Annvan, he is gorgeous. Such a lovely photo; it's making me all broody for my little man now

he must have a pretty forceful wee!

Essie3 · 02/10/2008 21:15

Daisy I think he's a cutie - but I'm totally biased! Check out the latest photo of him in his little duck egg pop in!
AnnVan Sebastian is gorgeous! Iestyn (my DS) is the mini version - only got rid of the last newborn babygro 2 weeks ago - and he's nearly 4 months! He was 6.1 at birth (+ 4...).

Also PMSL at the shite noise CD. I thought you were being ironic!

Essie3 · 02/10/2008 21:18

My God, AnnVan, that's some wee!

so sorry not been ignoring everyone. had the day from hell. thank you all so much for advuie and offers. however i am afraid i will not be buying anything at the mo. DH got made redundant yesterday (hence day from hell) so i cant really justify spending. What a nightmare!! It seems DD (and me) will just have to put up with dreaded cotton bottoms! (Which have leaked twice today - just to make the day that much better)!

Thanks though girls.

Ceolas · 02/10/2008 21:20

Ooooh beautiful babies!

Essie what have you done with the front of the nappy? Folded over in some way?

sunflower78 · 02/10/2008 21:28

I can hear a "aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh" chorus over all these cute babies...

rusmum · 02/10/2008 21:31

EVERYINE any advuce then on how to make best of a bad situation!!!

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 21:34

I want my baby noooooooooooow!

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 21:34

rusmum · 02/10/2008 21:37

need now to work with what i got.

babyjjbaby · 02/10/2008 21:37

whats wrong rusmum hun

Ceolas · 02/10/2008 21:40

Keep practising with the youtube videos. Lots of people get on well with prefolds. What wraps have you got now?

BigBadMousey · 02/10/2008 21:40

Rusmum - remind me what wraps you are using...

OP posts:
rusmum · 02/10/2008 21:45

cotton bottoms ones, 3 totsbots and expecting 3 rikis in post.

so sorry i feel awful!! was looking forward to experimenting too. LOL

LackaDAISYcal · 02/10/2008 21:45

Sorry rusmum; I hadn't refreshed the screen and by the time I had your post had disappeared off the bottom of the laptop screen.

Sorry to hear about your DH . I'll post those wraps to you tomorrow though. I haven't used prefolds, but know loads who do with success.

Ceolas · 02/10/2008 21:47

Sometimes you can make the legs more snug by pulling the 'slack' out through the waist after you've fastened the velcro. I do this with a gusseted tots wrap. Does that make any sense?

rusmum · 02/10/2008 21:50

i think so! ta.

BigBadMousey · 02/10/2008 21:50

Rikkis might help - have you tried pinning the prefolds?

OP posts:
rusmum · 02/10/2008 21:51

LACKA thanks!! I am sure there is a way to succeed!!

sunflower78 · 02/10/2008 21:55

rusmum - sorry to hear about your DH.

I hated cotton bottmos, but many love them, hope you find the right solution, good luck

rusmum · 02/10/2008 21:57

sun what you end up using??

What problems did you have?

Ceolas · 02/10/2008 21:58

Have you got nippas, rusmum? Are you fastening them or just folding inside the wrap?

rusmum · 02/10/2008 21:59

was just folding - nightmare.
not using nippa and fanning out back, still lots of leaks (at legs). not sure if she between sizes of prefold??

Essie3 · 02/10/2008 22:02

Hm, Rusmum, can't really help with the nappies as I've only used 2 types. (I'm still trying to shift my MB ones: I'll reduce the price if you want to make an offer - the nappies are good uns! But it's ok if you can't manage it. It's an awful time, isn't it. (Oh, I'm assuming a banking/financial link for your DH?)

Ceolas yes indeedy, folded down at the front. What you're seeing is the front flap, the one facing you if you lay the nappy down flat, folded over for a tiny baby.
Daisy his head control is quite good - but my friend who has a baby the same size reckons it might be because he's smaller - her baby is bigger with a heavier head!
Do you really want your baby now? He'll come when he's ready. Let's see if I can think of any other cliches!! Do you have a boy already? If not, you'll love it. The pee is amazing.

babyjjbaby · 02/10/2008 22:04

i think u would be better off using a nippa it might be getting lose round the legs when he is moving maybe
