you for that link. And yes I do have a sling, but am yet to fathom how to feed using it and I is so heavy in it! Good luck with the new move to nursery, I hope you find somewhere fab! Remember to ask about staff turnover, my sis worked in a nursery and said that can be something to watch for.

fruitbat I actually did have baby spiders in my hair once!!! I didn't even realise at the time but was watching back a home video and could see the crawling everywhere! Yuk. Thanks for the Bumbo offer! When can the use it? Do they have to be able to hold there heads etc? Gosh I'm soooo excited about your wedding! I can't imagine how your feeling! I loved my wedding, got well and truly smashed! I trust the boys have a sitter that night? [Grin]

Fruitbatlings · 13/09/2009 09:59

Fruity Just think today is your last Sunday as a single girl! Don't get too stressed out and enjoy it. As for the spider I think we had his brother in our house last night, even the cat was scared
Meeeow I see from FB you had a better night last night Lovely pics too
MamaFox Hope you are feeling better?
Impala I am sure that E will take the nursery in her stride (or should that be crawl??) Although I think you should do something more exciting than work when she's there
Nemo Hope BFing is getting a little easier? Love the new pics
Wolverine Good luck with the party today, think you might need it
Hyena You still cleaning?
Giraffe How did the first DP free week go?
Panda How is the job hunting going?

It's been very quiet in here lately?
Well DH has one week left in work but then we go on holiday so won't panic until after then
I chased my physio appt on Thursday, guess what. . . yep they hadn' received it My mw rang them and eventually I got squeezed in to go this Tuesday.I went back to work last Thursday but was in too much pain to go in Friday, gonna stay off til I've seen the physio as I now have pain down the back of my leg too. Hopefully she will work miracles
Hope you are all busy having a lovely weekend

Fruitbatlings · 13/09/2009 10:22

this is annoying. I think ill give up with this posting on phone malarky....

havingagiraffe · 13/09/2009 11:31

Morning ladies, I haven't posted in days which is really bad form as I don't have SPD, a newborn, a wedding to organise or any other DC's demanding my time but you know how it is sometimes.

Hope you are all well and enjoying your Sunday. Noah is currently in the 'close' sling while I try and tidy up - facing outwards for the first time don't ya know

Panda Any news on the job front? How are you feeling about it all, not too down I hope.

Penguin Put your feet up lady. Good job you chased your appt - they really are bloody useless.

Nemo We are missing you, hope you are getting the chance to lurk, even if you can't post. Other than the bf, how are you finding it?

mamafox Noticed on fb that you've not been well. Hope you're feeling better.

Impala Bet you will suddenly get loads done with a bit of E free time. Will you be tempted to put you feet up though?

I'm hankering after baby updates and pg stories from you all and wedding preps from fruity so c'mom ladies!

We are off to a picnic this arvo, hope the sky brightens. N and I start swimming classes tomorrow and I'm stupidly nervous .

havingagiraffe · 13/09/2009 11:40

Oh piece of advice for all new Mummies - Don't visit Yves St Laraunt when you are severely sleep deprived.

Your face will come out looking radiant and much better but your credit card will be much more tired!!!

hippopotamum · 13/09/2009 21:22

Giraffe how funny ! I went to the Yves St Laurent counter on Thu night and spent over £50 when I had no intention of buying anything oops !! they really do manage to magic away those dark circles !!

Fruitbat waaah not long now ! How exciting saw your scary spider on FB - eeek I HATE those little things.

Nemo how are you my dear ?

Hello to everyone else xx

Meeeow · 14/09/2009 12:45

Latest from us is I'm bullyin 'I' into feeding every 3 not 2 hours using distraction and dummy, feel a bit mean but I strongly suspect she just likes to suck a lot of the time and is not hungry ( plays with end of nipple comes off and looks around, smiles at me etc) oh and this is DH last week home with us! Yes I know I've hd him for 6 weeks! So I'm begining to panic about being a 'proper' mum!

giraffe tell all about how you both get on at the swimming as I'm very interested!

penguin at physio C*!k up! NHS I suppose?

fruitbat cheers for that, I may pick it up from you next time I'm over?? Speaking of which, I can drive again by the end of the week! And interested in joining you at a toddler group, wacha rekon?[Grin]

Meeeow · 15/09/2009 07:53

I have finally plucked up the courage and have a hair apt at 2:30 today! 'I' is staying home with DH and 4oz of expressed milk, hope it's enough?! Wish me luck I'm so nervous about being without her!

Hyena · 15/09/2009 09:26

Hi ladies,
All a bit mad here since DD and DP back at school/work. I'm spending lots of time catching up with people I've missed over the summer and organising the house/baby bits. Have had three bump comments this am on the school run - all of them believing my bump is small/neat. I looked liked an elephant with DD. Will post a pic soon so you can all judge. MW on Fri (not been for 6 weeks) so wonder what I'll be measuring......
Meeeow 'I' will be fine today. Enjoy yourself and relax.
Giraffe I'm staying away from all beauty counters - they'd have a field day with my dry skin and under-eye bags! How was swimming?
Fruit How are the wedding preps going? Excited? Can't wait to see piccies. Fingers crossed for beautiful weather.
Penguin Lots of luck for today. I really hope it helps. I've put you as 27 weeks on 'the list' - that's tomorrow isn't it?
Panda How are things?
Nemo I keep looking at the pics of gorgeous T on J's profile. How are you feeling? Really hope the bf is easing for you.

Hi ladies, sorry have been neglecting you.... no good reason really. Well I have had bronchitis for the last week which has really knocked me around. Felt so shite am on 2nd lot of antibiotics and have only just started reducing the amount of panadol I take in a 24hr period.
ds is 9wks old already and a little charmer. He's full of smiles and makes these little noises now like he's trying to talk, so sweet. He has been waking once a night for a few weeks, has settled into a nice routine all on his own. Goes down around 8pm, wakes around 2am and then again at 6am. Suits me just fine, as I'm not too tired to deal with the dd's and running the house etc.
Haven't read all the posts, will try and catch up tomorrow, but hope you're all well

WolverineInMarigolds · 15/09/2009 12:50

Hello fellow animals. God, it's beena LONG time since I posted. Time has just slipped away from me. Thank god the kids are back at school. Still pretty full on as building work has started again and the house is full of dust, builders and noise.

I'm rather knackered. F goes to bed at 7ish, then we dream feed at 10pm. She'll wake up between 1 and 2am for a feed, then 5 or 6am. Not too bad, but wish she'd do a tiny bit longer between feeds as the bags under my eyes are looking pretty feckin' awful right now.

Seem to be spending my day lurching from one child to the next to the next. Oh well. I can sleep when I'm dead right?!

I will try and catch up properly soon. But in the meantime, lots of love to everyone. And special big hugs to the ladies that are waiting for their new arrivals - whether they are SWI or couting down the weeks. I feel your pain! xxxxxx
