WooHoo! I got here first!

ceolas - the inner layer folds out on the newer ones to make them quicker drying but that's the only difference. Have you tried them with a MF cloth - that made a lot of difference for us.

lollipop - the nappy sholn't poke out from the wrap at all or it will wick. I have to say that my Sandy's sometimes poke out of the top of DS' airflows but as long as the nappy isn't sodden we get away with it. Glad you almost had a colic-free night.

Lollipop, you don't want any cloth sticking out the wrap at all. The wrap is a barrier to stop any wetness getting on the clothes. Any fabric at all (even the tiniest bit) can mean leaks.

I honestly think this is a major factor in leak prevention! DH and I never get leaks (OK, maybe once in a blue moon) no matter how wet the nappy is, but any time anyone else changes DD, guaranteed the nappy will leak. Hence, I've bought a couple of pockets for when my mum babysits.

On that note, does anyone use disposable liners with pockets? We don't use them at all, but my mum was complaining about getting poo off a nappy the other day.

MMB, I used the night booster (smaller one) from my bumgenius and a fleece liner. It was sopping in less than 2 hours. Good fit though and very trim

It didn't leak though. Good old motherease wrap!

rusmum - DS slept from 10.30pm feed til 7am by 2 weeks, all by himself, infact it basically had a brilliant routine the moment it was born - DD is a nightmare, will only fall asleep on me (or her dad sometimes) or she'll just scream/feed for hours. Last night I thought of giving myself (and niples )a break, so I could have a meal, get washed and read DS bedtime story so I didn't bother trying to put DD in her cot, just kept her in the basket in the kitchen with us, and fell asleep around 8!! woke up crying about an hour later, but fell asleep on DP's chest til I got her upstairs and fed her at 11.30... not sure if it was coincidence or if she just wants "noise" around her, but think atm it's the best solution for us... but not sure how and when I'll break the cicle! Oh, and DP lost his job when preg with DS and didn't get another til after I went back to work- not nice, but on the positive he has a great bond with him

lollipop - I'm using nippaed muslins with ME boosters I got for Sm Sandy's with XS airflow til small ones fit her, and it's not too bad, worth a try if you can't wait to put Elizabeth in cloth (I couldn't!)

Ceolas · 03/10/2008 18:10

But do you have a lovely kitchen/dining room now?

Ceolas · 03/10/2008 18:11

How often do you change? Are the legs snug or do you have gaps?

rusmum · 03/10/2008 18:11

pooh leaks into wrap but not often clothes. wetness onto clother quite a bit

babyjjbaby · 03/10/2008 18:29

rusmum it was me who wanted prefolds hun dunno why u get leaks cos i don't sorry

Essie3 · 03/10/2008 18:56

I get leaking legs if he's sitting in his car seat for a long time, or sitting on my knee with his legs spread. But he has thin thighs.

That's my son in the nappy - not me personally with leaking in the leg area!

babyjjbaby · 03/10/2008 19:00

hehe lol i dunno why i don't get any leaks i must do summit different dunno what

rusmum · 03/10/2008 19:00

babyjjbaby · 03/10/2008 19:03

dunno what i do but when i use them i don't get leaks i just fold it into 3 fan out the very to part of the nappy and nippa it then once it is nippad i sort of pull the leg bit up to make it tight and put the wrap on

Essie3 · 03/10/2008 20:03
