No haven't tried it, it was all very sudden TBH. She was in agony last night. But seems to have cleared up very quickly! She is still a bit red but thats it! Thank goodness!

NationalFlight · 05/06/2009 14:20

Ladies, sorry to butt in but I wondered if anyone might want to buy my old Bambino/ Cotton Bottoms naps and wraps? I am being a skinflint as I subbed to classified twice in the last year and lost my fee when I flounced namechanged so didn't want to pay again unless there was some interest...not after a great deal of dosh but have a mixed box including some pretty ones

Let me know if you want some pics etc (or tell me to piss off)!

Thanks

JennyPenny22 · 05/06/2009 15:48

Nationalflight - don't worry, nobody will mind. Is it prefolds you are trying to sell? If so, I think a lot of us have been try to sell them with no luck!

Would be interested to know what pretty nappies/wraps you have though!

Oh, thankyou Jenny and hope LO's bot is better now egg white worked very well for ds2 btw!

Oh dear well yes it is a bunch of prefolds, small size I think, with the purple edging...plus 12 BM wraps, 4NB, 4 S, 4 M, (mainly white but a couple zoo print)
The pretty ones are the CBs, all in a small size, there are three andy Pandy ones only used about twice, a spaceman one and a white one.

Pics on profile - and a wool wrap if anyone wants it!!

I might just hang onto them if nobody wants. You never know, might move to a soft water area before next baby!!

twoclimbingboys · 05/06/2009 18:05

Jenny - there are some night nappies i've never heard of listed here if they are of any interest to you?

JennyPenny22 · 05/06/2009 20:06

TCB - I have been talking via PM to the lady about them! She replied to my wanted add! Hoping to buy the 2 hemp ones. Somebody else on there has some more for £4 too so if I get on well with them and they are still going we might take those too.

UD have emailed me to say that my UDNN and other bits I ordered in RNW won't be ready for another couple of weeks which is a shame. They are hopefully sending the rest of my order (mainly inserts and cloth san pro) out before hand though as they are ready.

twoclimbingboys · 05/06/2009 20:36

its a shame UD are totally out of soy at the moment.

4 - I forgot to ask how the strawberry nappy lasted overnight?

4andnotout · 05/06/2009 22:12

2climbing dp was the one who changed her in the morning and he just said it was soaked but hadn't leaked, so it was as good if not better than a bumhugger, i still think bbh's and a flexiwrap are my favorite night solution now.

twoclimbingboys · 05/06/2009 22:18

I'm glad it didn't leak. I always feel a bit stressed selling things, especially as we hadn't actually used that one!

4andnotout · 05/06/2009 22:31

It is really lovely, it must be very absorbant as dd3 drinks up to 3x 9oz bottles of milk during the night and although it was wet it was still absorbing iykwim.

Bought another itti today I think i will need to try one of the limited edition prints soon!

twoclimbingboys · 05/06/2009 22:40

ooh lovely - what colour itti did you buy today?

I have just ordered Toby 3 XL fleece wraps to co-ordinate with the 3 XL UDNNs I have already ordered him. I think I may be taking it all a bit far, being quite anal about night nappies having wraps that match/co-ordinate well, but I like it! and it is all just adding to my large overdraft...

twoclimbingboys · 05/06/2009 22:43

I'm selling 2 fleece wraps at the moment - a size 2 tots bots rainbow stripe and a toddler stacinator that is turquoise with yellow moons and stars.

4andnotout · 05/06/2009 22:51

I got a large in rockmelon so dd3 will match dd4

twoclimbingboys · 05/06/2009 22:55

ooh - rockmelon and turqouise were my faves when Blake's bum actually fit in them!!! How cute I love having my 2 in matching clothes / night nappies.

JennyPenny22 · 06/06/2009 07:50

Does anybody have any other ideas for night nappies for Talia? We have been using day nappies (all bamboo, no cotton) and boosting it with an easy peasy hemp booster. But the last couple of nights she has started leaking through them. I change her when I go to bed and she usually sleeps through till at least 5am, usually 6am. In fact, it was only 5am the last 2 days, so I think it is probably due to the nappy leak! The one thing that does work really well is BBH but I don't have enough to go around! I have bought any second hand ones that I can find and they are not selling them new. Its the only nappy that I can find that works for both the girls.

Am getting some UD soy inserts posted this weekend so maybe they would be better boosting? I have thought about getting some UDNN in small but not sure how long they would last on her? Was hoping to wait till she can get into medium. I have a medium though and it is huge for her (Elouise can still wear it as a day nappy). I am not sure a small would sell on very well because not that many people buy proper night nappies for young babies?

twoclimbingboys · 06/06/2009 15:36

Wee Notions seem like smaller sizes than UD - maybe a medium of those would be ok on her now?

Or you could order her a medium UDNN and ask for a couple of extra sets of poppers on each side so that it could be much tighter than the average medium? (if you ordere a new WNNN - you could also ask Suzanne for extra poppers)

You can pick up standard minkis quite cheaply second hand (Toby's xl was £4 posted) - they have crossover tabs (so quite adjustable sizing) and an absolutely massive pocket. I don't use his often as I prefer not to use pul overnight, but it never leaks and lots of people do use them successfully. It could be worth trying one of those for Talia if you could get a small cheap enough?

4andnotout · 06/06/2009 15:48

jenny have you tried bumhuggers? I have a couple of smalls, they are the new style with a pocket and pull out hemp tongue. They are good, also the nappy i get from 2climbing, i think it is a baby bufters, they seem very good for nights too.

DD4 woke up screaming last night as she had pooed in her sleep and was red and sore, a fresh nappy and cammomile cream and she was fine again this morning. I think she is teething too which is likely to give her a bit of rash.

twoclimbingboys · 06/06/2009 15:50

Poor DD4 - I hate it when they poop overnight. Toby went through a phase of doing it, but wouldn't wake until morning and would end up with a really sore bum.

JennyPenny22 · 06/06/2009 18:25

4 Bumhuggers might be a good idea actually. I have a large I tried for Elouise but there was absolutly no chance it was doing her the night! But she does power wees so that doesn't mean that the nappy was no good. Were you saying you are selling some smalls? If so, how much did you want for them? Although they do seem to go rock solid in our hard water, but I guess if they are fleece lined then it doesnt matter too much.

JennyPenny22 · 06/06/2009 18:29

TCB - I did think about getting a WN - but I think they are well delayed too? I think it is about a month waiting time at the moment! Or has that changed again?

4andnotout · 06/06/2009 18:43

I will have a sort out but im sure i have a turqouise and a pink hearts in small, would ask £5 each i think

twoclimbingboys · 06/06/2009 19:31

WN are taking about a month! I am waiting for a WNNL and a matching fleece wrap for each of them at the moment.

JennyPenny22 · 06/06/2009 19:55

Thought so about WN. We need to get something sorted before that really. Talia is definatly a baby who doesn't like to feel wet!

Is that with postage 4? If you could see what you have I would be grateful!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 06/06/2009 20:32

jenny: If you decide you need anymore small Bumhuggers, I have 2 which I'm thinking of selling. They're the new style ones with pull out soakers - both have pink heart fleece inners. They're in excellent condition - nearly look new. Would say they've been used about 8-10 times max from new - and still lovely & soft! Would be looking for 6 pounds each (inc post) or 11 quid for the both of them together.

JennyPenny22 · 06/06/2009 21:13

Thanks rachel - will wait and see if 4 finds hers but if she doesn't find them or she does and we get on well with them, I will take them. Have you advertised them yet? Do either of you know what sort of age she is likely to grow out of them?
